Excellent service, they replied quickly to an e-mail enquiring about a product, which I then ordered online (RSJ) and which was delivered next day. RSJ is spot on, cut to length accurately and red oxide coated for corrosion prevention. All round great experience with Metals4u.

Hey great service, I had a few queries regarding the internal diameter and what would be the best way out and Scot Westerman was right there on the ball. I received an email virtually right away and was pleased with the speedy response, I had spot on suggestions of the material and included the url with three suggestions of the pieces I could choose from, Great. It was no bother or messing around. I shall definitely have pleasure in ordering more material from Metals4u. Cant thank them enough..

So easy to find & order my stainless steel requirements & by using the bespoke plate size selection tool there is no wastage as the items are supplied already cut to size. Brilliant service!

Placed an order on Monday and was told delivery would be Wed/Thu as needed for works on the Friday. Phoned up today, Thursday to see where it was and told it wasn't being delivered to them until Friday and wouldn't be with me until the following week. I specifically asked if they had it in stock for delivery and this was assured to me. Now all the works that had been organised have gone out of the window. Absolute joke.

Website says next day delivery , 2 weeks on and still waiting, and guess what , I had to chase them and then they have the covid line, jokers, avoid avoid avoid

Ordered online, one item was missing and one broke. A quick email and the missing and broken items sent out the next day with no fuss. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family.

Not only was the order late in arriving, but the condition it arrived in gives the impression that the company doesn't give a single solitary sh......

I wasn't expecting my order to be individually bubble wrapped but thrown into a bag loosely and then into a single walled cardboard box that did it's best to keep it together has resulted in everything being badly dented and scored.

Suffice to say, I will not be using this company again, and I would not recommend you do either.

Used Metals 4 U when they were in Pontefract, primarily because they were local and reasonably priced. I was worried the move to Wetherby would affect their service. I needn't have, still the same great service and prices.

Not only did my order arrive late, over half is either rusty or damaged and simply unsuitable for use. I have emailed 3 times over 72 hours to get these replaced and they have not had the decency to respond. Won t be using these again.

Placed an order, and specified a 3 day window for delivery. Received a confirmation e mail which said I would be notified when item had shipped. E mailed them close to my delivery dates to ask what day it would arrive. Was told item has been delivered. Tried phoning, but no answer and no reply to my e mails.

Ordered 6 custom length steel rods over the weekend, arrived Tuesday morning. Well packed and exactly to my specifications. Very happy, will definitely use again and recommend.

I have used metal4u. For about a year now with as many as 30 orders which when ordering over the internet have been fine but over the phone they got it wrong 3 out of 3 times for the last orders received Alumium instead of steel , list goes on . Asked and paid for polishing then told wasn't charged for polishing then pay extra for polishing then wait 4 weeks for below average polishing job . I'm up to my eye balls with this company time to find a new supplier.

The ladies in the reception are gorgeous! Loved it!

Poor service took a week to advise the item ordered was not in stock after all. Still charged my card. 7 weeks later after 2 phone calls and being assured I would receive a credit to my card no credit has been made.
Not recommended.

Quick service, quality product, delivered bang on time

Ordering online from Metals4U was very easy. The information provided regarding delivery schedules could be improved. There seemed to be a problem with delivery of part of my order (it did not arrive as per the information provided) but once I had contacted them they sorted it out very quickly and the materials arrived the next day. The items delivered were exactly as specified in the order and as advertised on the website. Overall I'm very happy with the service I received.

Don t waste your time, find a local steel supplier. Don t believe the hype about next day or prioritised delivery. Even after phoning they just sat on the order, when I chased it they told me they were out of stock. Customer service on the phone wasn t exactly friendly, clearly an inconvenience to have to speak with their customers. Won t be using again, and found what I needed much cheaper from a local supplier. Now let s see how long they will take to refund me my payment.

I ordered sheet metal as well as angle iron only received the sheet metal am yet to receive any angle iron or even hear a reply from my first email, I ve emailed them twice haven t yet received a reply

We ordered 9 days ago-then heard nothing at all- and having since read the other bad reviews online we chased up the order today.

Glad we did- now told items not in stock but the order will be dispatched hopefully in next 1-2 days. No email, no phone call, just what appears to be standard answer to orders being chased up by the customer.

UPDATE. Delivery did then come as advised. So 1 star review is now 3 star.

Very very poor customer service. Ordered items on the 8th April - after much back and forth finally received only half of my order on the 27th April!!!! No response on email from 4 separate messages - and constantly told on the phone "we will get back to you" to no avail, calls are never returned with updates. Job is now 2 weeks behind schedule. Will be the last time i use this company.

Happy with the product, price, and delivery times but the lack of product knowledge when phoning to ask for advice (this time on panting/bonding steel) was an unfortunate surprise.

Ordered 4 aluminium plates 152mm x 6.3 mm cut to a custom length of 400mm.... you would expect a company dealing in metals to be able to work a tape measure and cutter ....plates delivered are all cut 3 to 4mm out of square and some are cut undersize....by the time i have squared them up they will be undersize and useless for what i ordered them for

Agree with all the other reviews. Order now 6 weeks late. Don't reply to emails, don't answer the phone. Twice I've been told it wil be dispatched that day, and it never arrives. Truly appauling, wish I could get my money back, but I doubt they can even do that!

Terrible. Messed me about from the beginning, they said order would arrive on X and no sign a week later, multiple orders like this. Every time I call I am assured it's arriving. I can only conclude they're liying or so incompetent. If it's going to be delayed, be upfront an set expectations, not mislead. Avoid if you need your product.

The website was was very easy to use and I found exactly what I was looking for. The item was delivered in less than 24hrs and the price was also very competitive.

I ordered several items, but after a week of not even making it to the status of dispatched, I had to cancel my order and source the materials elsewhere to get them sooner. This is where the trouble started. I had to request a refund no less than four times, over the course of four weeks, each time being told that I would be refunded, and yet each time not ever hearing anything nor getting any refund.

I eventually had to speak to a manager, who was then after another week, able to help. The customer service before that was awful however, and I would not deal with them again because of this.

Ordered online weeks ago, money taken but nothing delivered. No one answers the phone or replies to emails, I assume they have gone out off business BUT still taking on line orders. Buyers beware !

Depite 3 emails to customer services, and many phone calls, Metals4u will not reply in regards to an incorrect order. I ordered a step drill, I received 5 wood drills?! Ridiculous. I will not use this company again.

Second time I have used them and both times I got delivery next day. Wouldn t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a quick delivery.

Service was excellent in every respect - custom sizes cut perfectly, fast delivery, exceptionally well packaged and prices way lower than my local stockholder. Will be using them for all my future steel supplies.

Customer support it pretty shocking. Items turned up damaged, told me to email photos never got a reply. Extremely over priced for pretty poor metal quality.

I ordered 2 items and in a 3 week period, but only 1 arrived. On 3 occasions I queried this and on each occasion was told either that the missing item would arrive the next day (twice) or that it was on its way (once). I finally gave up and asked for a refund. This was quickly made, but only the value of the item with no partial refund of postage cost, though I did subsequently receive an apology.

Good service especially for small quantities, but BY ECK THERE EXPENSIVE ! Suggest phoning up non-online stockist for a competitive price.

Overall the quality of their products and customized cutting is OK. However, it took a while to get order right. Initial delivery was missing several parts. They quickly sent out the missing parts, however, when this arrived they'd actually sent me someone else's order. Finally received the missing parts with the 3rd delivery. The only remaining problem was that because all the pieces weren't cut at the same time the missing parts are at the opposite end of their tolerance range which is a bit awkward when trying to make a square box (original parts were about 2-3mm too long, but at least consistent). Slow to reply to emails, best to phone.

Absoulutey Useless, don't waste your time and lose earnings waiting for your materials to arrive, ordered on Thursday 22nd of October checked the delivery status on Tuesday 27th...nothing listed, gave them a call, and I was told it would be with me on Friday 29th...nothing turned up, phoned them to be told it hasn't even been processed, I told them to cancel my order and I've managed to source materials for a next day delivery from my usual supplier.

Have ordered several times from metals4u and each time I have received outstanding service. Never any missing items and repeat small cuts of metal make my life alot easier. Thank you very much :)

I have used this company 3 times over the past month for a costume that I'm making. The first order was to get some samples of varying profiles of aluminium flat rod. Then the 2nd two for my stock orders. All the times the checkout was spot on and the items delivered in quick time and packaged to arrive undamaged. Great service and got what I was after. Would definitely recommend using this company

Awful service, The items were listed as in stock on the website I explained to the staff I needed them urgently and I was told that's not a problem, after 3 days of chasing if the item had been dispatched they informed me the items were not in stock and they could not fulfil my order wasting my time. Don't bother with them, order from someone else.
