Not a normal hotel, this is the main international scout center. It was founded by the founder of the movement itself. The staff is super friendly. Here, especially in summer, you will meet many guests from all over the world.

Seriously, BEST customer service I've experienced outside of America or Michelin starred restaurants. The facilities are well maintained and clean. The staff is beyond excellent. I have nothing but good things to say.

Indescribable place ... excellent in every way ... place to visit without fail ... 5 star staff, amazing scenery, etc ... ("just ask" for the lack of large shopping areas nearby, to buy fresh food etc ... prices are mostly well pulled to "any" Portuguese ...

We stayed with a group of 21 people in the KISC at the campsite and were received very friendly. Our place was well decorated and the toilet and shower facilities were clean and well maintained.
Lots of rainfall, but a perfect place for a summercamp. Lots of activities, lots of international experience for all. Very nice area. Like I said, a perfect place for a summercamp. Pinkies (volunteers) are keeping thinks very clean and tidy. Thanks KISC, I will be back !

An amazing scouting week back in 1999 is still one of the best memories of my life 20 years later! Kandersteg is a magical combination of scouting and Swiss nature and I would love to be back one day. For reference, I was a Troop leader back then and one of the best activities was the 9 hour hike up to that beautiful chalet at the peak of the Alps!

Volunteers pinkies are always ready to help. The history of the area and the chalet is awesome. And the views are 2nd to none.

Absolutely brilliant place to visit. Came here for the 2nd time this summer and totally coming back in a few years time.
Absolutely fantastic place to visit as a Scout. Views and terrain are awesome. Downsides are very hard ground, toilets and showers are not sufficient for peak capacity and food is expensive sourced through the site.
KISC was very welcoming and helpful. The view is amazing and the rooms look awesome.

I loved my visit here, I went for both winter and summer. The views on the mountains were fabulous, and the skiing was great!
Many scouts in the blockhouse and tower for a week, good football and volleyball pitches, other onsite activities closed because we were just before summer season opened. Good focus on recycling but it took several calls over several days to get pinkies to come and empty the full bags. Staff otherwise friendly and helpful. Great international campfire!
A wonderful place for international scouts to gather. The views are incredible and the staff are fun. You can stay and camp or just stop by for the day. It's a great place to see the Alps.
