They offer free tour of the brewery. But you need to book in advance as there are limited slots per day.It a 15 minutes walk from Shin-koyasu station.
You would experience a short video of the Kirin beer history in Japan. After the video you will be shown how the production and the ingredients that goes into the making of Kirin beer. You get a chance to taste the barley and smell the hop. You also get to taste the 1st press and 2nd press before turning into beer.
Next, the production line of bottling the beer and finally which all is waiting for.....tasting of the beer. You will be given 3 different premium Kirin beer to taste and tidbits too to go with. I would highly recommend to take part in the tour if you have the time.l
