Free tour that starts with a short video about the history of the Kirin factory, then a guided tour explaining the stages of making beer: ingredients, brewing process, bottling. Quite interactive. After the tour you can try three kinds of beer (or soft drinks), also free. Tour is given in Japanese, but there is a little book explaining everything in English. You need to book a place on the tour in advance, and it can be quite popular.
There is also an option of joining a beer brewing class, where you get to make your own beer. Tickets are on high demand and there is a lottery.
