If I could give zero stars I would. This company has the worst customer service EVER!!! They kept almost $700 from the company I work for. The product we ordered would not work for our application due to a change that was made. They don't issue checks & this was the first & only time we had used them for anything. I do NOT recommend them!!!! If you might need a refund, forget it....it's in their terms & conditions that they do not issue refunds.

Their website sucks!!! I have spent an hour trying to place an order totalling $1,800 and now have to call in and place the same order on the phone reading each item number and quantity like I would have had to do before the days of the internet. This is an ongoing problem with their website...not just a one time thing today. They need someone who can craft a website that works every time. Right now, they don't.

if you are not available at time of delivery they will take order back put back into stock and charge you restocking fee i have been a 15 year customer and they done it too me customer service manager is more worried about his bottom line than cus service I have always told the sales team too drop off outside gate if i am not available but notes on accounts seem to not matter since they got rid of outside sales team.. i would not have ordered anything if i did not need it the fact they automatically put it back too stock is preposterous never received a call from any customer support i had too call since my order did not arrive the day after when i was expecting it.. well that 15 percent restock fee will be the last money they make form me. norton metals wilbanks metals north american metals many others besides them.. update after 2 weeks still no refund had too call and get rude too make it happen said was store credit only, bad that after being robbed of 15 percent restocking fee of material I needed they try and keep the rest as instore credit. Service has really went down since outside sales was done away with. Try norton metals instead... Four months later and nothing from them, with outside sales team i was contacted weekly by personal salesmen I will continue to do business with other sources including metal suppliers from Oklahoma that deliver free..

Best place to buy stuff for fences decoration ect. Best sales lady is donna Bram hall very professional

For an order of 3 or 4 feet of material, you have to wait more than an hour. There are too many people working in that place to be so slow. I don't go back to that place.

I have been dealing with King Metals since 2007. I drove truck for them and I wouldn't go anywhere else for the materials and supplies I need for my Blacksmithing jobs.
As a woman in a "Man's" job title they are very attentive, respectful, and helpful to me and of my needs, they listen, and help me with every question I have about steel and welding. I took an idea into sales and Xavier helped me turn it into a beautiful plasma piece that I sell regularly to many families just buy word of mouth.
Thanks Mr. Clarence, Mr. Jerry Harris, & Mr. Eddie King. Because of my past employment with you I've been able to do what I love on a daily basis. " Design and fabricate beautiful pieces of decorative iron work."

They've been great to deal with for us. Their prices are very good. And they have so much its unreal.

I gave a low grade because they make many mistakes I ordered a material and I am going to pick it up nex day and he told me that they did not have it ordered you have to wait another hour or two ooo (or but when you make the mistake they charge you 20% for returning it no it's fair

As a distributor, they have a great selection and have some really good services but as an employer they are horrible. I was a driver and tore my ACL so I had to have a surgery to replace it and while I was in the middle of my recovery I was let go and lost my benefits so I could not afford Physical Therapy anymore. Anytime I try to deal with HR, the woman would never take my calls and would take days to respond and never actually help. She had a horrible attitude and I was told that I can apply for my job again but there would be no promises that I can have it back so I moved on and all of the other employees also have horrible stories of how she would treat people. My direct supervisor had a poor attitude and none of the employees cared for him but his supervisor was actually a really nice guy.

I keep getting charges on my card and i only bought 1 item from them. NOT AGAIN!

From 11/2019 to 01/2020, I was a warehouse associate/delivery driver with this company, located in Baltimore, Md. While working for this company, I loved my positions with the company., as well as working with my former co-workers. However, management (i.e., "Michelle McCloud, C.E.O.), is quick to terminate employees on unfounded allegations. E.g., a distracted motorist, called the state police as a result of me utilizing the shoulder of the road, to go around said vehicle. The police found no wrong doing by me, but Ms. McCloud terminated my employment with the company.

OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY to buy almost anything You can think of for a metal project. (even on a Saturday). The public doesn't realize how lucky they are to have access to such a fully stocked COMMERCIAL SUPPLIER. I've been comin' to this business since the early eighties when they were in a little family owned warehouse by the railroad tracks. This isn't the drive thru at a fast food place. This is commercial grade material at its cheapest and if You buy the cheapest Chinese imported stuff they got, Well Partner, be careful with it cause it's CHEAPLY MADE. I noticed in the reviews a few negative reviews cause it took 'm an hour to get in and out. Those customers don't realize, Kings Metals could work a lot faster, and fill bigger (more profitable) orders to commercial only business if they didn't hold so many hands for the small customers that seek guidance and are sometimes only a one time purchaser because they were blessed enough to get a tip on THE BEST PLACE IN TEXAS TO BUY METAL PRODUCTS !!!!!
Be realistic. Always shop around when spending $500 or more. Then come here. These People are consistently Awesome. You can't trick me into being a customer for over 3 decades......You earn my business every time. Hats off to Y'all.

Great price, couldn t find these gate hangers anywhere else around here. Processing took a bit, but I realize I was the small fish in that big pond. Great customer care, friendly people. I will come back for more.

I've been buying material from King for several years, and I've never been disappointed with their pricing and selection. I received superior service from Ehan today... one of the many fine folks who work for King Metals.

UPDATE: Just got off customer service line. Appreciate how they have corrected this issue. Still not crazy about overall policy, but we found a FAIR compromise, and after all that is what usiness and customer service is all about. Thanks you!!

I have done the last business I will ever do with this business. Their return policy is the worst of any company I have dealt with. They take 20% on restocking even just 5 days after purchase, and then only apply it as a company credit.
So at the end of the day if you have NO need to purchase anything from this company in the next 2 years, then you loose all your money. As an individual, I have lost well over $100 in this transaction.
They truly DON'T CARE, about the customer.
So LOWES, HOME DEPOT, McCOYs, and ALL other companies will receive any future business I will have, because they care about their customers.

We ordered online, but the customer service was exceptional. I definitely didn t expect to see our shipment at our shop less than 24 hours after we placed the order. They packed up our order and freighted it immediately. It s rare to find that level of service. The metal we ordered is for a large custom gate and is beautiful. Thank you.

8/18/17 Update...

Decided to give them a shot again since it's been a while and I actually did get a follow up call from their customer service department after the last review. Really simple order, one sheet of expanded. No cuts, not special order, just one piece of expanded steel. Despite there being 9 guys out here (2 of which are working) I have been here for 45 minutes, still not loaded.

Last time, I'm done, I'll spend my time driving farther out of the way instead of sitting at this disorganized mess. The best part of a visit here is the free water bottle in the lobby.

If you're not having a commercial order dropped don't bother trying to pick up same day unless you have plenty of time to kill.

Want it cut in half? Don't bother signing and returning the cut sheet after you make the phone order because they won't send the cut order to the outside guys anyway and you'll have to wait for them to go track down who took the order...which adds another 30 minutes to your wait.

Not a fluke bad visit either, this makes the 4th time in a row...done with these guys.

There is always some kind of issue when ordering products with this company. The latest experience was ordering 5/8" solid round hammered bar. The photo and description in the catalog and on line is of one product, the product shipped is 100% different. To top all this off the customer service i received was "Im sorry for that there is nothing we can do".
I would give them no star but in order to post at least one star has to be chosen. Zero on customer service, good bait and switch.

They are very slow to give the orders, they take too long to give 3 or 4 tubes of whatever it takes, I always have to wait 1 hour or more for just one tube

Its been a pleasure doing business with King Architectural Metals. Customer service has been responsive and knowledgeable. Delivery was quick and as scheduled. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend.

sometimes you have to wait long time , but I'll recommend this store !!

Worst customer service and company I have ever ordered from.

- 2 day shipping turned into 10 day shipping (blamed it on FedEx but I don't think they ever sent it to FedEx)
-A reorder was placed on their behalf without asking and with missing items
-The reorder and original order arrived the same day and I have to go out of my way to ship it back to them..

Don't go unless you have a lot of time to kill. On a slow day they took over an hour to fill my order that was only 1 piece of steel.

Guys loading and pulling orders are awesome especially the Big Guy

I have been buying from king for roughly 8 years. In the past year they have gotten very bad. They have shipped me the wrong items more than a handful of times and in the end it has cost me $1000's of dollars. If you do not babysit every order you are almost guaranteed major errors. I bulk ordered brackets that were dropped at my coaters, half the product in the boxes was wrong. This wasn't discovered until I got them back from coating. This was just over there 30 day return policy. they wouldn't take them back since they were coated black already. The boxes all had the correct labels with mixed brackets inside instead of what I ordered. This alone cost me over $1000 and then I had to re-order and check all 500 brackets. And just now I received an 8' shipping tube with the wrong material inside. This is just two of the many times this has happened. I am currently sourcing a new distributor for the materials I need. King is no longer worth it, I am sick and tired of the endless dissapoint.

Be prepared to wait an hour for order pick-up. The sales counter will say 30 minute wait but it will be over an hour. I wish they told me that in the first place I could have planned accordingly. Even for phone orders it takes about 30 minutes to get the items ready.

I own a business and have had 2 sets of fencing delivered to my customers house both times with damage! I keep getting the run around with sales. Know one in management will answer the phone to talk with them! Next, will be reporting them to the BBB!!!

Update: Now I have been banned from purchasing any more fencing from this company due to their poor packaging of fencing!! There has been a claim filed with the BBB, so I hope this place gets what they deserve! Take heed to all that purchase from this company from out of state! You never get the same answer from anyone! They care about going after shipping companies more than they care about their customers!!

I have ordered from this company in the past and was satisfied.i just ordered from them again and was very dissatisfied it has taken me almost a month to get my part..well really I still haven't gotten it.the sales person I had didn't seem to care if she sold anything or not.i would leave a message for her to call me back but she never did and that happened more than once..it use not be this way

King always does an excellent job. Great customer service, good selection, prompt and complete delivery. I'll always use them as long as this does not change.

Depends on the style of job you are looking for but looks more like out side work, filling orders for customers, seen lots of pipe and steel.
