Most of the tour is in Japanese tho, but really deserve to come.

Great tour which is accessible to all languages and very fun and interactive. Firstly, this place is about a 15 minute walk in the sun from the train station. They do have a bathroom available in the lobby in case you sweat up a storm Once you get there you have to sign in (assuming you made a reservation online which is quite easy, even in English). It is free and includes an hour long tour with 3 full beer pours afterwards. They provide an audio guide to help people follow along in other languages (very easy to use and no headphones needed). The tour itself is very fun and interactive. Best tour of its kind that I've seen (better visuals and more interactive than Asahi and Miller). After the tour, two Kirin restaurants are very close by. SVB is good if you want more beer as they specialize in craft Kirin beer.

Note that you may want to book the tour far in advance. Almost all tours for the next three weeks are fully booked already (early August).

All free tour with free drinks and snacks. The whole tour lasted for 80 minutes. The tour is in Japanese but they will have a printed English summary. You can smell the hops and malts and even taste the first and second press of the beer, which contains no alcohol. Then at tasting venue, each person can order 3 glasses max, can choose from 3 kinds of beer and you will get 1 free snack for the beer as well. The tasting cups are not sample sizes at all, they are full size 330ml glasses. They are so generous. The location is a bit far from the station but totally worth to visit. Make sure you make a reservation by phone or their website.

Free tour with amazing beer,and such a lovely open green park area to chill at the end of the tour. What's not to like? This was the highlight of our day! Note for planning, you need to make a reservation especially on weekends or public holidays to get this free tour to avoid disappointment. They WILL turn you away if they are full.

Amazing all the infrastructure and organization that goes behind this free tour, where you will understand more about the beer ingredients and process, have the chance to taste the raw ingredients, product in process and final product, to understand where the different tastes comes from.

One of the best brewery tours I've been on. Even though the actual tour was in Japanese, we were provided a pamphlet in English to follow along. Our tour guide A.Yoshi was excellent and Ms. Lulu in the tasting room provided some great translations in English.

A review from an English speaking couple... This tour was amazing, they give you an audio guide and a handbook to follow along with the Japanese guide. The guides are all so nice and welcoming also. The factory is awesome and you get to see the full line of production with some amazing visual effects. The best part though is everything is free! Including three really delicious beers at the end! If you like your beer then this place is worth a visit. The tour itself is informative but if you've been to a brewery tour you would have seen most of it before. The facility itself is impressive though. As others have mentioned you get to try three beers: Kirin Ichiban, a dark Kirin and also Kirin Premium.

There's also a park behind the brewery that has a nice view of the building.

It's also worth noting that even though the website said the tour was fully booked they still let us join the tour when we showed up.

Free brewery tour. Last tour starts at 16.00. three tastings (310 ml) and a small snack included. The tour lasts about 1 hour, it's interactive and while in Japanese, you can have some useful English material to read. Minako was our guide and dedicated some extra time to guide us non-Japanese in the visit. The entrance to the compound is under the highway.

Because there are many places where the process is not shown so much because of the characteristics of the product, just ask around how to make in order. It's a very interesting place to visit. I never experienced something like this before. If you plan to go there make sure to book a tour early! We went there in the last time slot available. You don't have to worry about bringing your kids in the tour! It is very kid friendly. They have tours in English too.
