Kings Dominion was the best. I had a great time there. It was so fun I want to go back.

Kings Dominion is very awesome. They have very nice rides, and waterparks. I would suggest coming here.

It's a wonderful place for kids and adults as well. The night time color displays are beautiful

My first time coming here was a experience I wasnt expecting, great rides, great staff, and amazing events. You start off walking down where the food and souvenir shops are, each designed with their own unique theme, and then you dart off in any direction to start your day of rides, from the drops, to the dominator, all of the rides me and my friends tried were a stupendous amount of fun, but none more so than the Intimidator! We will definitely coming back.

Went for Kingsfest music festival and ride the roller coasters it was awesome!!

It's an amusement park. Has lots of coasters for the enthusiasts. I find it a little off putting having to go through metal detectors at the gate but I guess this is the world we live in. Lots of kids running around unsupervised. RIght off of I95 north of Richmond, VA so easy to get to. Not enough shady areas or benches to take a load off. Everything is paved over with blacktop.

We went on a day that was closed to the public for our summer work party. It's great when closed to the public.

Always a great place to have fun for the kids. Just be prepared to get a locker most rides wont let you leave stuff unattended

Lots of big rides for older people and thrill seekers while having plenty for younger people to do.

Great park with an underrated collection of roller coasters.

Not very busy at all today. But, a lot of the rides were closed...

It s really good for those who enjoy the thrilling game but food is very costly

This park has gone downhill in the last few years. Was disappointed in the cleanliness and aesthetics of the place. Many of the older rides are showing their age and just need some cosmetic upgrades to make them more appealing. Also, they've cut back on many of the special effects on some of the rides like spraying water and shooting flames. They could do a better job with landscaping too; overgrown grass and weeds around some of the rides. One of the main coasters, Volcano, was down the entire three days we were there. Other rides were down on and off. The food and beverages are expensive but that's to be expected. They're slowly doing away with ride storage areas for bags and loose items and making you rent lockers to put your stuff which adds extra expense. Lines weren't too bad if you get there early or stay late. I'd recommend Busch Gardens Williamsburg instead of going here.

Un safe my daughter was on a ride and seat belt came undone but the ppl that was running the ride was laughing so before i went to prison for the rest of my life i got my kids and left after spending $800 ill never go back there really anit gone get no star from me

Visited late June. No lines!!! Had an awesome day with the kids.

Very cool and thrilling rides . Intimidator is the best

Not the same KD from my youth, but still a good time (the Paramount fiasco robbed the park of it's best).

My favorite amusement park!! Less than a 2 hour drive from southern Maryland. Park is kept up well and has some of the best rides and roller coasters I've been on!!

I love going to King's Dominion everytime we go we always have quality family time definitely recommend taking your family even the little ones can ride in plant Snoopy

Workers are really helpful. A very nice lady gave me some peppermints after I felt really motion sick.

Fun, exciting place. The service is great and always fun. The type of crowd seems to draw it down. If people were more clean, courteous and respectful, it would definitely give the place would be much better.

A lot of rides were closed. Seemed like the staff didn't know why so much stuff was closed.

Great rides. Got on 6 in one day. Dominator, Avalanche, Volcano, Shock Wave, Drop Tower, Flight of Fear.

Absolutely awful! some friends and I went to VA from Florida to go with some of our friends that live there. The lines were really long and the staff was not friendly at all. When we were about to ride the white water canyon the problems started. I was inside the raft already and had the seat belt on, when one of the staff told me I couldn't ride it because my shirt was swimsuit material and that I needed to put a shirt on top of it. I refused to leave and explained to her that it was just like wearing a tank, my chest or stomach was not exposed and it wasn't even strapless, she then kept arguing and decided it was fine, but she was not done yet. My friend that was sitting right next to me on the raft was wearing a spandex skirt with a tank on and she started with the same argument that her skirt was swimsuit material and that she could not ride the ride, the arguing continued and my friend had to put on a t-shirt and pull the t-shirt down and sit on top of it using it as a dress so she could ride. Absolutely ridiculous what the staff was doing it, and it was very embarrassing as everyone from the line was starring at us. If things could not get any worse they did. We were waiting to go on a slide for about 45 minutes and when we were about to go on it they said the ride was closed simply because it might rain, what a waste of time, might?! seriously. Few moments pass and we were about to go on another ride and it was drizzling and again we waited in line to be told that the ride was closed. Then it started to rain and we had been on the park for only 3 hours and were able to go on only 3 rides as of every attraction on the park was closed due to the rain and had no predicted time to reopen. We then went to guest services to speak with them if they could give us a ticket to come back the next day since everything was closed and because we drove all the way from Florida to be there, the attendant refused to help in anyway and said we had to buy another ticket for tomorrow, we then spoke to two more people from the staff and all they had to say was "sorry! no rain checks" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? we left very upset and frustrated to had paid for something and not had gotten a chance to enjoy it. What a horrible experience and customer service! This park is a waste of time and you will definitely see the unprofessionalism in the staff. Worst amusement park I've ever been to. Not worth a single penny. If I could I would give 0 stars. Save yourself the headache, and go to busch gardens instead.

October 12th, Was a beautiful day at the park. The rides were awesome and the night's activities were just perfect. The staff and actors did a wonderful job. My family and I had an amazing time.

We took the grandchildren here they enjoyed it, you will definitely get a good work out. The food is totally over priced.

Overpriced food, tons of stuff to do and explore. Try turkey leg. It's huge, 3 of us are full :)

Intimidator was intense, best coaster ever! Kingsfest was a joy and spiritually fulfilling!

We had a blast! Go mid-week and avoid the crowds! We went on a Thursday and didn't have to wait to ride anything! Also the $15 drink wrist band is well worth the price. And almost every corner has a drink/refreshment center for refills.

Great fun! Really appreciate Kings Dominion allowing Active Duty military and Veterans free access to the park for Independence Day! We had a great time riding all the Rollercoasters. (Although, I wonder how often, if at all, they wipe down the handles and seats all the people touch? Especially on a hot, humid day.) Anyway, great time and the fireworks we're awesome! Longest display I have ever seen. Thanks Kings Dominion!

It's so so so so so so much fun!!!! The rides are awesome the food is great and it's sooooooo much fun to go with friends and family its also really fun to see who's gonna chicken out first on the rides

Good rides but they charge extra for too many rides

Great place to spend a weekend. Get the day pass because the lines are insane.

Only one ride broke down the whole day and only took 5 minutes to fix! Only 4 stars because everything is mucho expensive

Decent enough amusement park. Several rides were down for mechanical issues, and the staff can be a bit rude. And btw, on my first run on the Dominator, it broke down at the top of the chain-lift, and we had to climb off, and scale down the structure to the ground. Seriously.

Excellent rides, and a great group activity. Just make sure you have some food in your car because the concession prices are through the roof.

the volcano and the dominator are awesome. the anaconda is really jerky and the churros are soupy

Love the roller coasters, the shows...not a very long wait for the day we went. Food and drink prices are outrageous. Had a blast! Becoming a summer tradition!

The rides are Great and the Attraction are Wonderful!!!

Been going to Kings Dominion for years and ever since Cedar Parks has taken over, I feel the experience gets worse every year. Prices continue to go up but quality goes down. This year they have decided to force people who bring a bag to carry their loose items to buy lockers by removing bag bins from several rides. It's essentially an avoidable microtransaction that you're forced to pay if you want to ride some of the best rides in the park. I paid 15 dollars for a cheesburger which would be reasonable if the food wasn't served cold either. I get that some things can be more pricey in an amusement park but come on, at least keep some quality to reflect that price.

Besides that coasters are still great and the park is fun, but there could be some serious improvements from ride maintence, such as fixing the volcano's fireball or the stunt coaster's sound effects.

Forcing people to rent lockers is a terrible policy when you've offered free bag bins at rides for YEARS prior. As if everything wasn't already expensive enough, now I have to spend extra just to ride a handful of rides. This was probably my biggest complaint of the day, but overall the park is still fun. 6/10

First of all, Volcano was down. Second the food was terrible. I saw workers standing around doing nothing as we were ordering. And the the chicken that was presented to us was mildly warm at best and hours old. When asked how long it would take to make some more mashed potatoes they replied idk maybe a half hour. I accepted the answer and moved on but the food was still terrible. Later that monday afternoon we had some ice cream that had chunks of ice in it and then they were out of a bunch of flavors. Overal, Kings Dominion has better rides but i will be sticking to Busch Gardens because they have better customer service and shows.

Awesome must say Tower of Terror was the scariest ride I've ever did I almost cried was so scared was fine until looked down from 20 stories up and they drop u like a hot rock literally free fall was AWESOME and concert went to Toby Mac he killed best concert EVER

We went for my daughters 6th birthday on Wednesday and I can honestly say it was the most upsetting visit we have ever had. We got arrived at 10:30 since we had a super excited little girl. We tried starting at the log ride but found out that it and White water Canyon weren't running. So then we walked over to Ricochet it was running while we were walking up to it but as soon as we sat down to get buckled in the operator informed us to get off because the ride wasn't working sowe got off and tried our luck at the Americana wasn't working either . So after then convincing our daughter that she was going to have a good time and still waiting for the water park to open. We ended up walking to try the Avalanche... well surprise surprise when we found out that the Avalanche, Volcano, and Crypt were all closed. We then just gave up and went to the water park. After that we went to lunch around 3 to then come back to the Dominator being closed. That was a total of 8 of the big rides closed. Not only did it disappoint our daughter, what a way to waste our money and day off from work!

Food prices were to high, employees weren't friendly nor were they helpful...much to busy talking to "friends" instead of working, games require a game card and well good luck getting that to work just to load money onto it to give to the employee to swipe, rides were not family friendly...my younger children couldn't ride or enjoy activities with my older children and vice versa. Rides that say must have a supervising companion actually means an adult and they will not allow an older child to be that person. I understand that not all parents raise their children to be responsible but seriously this is was a little toddler ride. Then there are rides that have cushions that the face is placed against, again this is in the younger childrens ride area...hmmm.....no cleaning of those all day long. Not to mention that they refused to allow a lady to ride kid rides with her son because she had a hat on. Yes, I said she was wearing a hat. No it's not posted anywhere. Nothing bad, just a team hat and was dressed appropriately for this type of activity. Mind you, there were some extremely unacceptable attire but nope nothing said about that. Now this lady had some beautiful hair and a lot of it, so I can assure you that that hat was not coming off her head, especially not on any ride that only goes 0-5 mph ...smh...people wonder by parents aren't more involved with their kids. Well here you go, their being told that they can't. One of the cars in the toddler driving school area came out the exit causing the gate to hit a lady before it proceeded into the pedistian area, thankfully no kids were there. Park employee didn't shut ride down before leaving the area, this leaving the area unattended nor did she take the time to check on the lady or call a supervisor or ride inspector. Multiple bathrooms were blocked by employees stating they were closed with no idea of how long it would take to reopen.
May I say that my tickets were complimentary tickets for services rendered and so glad for that because I would would have been really disappointed had I had to spend $67 per ticket for a family of 7.
Definitely keeping our trips at Busch Gardens and Water Country much more family oriented.

Me and my family love Kings Dominion campground for 10 years. We were told that the small cabin will no longer be avaible 2015. We are a small family of three and travel every year from NEW YORK to Doswell Virginia to enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Kings Dominion campground. We are looking for new vacation spot for small family we are now retired are have one child. Thank you KING DOMINION for many wonderful years,but we understand its a business .but you are just cartering to larger family only and you inot having a balanceo of large and smaii families now.small are told stay away and spent your money elsewhere.. i will spent elsewhere. The Hernandez from New York.. KING DOMINION had become big busjness its time to divorce ourelf from KING DOMINION

Great time. Employees need to learn to smile and play nice with the public. I use to work there many years ago, I know it's not fun dealing with the public...but still you need to smile and be polite.

Not crowded full size theme park right in the neighborhood!!!

Update 8/30. Came here at 530pm on a Friday before about day weekend. Unexpectedly was told the park closes at 8pm due to weekday schedule. Only three weeks ago it opened till 10pm on weekdays... Not sure this makes sense for the Friday of the las weekend in the summer... Cedar management can you please explain?

Many of the rides are fun, but the older rides--and all areas of the park in general--are very dirty. In the 1970s and 1980s, this place was spotless, and employees were very friendly and wanted people to have a great time. Most of the employees act like they don't want to be there, so our experience was so-so at best. Even with my company's discount, I thought the tickets were pricey for what is behind the gates. I sincerely hope things will improve.

After waiting in like for the volcano the ride was shut down. So we headed to the intimidator which was shut down. So we decided the wave pool would be nice, which was not half bad. Afterwards we waited in line for the anaconda like 1 hour before it was shut down. We were like 2 coasters out from getting on. Day ruined. If on your website you mentioned that your best rides were down or would have to wait in line for an hour then to be told the rides broke down we would have not came . Waste of gas money on top of 10 dollar funnel cakes and 5 dollar waters. Very disappointed. Went 06/18/2016 at least i didnt go sunday which was fathers day.

Kings dominion is the best place ever. It has all the rollercoasters and water rides you need

It's like a mini Disney Land, only cheaper! My daughter loved it. I was pregnant when we went so I couldn't ride, but I also enjoyed it! Lots of things to do, eat, places to sit and relax. It's not super crowded so you're not waiting in likes forever. We went in early September, so the water side wasn't open. Might make a difference as far as people traffic inside. We're going again this year!
