Brought my girlfriend there to check out some bowhunting gear and instead of just looking we ended up buying two used brand name bows that are perfect for us and had everything setup for us while we were there. I have been in sales for years and THAT was the perfect example of customer service! We saved hundreds of dollars and even after coming back home we priced some of the things we bought and everything was priced much less than here at home. Actually going back up today for more gear!!! Can't wait because it is well worth the drive from Manchester, NH to Kittery, ME and back.

I love this place. Not only do they have a comprehensive product line in all departments and helpful staff, it is also the most diverse shopping experience in Maine. It is so cool to see bird watchers, hunters, campers, and outdoor fashion lovers joined by their passion for outdoors.

The greatest outdoors shop I've ever been in! And that includes BassPro, Cabela's, and many more.

Kitty Trading Post has three levels: ground floor is predominantly clothing, the lower level is entirely fishing, and the upper level is everything else. Anything you're looking for, they probably have 10 variants.

Budget extra time if you're coming for a visit, because it's going to take longer than you think to get the whole family out of here!

One of my favorite shopping places to visit in Kittery. I enjoy spending time just browsing all of the different sections of the store. They have an outstanding selection of clothing and gear for almost any type of outdoor activity you could imagine. The sections for hunting and fishing are extensive with just about anything you could want. The camping supplies are also quite good as well. They have a great selection of quality backpacks. There are also sections for skiing, cycling, and kayaking. The section for cycling is probably one of their weaker sections. If you are an enthusiast of cycling, you won't find what you want here. But for a modest selection of general hybrid/riding bikes & light-duty mountain bikes you'd probably be satisfied.

As you would expect for a trading post, they have a very extensive selection of clothing which cover all range of outdoor activities from the casual Boston hiker to the more serious outdoor devotees of hunting, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and camping. The only thing holding me back from giving them five stars is that in some areas their merchandise, particularly "designer-quality" outdoor apparel, is significantly over-priced. That said, they do put things on sale so the careful shopper can from time-to-time find a good value on high-quality merchandise.

These guys have THE most delightful customer service for their website! I had an issue with a gift card that didn't go through on an order. I sent them a message at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon. 10 minutes later, a wonderful woman named Maureen called me up! She was SO incredibly nice and took care of everything.

I had sent one message about the gift card interface not working and a second message after I placed my order, hoping they could credit me for my gift card, so I then received a second call from an equally delightful woman whose name I didn't catch. They were both so incredibly friendly and kind, they made my day!

I like Kittery Trading post, I only get down there a couple times a year because of the drive.

I went down today because I received a flyer they mailed to me. They advertised a sale on Ammo and other rueger products.

Ammo has been in short supply lately and I needed some and figured i would look at a new gun while there, they have also been hard to find but Kittery usually has a very good inventory.

Well ammo was very very limited and none of the advertised Ammo was in stock. The inventory of guns were maybe a quarter of which they usually have.

I don't really have hard feelings about the guns because I knew they have been selling out everywhere but I was expecting Ammo to be a little more available as they advertised it.

Well i at least able to pick up a box of less lethal 12 Guage shells. They had plenty of fudge so I was able to buy a couple pieces of that, and it was excellent.

I used Google to search for Kittery Trading Post and found an ad for them with 4 sub headings 1 of the sub headings gave a 15% promo code (KTP15). I called to order a trail cam and the clerk said the discount did not apply to optics. He said if you click on the subheading it will show that it does not apply, I clicked on it and it took me to a shoe ad. Nothing about optics being excluded.

After selling my shotgun, your employees were seen laughing at the price I was given for my gun. When you take advantage of a customer(Screw) Them, keep the fun in the back room. Business is Business RIGHT,?

Very nice store. Big selection of outdoor stuff. But the prices are high. KTP sells CRKT neck knives for 30 bucks each. Amazon sells them for 23 dollars. A few days ago, kittery was selling a pre owned smith and wesson neck knife for 15 dollars. Amazon sells the same knife new for 12 dollars. Even their sweatshirts are expensive. You can get a sweatshirt at Wal-Mart for 10 bucks. However, I still buy stuff here only if it's on sale.

Anything and everything, any man, woman, or child could ever want or need for the outdoor experience. This is equivalent or may be better than a bass pro or cabelas, stop in and you decide. The gun, archery, and hunting selection is impressive. The working and outdoor apparel is abundant. This is a must if you are passing through Maine. This is a great, large place with lots to see, make sure you take your time and stay awhile.

Covid compliant: masks, shower curtain dividers, sanitizing between customers at the register.

Full selection of items. Holiday items for sale.
Plenty of masks and neck gators.

The men's section was a bit messy though.

Amazingly large selection of gear. Good prices (not incredible but better than retail), and staff is well versed in what you need. Huge store, and I recommend visiting the close out tent if it is up, for lots of gear an additional 40% off.

I have been doing business with the Trading Post for decades because they are a local company. They make their facility's meeting rooms available for critical community issues like the deteriorating bridges connecting Maine to NH. The most positive recent experience was purchasing a backpack with a gift certificate from my staff - I described my needs to one of KTP's female staff and from their huge inventory she suggested a Dakine product. It has been great! Whether for my daily 30 mile cycling commutes to the rain forests of Dominica to the mtn bike trails of Arches National Park, I couldn't be happier

Terrible customer service. Not a one time thing, we have made a few big purchases and I regret it Everytime just based on attitude and service. I understand it's a Maine tradition but not worth the bad attitude and employees in gun department talking down to you.

This place is the best! Only in Maine and at the Kittery Trading Post could you leave behind a pair of expensive sunglasses and not worry about them being lost or stolen. Employee Jack Craig was especially helpful in locating the lost sunglasses and helping me get them back. He was nice, courteous, and very easy to deal with over the phone. Thank you very much! I will be back for sure.

The atmosphere is great clothing, guns, knifes the first floor has a completely different feel but it still blends together perfectly. Bob up in the firearms area spent alot of time explaining difference and is extremely knowledgeable. We will be back

Always a great choice of well known brand names of product's and clothing for the outdoors covering camping, hunting, hiking, skiing and just about any other outdoor activity. And it's on your way to Maine or on your way home from Maine. You can't nor shouldn't miss it. First stop over the border in Kittery.

I love KTP there selection of regular outdoors clothes and shoes are great, they have a ton of fishing and hunting gear (for men and children) I have never had a bad experience until recently. Now I know not all of my experiences can be perfect. However I am a young woman who has decided to pick up hunting for the first time starting with turkey.I went to KTP to get an Mossberg SA 20 gauge because I shot 12 gauge few times when I was younger and the recoil pretty much scared me plus I just got out of a turkey hunting class with NWTF and that's the gun they suggested for me. The guy was extremely rude pretty much told me the 12 gauge has the same recoil as a 20 gauge and a 20 gauge isn't a turkey gun (that's why they make 20 gauge turkey guns?? ) then he started talking to me like I don't know anything about turkeys (because I am a women?). He said you don't need a SA you will only have one shot. Then he goes on to explain to me that turkeys are jumpy? ( I know i will only have one shot im only getting it because it reduces recoil). I feel like this guy first off assumed I know nothing about guns, turkeys, or hunting, and is a horrible sales man. Worst first time attempted gun purchase ever. I was so excited to get my gun until I talked to that man. Also KTP has more camo bras and underwear for women then they do camo hunting cloths . They have more of a selection for children's camo hunting cloths then woman. And of course the men have it made with dozens of selections. With all that said I did not get my gun or my hunting cloths worst experience as a first time female hunter. Needless to say I will be going to Cabela's where they have there own brand for women's hunting cloths and I went to a local gun store and had a very nice man special order my SA 20 Mossberg Turkey edition
