Awesome light show! Glad they decided to do it!! Great park as it is but this put them to the top! The Eiffel tower was amazingly spectacular! The way they set the lights to dance and squirm is beautiful! There's an ice skating rink, hot chocolate all around, gerat actors/actresses and music/shows, a petting zoo, a manger scene and lights to galore! Much fun awaits. Enjoy! Tis the Season, be Merry. Stay warm!

Be careful. The people who scan you for metal items are light fingered. One of them put my phone in his pocket instead of the blue bin. I had to ask for it twice until I reached in his pocket and he suddenly remembered he "accidentally put it there".

Winterfest is absolutely stunning and magical!! The Christmas spirit was strong there and unforgettable. My only complaint would be there isnt enough staff at the concession stands and games. But I am so overwhelmed with how great everything else is that I think it's still 5 star worthy. The drummer boys performance was hands down my favorite show!!! Will be back before its closed for the season!

We got season passes this year and we are happy that we did. We have probably taken our family 15 different times over the course of the year and our kids still get really excited every time we go. Outside of a couple saturdays in the summer, wait times were always reasonable. Park is kept in good order and they continue to add new rides and attractions. Renewing our season pass was an easy decision.

Went for Halloween haunt haven't been there in a long time. Was very disappointed. I expected long lines for the attractions but the tickets to get in are outrageous. 4 people $ 200.00 and that was with the "discount" for buying online. Then it was $ 15.00 for a drink in a souvenir cup "free refills" and food was $ 40.00 for 1 cheeseburger 1 order of chicken tenders and 3 orders of fries. As I said in the beginning long lines at the rides but didn't even get to see any of the"haunted attractions" because the lines were so long it was a 2 hr wait for them as well.

Fun amusement park! Worth the 7 hour trip from Cleveland Ohio. Similar but different than Kings Island. 2 classic rides from the former Geauga Lake. Solid coaster collection. Will visit again.

Thrill rides galore! This place has just about something for everyone. Of course, the main thing people come in huge throngs for are the main roller coaster attractions, tall and wide, including the well known Intimidator 305, one that goes 305 feet in the air and plummets you at 90+ mph towards the park, or Dominator, with supposedly the tallest loop on a coaster. There's also many, MANY more coasters like Volcano, one that is suspended and launches you from the inside of a neatly constructed volcano. Then there is the Drop Tower and WindSeeker, two thrill rides. One drops you from 300 feet in the air, and the other spins you round and round in a circle at 300 feet in the air. Then there's also the Eiffel Tower, a remake model that's about a third of the size of the real thing in Paris, that provides an observation deck on top and allows for breathtaking views of the park and beyond. There are also many kiddie coasters and attractions. As I came back this year, I noticed a huge expansion of the Kidzville section, now branded after Schulz' famous Peanuts comic cartoons. Then there's live shows beyond, and International Street is packed with shops and restaurants aligned on both sides of a fountain, being the entrance to the park, you are provided with a neat photo-op as the Eiffel Tower looms in the background over the shops on both sides of a fountain. The food is more than stellar, and can be found in every section of the park. I also commend the park for being great in terms of accessibility, and being friendly in nature. All employees are cheerful and happy and are willing to help. Definitely a staple in amusement parks across the East Coast.

I loved this park. I went in mid June and easily got on every ride in a day. The lines were short. I never waited more than thirty minutes for a ride. I did think the rides were kind of rough. They banged me around quite a bit, though they were still extremely fun. The food was low quality, which is disappointing when you pay $13+ for a meal (not including a drink). I would not recommend Hungry Hippo. The hamburgers were comparable to school cafeteria lunch food at six times the price. The park was super clean, with the exception of loose change on the ground (I'm not complaining, though). In the two days I was there, I stumbled upon $0.68 in coins on the ground. One thing I enjoyed about this park is the flat land. I cannot recall walking on a single hill while here. That's a major accomplishment, as I have never been to a theme park without hills. The park super simple easy to navigate, and the park maps located at the entrance of the park are super helpful when it comes to height requirements for rides and which dining locations accommodate certain dietary restrictions. I would recommend Kings Dominion to anyone who enjoys theme parks.

Beautiful. A lot of fun. Rude worker at Sweet Frogs there when trying to get prepaid cocoa. Women's restroom in Grove area was disgusting and had to listen to restroom attendants complaining about their jobs and why it's okay to not mop the filthy wet floors.

The worst experienced I have had at a theme park. ...

The worst experienced I have had at a theme park. My 5 year visited the park for his first time with 2 of his friends. There was a Charlie Brown show and after the show they said that the children could come up and take pictures with the characters. So my child ran up to Charlie Brown took a picture, the ran to Lucy to take a picture, he hugs her and she promptly pushes him off of her and turns away from him. So I asked the aid about this and her response was "well did she see him?", I spoke to the supervisor about this and his response was "well did she see him?" She pushed him back, what do you mean did she see him. She saw him enough to take two hands and push him. And I showed them pictures and neither cared!!!! So I asked when is it okay to push a child, there is nothing but concrete in the park, but no one cared because he didn't fall and crack his head open, so there is no lawsuit that they have to be concerned with. Both the aid and the supervisor were very nonchalant about it. I emailed cooperate and apparently they didn't seem to care either. So what do I tell my son when he ask Why did she push me? But the problem I have is that if I pushed her back they would have put me out the park, but some how it's okay for her to push my son. Good old family fun!

Visited the park on Labor Day 9/2/19 after not having visited for many years. Very disappointed that several rides were not operational such as the flight of fear, the log flume , and white water canyon. We rode one of the coaster rides called Back Lot and enjoyed that a lot and went back for a second ride only to find it was closed. Very disappointing visit and I m not sure I ll return since the park already lost the best coaster ride the Volcano!

Great park, especially for the low cost of their season pass. I find most of the staff extremely friendly and pleasant, and they have a good selection of both adult roller coasters as well as rides that appeal to the kids/family. They have a free pass for all 3-5 year olds, but you have to register for it before the end of May each year.

We purchased the season passes and they paid for themselves with 2 visits and free parking. We made a particular trip for July 4th by purchasing the additional meal deals but when we attended the park for July 4th- we were sent on a wild goose chase around the park because no one knew where the BBQ fest was being held. One hour wasted in the heat wandering around until one of the employees said "is that the pig roast" you are looking for? I was thinking, you all have walkie-talkies, someone can call around & find out?
Sooo, once we made it to the pavilion by way of a knowledgeable employee there was no signage as to what to do- guessed that we were to get a plate and serve ourselves- ok. Kinda lost my appetite because it was soooo hot to eat. Packaging for good- possibly package the macaroni , potatoes, watermelon, etc. in small individual containers. It didn't look appealing to see that the perishables looked like they were perishing. Also Would have been nice to know or have signage to where to go. Saw ads at the tower, but no one knew of the location by "name"- other than the heat- we beat it by way of water today. Worn out by the walk, we gave up and went to our hotel and swam in the pool that was not as crowded as the park and just as relaxing. Next year we are going to Bush Gardens.

Loved the thrill rides, best in the area, loved the water rides too. The anaconda was a little too bumpy and rough for my taste, and make sure you allot at least an hour for that volcano line!

Nice rides, especially the many roller coasters. Great little section for young children. Downsides are that major rides are sometimes closed and food is outrageously priced. Please "like" my review if you found it helpful.

All in all we always have a good time. The Kings enjoy themselves and so we. The wife wasn't too happy as we were at the kids places and all you could smell is weed. Either the smoking spots need moved or policed better.

It's been more than ten years since I last visited KD. I took my children recently and was appalled at the thug mentality in the park. The obscene language, t-shirts and hats were extremely offensive. If the lack of respect for themselves and others weren't enough, we got to witness a fight break out in line for one of the rides. Instead of trying to stop the altercation, most broke out their smartphones to record the violence.
We typically visit Bush Gardens and have had season passes there and am convinced it is far more family oriented and will avoid Kings Dominion in the future.
If you enjoy the mob, ghetto scene -go enjoy.

This park is for the riders which my vertigo will not tolerate, but if you need to do some walking this is the place, they have some shows but need more for those who do not ride, There are plenty of parking and places to eat outside the gate, the campground is down the street and needs some updating ie roads are still gravel and some sites are hilly and unlevel.
