Awesome place with a massive selection but everything is a bit overpriced

Kittery Trading Post, I give five stars. This is a store that's filled with all kinds of things hunting fishing camping snowshoes and Boots. Anything and everything for outdoors the store is clean in the staff is happy to help if you're looking for something. Kittery Trading Post is a big store it is three stories high, counting the seller they have carved wooden statues all over. The design of the store is fancy. If you're in the area stop by and visit them they have plenty of free parking.

Mark everything up 200% and then have a 30% off sale. Yuck.

I visited the Kittery Trading Post Archery department Sunday morning with my 6 year old daughter. Having her with me and a smaller attention span, I was limited for time. I had been having trouble with my Brand New Matthews bow and really needed a professional to get me on the right track. Kevin Carney was not only professional, he exceeded my expectations! He fixed my bow after having had multiple visits to my original dealer and other places trying to get it dialed in. Every time I brought it somewhere else to be serviced, it got damaged more! Thank you to Kevin for all your help. If all establishments had great employees like yourself, more customers would be satisfied.

Great for back to school shopping! Good prices and a huge selection

If you love the outdoors, any aspect of it, then this is the mothership of your dreams. 3 floors of every possible article of clothing from every relevant brand you can imagine. I could live here. All your technical gear, gadgets, that'll have you covered literally from top to bottom. They've got provisions (it's maine after all they've got LOBSTAH) and bees that make pollen right in the store. I couldn't even cover it all in one trip. Neither could my bank account but if you're in Southern Maine you need to make this a stop on your trip.

While I like their products, their service is the worst. I had a cashier question me rather rudely when I bought snowshoes that had a promotion to get the poles for a penny. Today I was going to exchange xc boots that didn't fit my bindings only to be completely ignored by the salesman that was too busy talking to his friend about nonbusiness matters. Got my cash back instead. Never going back and will definitely tell others not to go!

Ordered an expensive pair of quality boots online at KTP and have bought things in the past. The boots didn t fit me properly and had to exchange them for the next size up. Their customer service is top notch and they sincerely care about their customers. If what I m looking for is in their store, I buy it from them to support them and the great state of Maine. Overall, KTP is an incredibly great store with caring, kind, and fair staff.

I couldn't find the gun I was looking for anywhere. This place had what I was looking for and at a decent price. They shipped to my FFL within 2 days. 100% satisfied.

Wonderful place.

My dad and his family grew up coming here and I finally came last week when traveling up to see my Uncle and cousins! Maple candies, clothing quality, and the magnet were awesome! Missed out on the fudge but that's okay, the staff and building were nice and well kept and friendly. Kittery.

Visit on weekdays to beat crowds and chat with staff. It gets nuts during events and sales.

The selection of clothing and equipment at your store is great, however, for those with life-threatening allergies to nuts, not enough is done to let people know you roast nuts in the store. I saw one sentence in the second paragraph under Our Store on your website, and nothing large enough in social media. After driving a significant distance to visit your store, we luckily saw the small sign posted between your doors. Don't get me wrong. I don't care if you roast nuts inside your store, but I would appreciate more apparent information.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I did contactless curbside, the brought me the wrong pair of shoes and were so beyond rude when I asked that they be exchanged for the right pair. Can t be refunded or exchanged. Should be posted that you can t return.

The fudge is amazing. They had everything I was searching for. Shoes, Sun shirts and sneakers.

First of all, I've been buying firearms here for my entire life. I've spent a lot of time in the store, and a lot of money. 2 years ago I would rate them 3 stars at the absolute most. But now I wish there was a "zero" star rating. The staff is inadequate, rude, and simply terrible. They had zero respect for me, and my time. I had some very simple questions to ask, but the salesman decided to turn his back to me during the middle of our conversation and walk away, only to call the next customer as if I was somehow not good enough for his time? If you want to get treated like you're trash go here, they will absolutely not let you down. I will never go back to this store. What a disgrace they are.

As I google to look for the ammo I found Kittery Trading Post, place order 3 days later got my product. I will definitely order again from them in the future fast shipping.

Been going in there for years for my hunting license and a few supplies before heading up to camp... this year I couldn't find any decent orange and the staff seemed unwilling to help. Ill be bringing my business elsewhere

This visit was during SepteberFest, so very busy. Staff is great and very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of stuff to look at. Takes hours to see all they have to offer. I bought some shoes at a lower price than I expected.

The best sporting goods store in the Northeast by far! My only complaint is why do they have to be so far away! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection! The best!

There were plenty of staff ready to help us out in finding the right gun for me, a first time owner. They knew their trade, and were ready with recommendations that fit my purpose in carrying a firearm, my size/build, etc. They took everything I had to say into consideration in further recommendations, and were very respectful. They were also prompt and made our trip worth the distance. We actually talked to a couple different employees when deciding on a firearm, and both were equally helpful. Would recommend Kittery Trading Post!

I was able to find a new Springfield Armory 911 Alpha chambered in 380ACP, for a very reasonable price. I would give five stars except their service is very bizarre.

While anyone just looking, could walk to a counter and ask to look at a firearm, look and just chat, if you knew you wanted to purchase something, you needed to take a number and wait.

My wait time? 1 1/2 hours, this made no sense despite having a number system. I lost count after 20 people came and left just looking while I was waiting to purchase a firearm - I had already called to verify was in stock and saw in the case. Again, from the time I took a number to the time a sales person spoke to me was 1.5 hours. Once I spoke with someone it took about 5 minutes to pull the box from storage, the background check took maybe 10 minutes, and there was not a line of people at the register for the whole 2 hours I was there. Why there was so much emphasis on showing, versus selling I do not understand, but it certainly will make me think twice about going back.

Great selection, nice discount for veterans day, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Whatever was baking in there sure smelled great!!

If there were zero stars I would give it for this store. First of all, my spouse and I waited over a half hour just to get serviced at the bow/arrow area. A worker was taking his time with this couple that were checking out and he completely ignored us as they decided they wanted more time to look around. Moreover, when the husband of the couple decided HE wanted to look at and try out bows now, the worker said NOTHING as the guy lowered his mask in the store to talk at length about the bow he wanted etc. will definitely never go back for bow service again and this store and it s employees are NOT COVID compliant and need to seriously re-think its policies. 0/5

Outstanding tourist attraction. Great products, prices to match, but it's a great time at a great place. Staff is very helpful, and friendly, we enjoyed our visit.

Great place to while the hours away. Anything to do with the outdoors is here. Guns Bows boots jackets fishing you name it. There is even fresh fudge. Give it a visit.

The place is great full of nice things for everyone. Except for plus size women. Hundreds of racks for normal sizes, four for plus size women, don t worry thought men they have an entire big and tall section

One of my favorite places to shop! Great family owned store with a great staff. Excellent selection of new and used firearms and accessories. Shop their sales and sign up for mailing list to get a 20% off coupon.

The downside is Maine's 8% sales tax but they do ship.

They have almost everything your looking for out doors to clothing. Guarantee you will come out with a bag from something you saw you wanted..fun place to explore too.

This place is great. They have stuff you literally cant find anywhere else and there are always a couple to choose from.

I went to KTP because they were the only ones that had the Henry lever I wanted. My usual store didn't even want to bother ordering it for me.
Not only did they have it at the best price I could locate on line, it came with a $50 gift card for anything but guns in the store. The purchase was very efficiently processed by staff there though I could detect they were a bit weary from the whole Covid distance procedures. Who could blame them? I'm sick of it too. All in all a great experience at KTP. I highly recommend KTP

Bass Pro before Bass Pro and unlike Bass Pro they are one of the few stores selling a huge selection of the Canada Goose brand. Great fudge too!

Huge selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff and reasonable prices. They also offer a military discount!

Selection of shoes/boots is always the best pricing that I've ever found, even considering no sales tax in NH (5 min away) and power shopping on the internet. Great selection, very current on brands and styles as well for women and children (no experience with mens).
Minus one star for this section of the store seemingly being woefully understaffed always, even during holiday season. Be prepared to wait to get sizes for shoes you are interested in.

Selection of upscale womens winter casual wear is fantastic, too. Returned a slew of Prana and Columbia items to Zappos when I found them ~25% cheaper there than Zappos, even with tax, and not on sale.

I enjoy coming here for their large selection of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. I've gotten some good deals on them.

However, at least half of the merchandise in the store is grossly overpriced. I saw a winter coat the other day that cost $700!

It's a fun place to visit and look around but, depending on what you're shopping for, not good if you're on a budget.

Women's Carhartt and hunting selection is sparse unfortunately.

Wow, what a place! Came here as a tourist and found all the souvenirs I wanted. Definitely a large place, and we spent about an hour just on the first floor.

A bit pricey, but if you can't get up to Freeport they do just fine.

Was there for the fishing expo on Saturday with my grandson. Shopping in clothing dept looked up and there was a man walking at me and my grandson holding a shot gun!!! Didn't know of course if the gun was loaded or not, we were quite startled to say the least. Is this acceptable in your store?? That people can walk around with rifles in their hands. Realize you sell guns but in this day and age the gun should have been in some sort of packaging???

Visited ktp looking to purchase my first compound bow, the sales man Kevin was awesome, helped with the bow selection in the price range I had in mind. After deciding on a bow he was very helpful with setting up the bow and upgrading the sight. Highly recommend anyone looking to buy a new bow to see Kevin

This truly is a great place for people who enjoy the outdoors. Everyone coming to Maine should check it out. Its a fun store to visit but beware of the poor return policies. ask before you buy. You might get stuck with something you don't want. Its no LL Bean

What an amazing place! Stopped in to pick up an item I ordered online and was amazed by the wide variety and selection of outdoor goods. Definitely worth a stop if you are passing by on your way to Maine or NH.

A must stop on any trip to Maine. They have one of best selections and widest varieties of any outdoor store I have visited . Nice employees and helpful to boot. You owe it to yourself to stop.
