Their service dept and especially the counter person is horrible with customer service skills.
My wife and I were looking for a new SUV since we just had our first baby. My wife and I spent all day test driving vehicles at private dealerships in the west metro. Unsuccessful at finding something of value within our budget, we headed back to our homeland of Lino Lakes. When we got to Maplewood, we decided to pull into all the dealerships along the stretch of Highway 61. We tried a few private owner-to-owner lots and then Volvo, without any luck. Next, we pulled into Nissan and were pleasantly greeted by a nice gentleman named Pedro as we got out of the car.
I was asked my budget and what I was looking for, and the salesman, Pedro, right away said he had two options he thought would fit our needs very well. Both of these were used Nissan Muranos, both within our price range and both with low odometer readings - and they just got them in via trade-in. We looked at both, one was an S (base model) and one was an LE - with leather, and some other rather fancy features you d expect in an Infiniti, but would be pleased to find in a Nissan as well. We liked the LE better than the other so we took it for a test drive. We were quite pleased. This was a one-owner car in mint condition, and hadn t even been detailed yet! The car handled very well, engine ran smooth as butter, and we knew we had found the vehicle that would transport us around the next few years as a new family.
Having happily owned one Infiniti with the exact same engine previously, and happily owning another Infiniti currently with the 3.7 engine, I felt comfortable with the Nissan brand, and wanted to move forward. We did some quick research on our phones and found that some of these models with the CVT have some transmission trouble sometimes, so I figured if they offer a warranty, I would jump on that. When we got back to the dealership, we told Pedro we were quite impressed, and would like to move forward with the car, provided they offered an extended warranty. They offered a 60 month/100,000 mile warranty for us. We moved forward and purchased the car. Our finance manager, Nate, was just as pleasant and helpful as Pedro, moved quickly to get us out the door with the new car and we were very pleased with the service provided by both Pedro and Nate.
Having looked a whole day for a vehicle and not finding anything of interest within our budget, and then randomly driving into the Kline Nissan lot and happening upon a vehicle in mint condition that fit every need we had, I can say I am quite pleased with our experience at Kline Nissan, and they way they considered our needs up front, offered up what they had, and sent us home with a new vehicle within two hours!
I would definitely shop here again, and highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a pleasant, no-pressure buying experience.
My husband and I both purchased our Altimas at Kline Nissan, mine in 2012 and his in 2013. From the start, they've been wonderful to work with, from sales all the way to service. Now we're talking about upgrading my Altima to a Rogue, and I've been working with Adam Bazille. He's been very informative and patient with me as we gather information and try to decide when to buy. We've decided to hold off until later this year, but we'll definitely be calling Adam when we're ready! I'd recommend Kline (and Adam) to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.
My salesman Adam was very prompt and polite throughout the whole process. It definitely set me at ease to not be pressured and be able to proceed through the process smoothly. In addition to that it was an added benefit that he included the entire family from offering snacks, waters, and having toys readily available. He was awesome!
SNEAKY DO NOT TRUST! I have my used car posted for $6,500, and have some interest already as it is priced competitively for private party sale. The lowest dealer trade-in price listed on KBB is $3,500. I expected them to offer somewhere near the higher end of dealer trade-in due to the features and condition of my vehicle, but they offered $2,500. LET THAT SINK IN. I even asked over the phone if it would be worth me coming out there and they said it could be. I can t believe these CROOKS are still in business. Don t be fooled by their MN nice attitudes they WILL try to take advantage of you.
My first visit took awhile, they were really backed up. Kline graciously made amends and my second visit for an oil change was super quick and efficient. I was 30 min early for my appt, but they took my truck in right away, got the oil changed, washed it, didn't try to sell me anything extra, and I was out in about 40 min. Just the way an oil change should be! thanks.
The sales, finance were fantastic, patient, focused on quality service.
We have worked with Adam Bazille on our last 5 cars. He's very personable, he knows our needs and we know that when we leave with that new car we've been treated fairly and are getting the best deal possible. He's amazing to work with and we will continue to return to Kline because of his excellent customer service. Thanks (again) Adam!!
Came in for an oil change. Great price for the work done, but the customer service seemed a bit clunky. Their waiting area isn't really conducive to holding more than a few people comfortably. While I was there the customer service reps appeared to be way over worked and lost another customers keys for a short amount of time.
I've leased two cars through Kline, and had a great experience both times! Chris Little was my sales person this time around, and was especially friendly and easy to work with. The service department can be slow, but has always been easy to schedule and has a nice waiting area that I work from while I wait for my car.
Recently bought my first new car here and the staff was really friendly and helpful.
The work is always done right the first time. I appreciate my service advisor, Tristan Feeney, who gives me great advice and recommendations. He always communicates timelines and estimates. Only the necessary work is recommended and I appreciate this!
Awful customer service. Wouldn't even answer basic questions over the phone and hung up the phone. Great job trying to get people to make appointments for service and bring their vehicles in.
My sales guy, Juan, was great. He went above and beyond to find the vehicle I wanted and communicated with me through the whole process. Everyone I interacted with was great!
I'm giving one star because they accept American express, the recliners were comfortable, and I was able to leave this place with my vehicle.
This was my first and my last visit to this location.
Parking
If you need service, just park behind other vehicles in the service area (outside). It's not one of those drive through the service door locations where you park indoors and they take care of you from there.
Amenities
Amenities are average for dealerships these days. Free coffee and treats. There is guest wifi. I don't recommend using any public wifi unless you're also using a VPN.
Service / Cost
A simple $40 oil change turned into more. Apparently the tech found that the oil pan plug was stripped and needed repair for another $40. I always have my oil changes done at the dealership because they do things right (I thought). How in the world the thread gets stripped is beyond me. This is simple work, not rocket science. And, they do this all day long.
The cost to replace the engine air filter at $29, I feel, is over priced. If you can spare a few minutes of your time, filters can be close to $12 at the auto store.
Multi Point Inspection
It's a complete sham and I have zero confidence any of this is really checked. The oil change includes a multi point inspection that covers: 1) interior/exterior 2) under hood 3) battery performance 4) under vehicle 5) brake condition
The "Factory Trained Technician" probably wasn't trained and wasn't a technician in the sense one would expect from a Nissan dealership or any dealership for that matter.
Headlights passed inspection. What? I knew one headlight wasn't working and somehow it was magically fixed by Houdini. Yes, it was still not working when I drove off the lot if you didn't catch the sarcasm.
Based on the fact that the "technician" didn't take the time to check the headlights at all--I have zero confidence in the work performed on my vehicle. The only explanation is pure laziness and/or bad hiring managers. What else are these employees not caring to do?
I will not be back and I will tell friends and family to not go here. I'll happily pay $77. Lesson learned.
If you're buying a vehicle here be careful and read the reviews that focus on "after the sale" support or lack there of.
Pretty awful experience! My boyfriend and I went in to look at cars and told our salesmen we had a finance questions we needed answered first to see if what we wanted would work in our budget. We had a car we were looking to trade and needed to know the trade value and what that would do for payment options and prices. They said well let's test drive one your looking at first, so we did and I LOVED the car. We came back and out salesmen says ok so ready to move forward. We said well no we need to know prices, and he said they couldn't give us prices, he had to go to management ask if he could they came back and said we can't unless your going to move forward. We said how on earth are we supposed to move forward if we don't have prices to look at to see if it's something we can afford!? So the salesmen went back one more time and said we were getting frustrated and needed a ballpark of an area, meanwhile my boyfriend are contemplating walking out at this time because this is the most ridiculous thing, we came in telling them we needed to know the trade value and how that would go forward in getting a new vehicle and have those monthly payments, it was no secret we weren't buying a vehicle right then today! And even had we planned on that fact that we weren't told the most important information! The salesmen comes back finally again for the 3rd time and says ok I got you guys some numbers, the poor salesmen couldn't even help us if he wanted to because the management wouldn't let him do his job, which in turn makes him looks awful, which is why we didn't get up and walk out because it wasn't his fault. I still LOVE the car I drove but there is absolutely no way I would go back there!
Great Service/ Good prices... Best waiting room with leather reclining chairs and Cable TV. I highly recommend
Tech was fine rest of service department needs training, they confused a boost gauge start up voltage as that was what the cars boost was set to (stock boost / no modification) And since the gauge shows in bars, that means that little turbo would ve been pushing 140+ PSI And that s impossible. I paid 119.00 for them to tell me the turbo is blown, I removed the oil line today and it s full of gunk oil.. thick black paste. I was told it was fine. I bought the car used so the owners before me must not have changed the oil very well. Almost every time they called me I got a different reason
Adam Bazille was amazing. He was able to assist me in getting out of a lease
Ivan was very welcoming when I brought my Murano in for oil change and new windshield wipers. He kept me informed as to progress of the work being done. Thank you for car wash.
I posted negatively last week, finally talked to GM got things squared... so I am removing my comments made out of frustration due to my being upsidedown on a trade where I have to take responsibility for my decisions on this matter.
Everyone was nice and attentive; we were not ignored. The sales people shouldn't be quite so aggressive and pressure you to buy a car. They should ask more questions as to why you are there. We made a hasty decision but the manager helped us out and everything turned out the right way in the end.
Adam was fantastic to work with. We bought a used car today and realized once we got home there was a scratch on the door. We went back to drop off our second key for our trade in and asked about getting touch up paint. Adam went straight over to the service counter and bought us the paint with his own money. Truly a great salesman and person. Ill be recommending all my friends, family, and even my enemies to go see Adam next time they are looking for a car. Thanks Adam B!
They were very accomodating with my work schedule and made the process super quick and easy. Randy was awesome.
Bought a car today from Kline Nissan and the people are amazing. Great Customer Service.
Was a good experience. Friendly staff. Knowledgeable. Patient; took the time to explain any concerns. Gave me sufficient time to decide. Closing was quick and easy.
Good atmosphere, friendly staffs, they are there to help you get your car fixed or to buy one!
Adam Bazille at from Kline Nissan sold me my Nissan Sentra. He is the best! He made buying a car easy. When I get my next car he will be my first call.
Best car buying experience, very humble and honest dealership . The sales team and rest of the staff were very supportive. Would suggest this dealership to everyone. great prices too. Many thanks to Emmanuel from the sales team for doing a great job.
Cheers!
Terrible experience. Bad enough that I'll stay away from all Kline dealerships.
Went in to set up appointment due to factory recall and was given very prompt and curtious service.
I loved how everyone shared in our excitement and kept the process moving so it didn t feel like we were waiting long during each phase. I also like touring the service area so I knew what to do when I come in for maintenance.
Chris Little (salesman) was extremely attentive and helpful prior to even arriving at the dealership. From sales to finance everything went smoothly, and it did not take an entire day.
Very helpful staff. Went in to purchase my leased car and everything went very smoothly. Took less than an hour from start to finish.
Excellent customer service I have leased 2 Pathfinders and bought the last one !
I recently purchased a 2015 Nissan Leaf. The salesman whom I worked with was Pedro Cruz. This is an electric car, and I found Pedro researching any question I asked of him. He either looked up the question or he asked the EV expert at Nissan Kline when he could not find the answer. He was competent, respectful, helpful and not pushy during the process of my decision to buy the car. I would give him a 5 star rating.
You do not want to know how I feel about Kline Nissan
Kline Nissan in Maplewood, MN is one of the trusted dealerships. And its because of the amazing people that work there. We got our 2017 Nissan Finder from there recently ( this is our second purchase from there ) and the experience reinforced our trust on these guys. Bob did an amazing job convincing us to make our next purchase from Kline Nissan by being totally honest and practical while trying to understand our parameters and available options. Great place, great folks like Bob, great overall experience.
Rahul Verma
Very nice staff. Comfortable waiting room. Great service!
Pedro was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him in the future!
The only reason I would not have Kline do future service work is that I live in Rochester MN.
Bought from Kline because of their response to meeting my budget!
I've bought my Frontier from them, and also bought a prepaid oil change deal that was supposed to be for the life of the Frontier. The service department is slow. They have never completed jobs on time. Two weeks ago I needed new tires and called them. The person I spoke with blew me off so I got the tires elsewhere. Shortly after that when I went in for my oil change they refused to honor the prepaid oil change.
I bought my car from Kline Nissan 5 years ago, and did not receive the $10-oil-change-for-life. Also, I was promised the service technician would replace the missing air valve caps on my tires but he did not.
Otherwise, Kline Nissan was fair, and transparent, with my service appointment. I give Kline Nissan a 6/10
looked at cars. staff friendly, but does not have 4x4 SUV 's. so not happy
I had an unplanned issue with my 2018 Nissan Rogue s performance while I was on vacation and had it towed to Kline Nissan (the closest Nissan dealership to that location) for warranty work. Tristan was incredibly helpful! He and his team identified not only the root cause of the issue I was experiencing, but also an issue I wasn t yet aware of and a factory recall advisory - and got it all fixed within a day. I felt his communication was excellent and appreciated how quickly the issues were resolved.
Great place to take your car and wonderful/beautiful customer service. Love Kline Nissan.
Service Appointment? I made an appointment 2 days earlier. I arrived on time for the appointment and checked in, but after waiting for 1 and a half hours they had not even put my Nissan in the shop. Really disappointing.
Purchased a 2020 Sentra from Juan G. Again, Juan was super helpful and accommodating. Rob helped get the deal done despite some obstacles. Thankful for the both of them.
I just bought a Nissan Rogue from Kline Nissan. It was a great experience, much better than any previous car purchase. The salesman, Randy Wimer, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle.
Well thanks bill for getting me all the information I needed for the new service arrangement I understand your the man to go to from now on when I come in there the have my Van service the Brien apparently did nothing to Help me understand the fine print From an ignorant customer point of view and I am coding Ryan when I refer to myself as an ignorant customer fpr these new contracts So thanks again for stepping up to the plate did helping me get things done in a timely manner.
Have to come back to get some more work done. Ryan in the service department had on of the technicians put dye in my oil to see where the leak is coming from. But the service is top notch.
Susan and I purchased a Murano two days before Christmas and our buying experience was one of the best presents we received this year.
Sean Hanley, our salesperson, gave us the best buying experience for a vehicle in 3 decades. Bryce and Sonja the sales management team added to that great experience. Forget boring finance guy, Ryan Mickelson made us feel great about handing over our precious cash, as we completed our purchase negotiations.
Everyone worked together as a team to put us into the exact car we wanted, while making us feel like family. We looked at a significant number of vehicles and dealerships, including the other two local Nissan dealers, but ultimately when someone makes you feel like family it's a no-brainer.
As soon as I pulled up, he came to greet me at my car door, before I even got out. Now that s impressive service. Everything was done quickly and well too.
The repair department was breaking my lug nuts on my Altima that I purchased at this location. They never told me and replaced them with different lug nuts that can cause rust and long term damage. I now have 10 different lug nuts. I discovered this because I had the purchase new tires. I would never trust them again. Something that small and they try to hide a mistake. You lost a Milne term service customer.
Brought in my Nissan Sentra to this dealership which is my Nissan Dealership in MN of choice. While it took 1 week for my car to be fixed,
Ivan was really really helpful and kept me up to date on the situation, and the loaner car was free, which was nice (under warranty). My two favorite service guys at this location are Tristan and Ivan. They seem to go above and beyond.
Good service experience. I've had my 2 Nissan Frontiers serviced with Kline Nissan and I've been pleased with the cost and quality.
Best Salesman!
We were at two other Nissan dealerships before we finally made our way to Kline and to Chris Little. We didn't get good vibes from neither one of the previous dealerships (being minorities we picked up on this kind of stuff). They told us flat out that they wouldn't negotiate the price because they are offering us the best deal already with their lifetime warranty (which I found out through my research that life time warranties are really a bunch of nice words string together but really holds no values for the customers). Chris told us right away that he would work with us and get us the best deal, which he did. We told him we already got loans from our Bank, he promised us that he could top their offer and again he did. Before we left he told us again and again to call Kline if we have any questions in regards to the car and to bring it in right away if we needed help with the new features, etc... His treatment of us just made us feel so good. We would definitely recommend Chris to any one that is looking for a new car.
I am very happy with my experience with Kline Nissan. I met Pedro Cruz when I was first exploring car options several weeks ago. He took the time to show me different models and explain the options available. It was a no-pressure experience. I returned several weeks later, after visiting other Nissan dealerships in the Twin Cities, because I felt comfortable with my experience at Kline.
2020 Update. Repeat customer! I was happy to see that the same salesperson who helped me in 2017, Pedro Cruz, was there in 2020. There were several options in stock and I found the car with the exact color and features I was looking for. I am very happy with the new vehicle.
No pressure great service, one of the smoothest car buying
I had a great experience at Kline Nissan. My salesman Ryan was very helpful and flexible to accomidate my schedule and financial needs. I would definately recommend this dealership if you need a car.
Had a missfire and wanted them to do the work since it was near by. Dropped it off Sunday night. Service writer called me and wanted me to approve the work but she couldn't verify the problem. She said cylinder three coil was bad but she couldn't tell me how she knew that. Why ok work when you can't prove it. So I told her to verify that it indeed was the issue. They verified and she broke down the time it would take to repair and she included part, labor, and diagnostic time. She planned on over charging me for coil install. 140 dollars when it should costed way less. She was going to charge me an hour when it only calls for .4 of a hour. Dishonest. So I approved the work with the hours modified to book time.
When it came time to pick up my vehicle I chose to discuss this incident with the service manager and he didn't admit it was an issue until I made him look up actual book time. Sure enough I was right and I told him how dishonest it was to over charge their customers. He asked if I wanted a follow up the next day about the incident I said yes. Two days later and I still haven't heard from him.
POINT IS KLINE NISSAN IS CROOKED.
VERIFY ACTUAL TIME.
Diana was awesome and helpful! Answered all my questions and friendly too!
Great vehicle purchasing experience! Juan Guzman is the man! Thanks for making the buying process so easy!
We LOVE Kline Nisson! My whole family has been going there for years to get our cars. We always work with Adam and he is the best!!! Always get amazing service. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Kline to get your Nissan!!!
Went in to get brakes replaced, came out with new brakes and loose lug nuts.
Poor purchasing experience. Took much longer than needed. And now they keep emailing me - even after I have unsubscribed AND personally emailed them asking them to stop.
Went for a tire change and was helped by Ivan. everything was well explained and expeditious! Will return for the next one
Do not waste your time here. The sales team is rude and not willing to work with customers to find you the car you want in your price range. I have been to multiple other dealerships and know what the car buying process should be like, Kline Nissan is not a business I would support when buying a car.
Had a not great experience a few years ago at Kline. Everything was great up until actually having to sign the documents to purchase. The Finance person pushing hard on extended warranties and gap coverage. We had to say no, so many times it made our head spin. With the person acting shocked and basically that we were stupid for not purchasing them. I realize all sales finance people are into hard sales tactics but Nissan Kline took the cake. Then our final contract was printed up incorrectly as they "accidentally" checked the box that we wanted one of the items. If we had not calculated out the payment to the penny before going in we likely wouldn't have caught it. Not surprised that they are not honoring refunds on the extended warranties. Might cut into all the profits they received from their high pressure sales.
Nice people however- Typical first time sales pitch.
Super excellent and very good service thank you very much
Friendly, honest and very accommodating. Very willing to find what we wanted without pushing us to buy something.
Always a long wait and frequently ignored. The schedule time for your appointment is never when you get helped. They are upset when they have to do recalls & take their time helping you.
Sales staff are fine but otherwise worst customer service ever. Wish I had stayed with Honda!
Glad I never have to go back. Employees are not so lucky. The sales manager seemed to be on a never ending power trip over his staff, making them check in with him and bring him over to push a sale when we were ready to head out. He made every aggressive attempt to get our business and I couldn't have been more turned off by his approach. I would never buy from this dealership. Staff were bickering on the sales floor at normal volume so you could hear how annoyed they were with one another. Our sales associate was kind and not pushy, thank goodness, but every man around her was throwing super negative and aggressive energy. Quick way to ruin a good day.
They guys and gals over at kline Nissan are over the top. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They made a lifetime customer right here!
I had my oil changed in a timely manner. The gentleman who assisted me was very pleasant and helpful.
Bought a new Murano here tonight from Pedro Cruz. We took a test drive Wednesday night and I exchanged emails and texts with him today to work out a final price on the car we wanted. We didn t know it, but this was his day off. He worked all day with us, got us the price we wanted and came in to meet us to finish the purchase, all on his day off. Amazing dedication and service. Pedro will definitely take care of you and go above and beyond. Highly recommend!
It was great while getting an oil change I also looked at cars. The waiting area was amazing as well. Nice and comfortable.
I do not like having to ask the price for each used car. Relying on the salesman's professed ability to have the prices memorized is not how I shop. I tried that once at Bloomington Subaru and found a 10,000 $ difference after I checked. I will not shop for a used car unless the price is posted on the car. If you change your policy please let me know.
Easiest and most pleasant purchasing experience ever, especially for a new car. Aaron was excellent ~ answered all of our questions, never pressured us for a sale. Love the car!
The service is way too slow. Waiting time is at least 2-3 hours.
