Overpriced confusion for adults. Heaven for kids. Cleaner than a 777 - British Airways Business Seat.
Has lots if educational information for kids and is very fun but the food is pretty expensive
Personally I have not been but my brother took my children and they said they had a wonderful time trying out a few of the occupations. Not much time to get around everything (4 hours) but did enough to have fun.
Food was ivernpeiced and not nice and they apparently don't cater for dairy free , vegan or halal diets this is what they were told. Lucky I gave them food to eat before and whilst there.
Got to keep the money for if they want to go again. But it is expensive.
*feedback * Was a 5 star but this changed it*
I was going to book my sons birthday party with for January time however I have changed my mind and lost faith before I even had a chance to pay for the party and have decided against.
I sent the enquiry form via the main website and as expected I did get a call back but I was not in the position to answer so I called back at my earliest convenience to reach a voicemail. This happened several times over and it was frustrating that I have to wait to be contacted by a member of staff.
Grace had emailed me suggesting that I pay bank transfers which I had thought I had put the money across and emailed advising that I had sent payment. I had no response until I asked for confirmation and Grace confirmed no payment was recieved. I looked at my account and the money was bounced back because I was given the wrong bank details. I had flagged this with Grace. Baring in mind this had been going on for a good couple of weeks at this point.
She had thanked me for bringing it to her attention but there was no apology. She did send the bank details again but I have felt irritated by the lack of ease with booking a birthday party. So I did not action this.
Yesterday I had another phone call from grace where she had addressed me as Catherine which is not my name.
Great place for 6-8yo curious kids, lots of activities to do & things to learn. We started going at age of 4 but now at age of 6 he starts to really enjoy it. I like that every couple months there are new activities added. However, adults should bring a book/magazine as time might go slow, coz some jobs last 20min and parents stay outside a workshop. My O2 doesn't have connection there too, so book it is. The star down is for the exit shop where you can spend your earnt kidzos, 2 years ago there used to be table games and other interesting toys to buy, now we have 800+ saved and the most interesting and most expensive is probably hatching dinosaur egg, but since we had 3 of them from somewhere else, we keep waiting for new stuff to arrive to the shop.
We had a fantastic time at Kidzania today...issue: was the delay due to queuing... getting in (slow queuing owing to only 3 people checking people in)..I had two 7 year olds and both were entertained and we could have continued all day.
At first I thought 4 hours was a lot of time but once you take the unavoidable queuing time and the time taken to actually do the activities, time runs out quite quickly..Perhaps they could consider adding extra time - we could have easily done another hour to get more out or our visit. Healthier eating option would be good too...my advice, bring a packed lunch.
Clean, professionally run - a great day out - we will definitely return..keep up the good work!
Great place for children of various ages. Lots to do, places to eat and bags of fun. Like a micro theme park if you like - kids queue for the activities they would like to be part of, so be expected to have to wait around a fair bit. Having said that, the kids really enjoy the activities and jobs they partake in! They have their own currency which kids earn and spend. Although it's best to have a look in the shop beforehand so you get a good idea of prices, so you're little ones don't find themselves with too few currency to make a purchase at the end of the day! There are also places for grown ups to chill and let their kids roam! Other than that it's a one stop shop of fun!
A big disappointment. Took my son for his 10th birthday, left early because they were bored of queuing. Really not worth it for the amount of money they charge.
It is awesome and epic! You should definitely go!!! :-)
Good place for older kids .but nothing for toddlers .all my boy was doing was sat on step of the fire engine all quiet watching the other kids and then got told can't sit there cos of health and safety ..it was the only thing keeping him occupied .......
A bit of common sense would go along way
Fantastic idea to allow kids an insight into the world of work with a large variety of jobs available. Some pay the children, some they have to pay to do, (generally the food ones), children can also open a bank account for their earnings!
We took my granddaughter there for her birthday along with some of her friends and they loved it!! I am so pleased the puppet show was not there when we went!!! We would have walked out and complained also!!!
Nice place to go out, loads of activities.
A bit chaotic with the ques.
Parking in Westfield is exspensive.
Great trip! I'm ten and I went on a school trip here and it was AMAZING! 29.50 pounds and I got 7 jobs and a bank card! Amazing idea! Only problem is that some of the staff were a bit inattentive but it was a minor problem! Totally recommend!
Loved it! Staff could be a bit quicker with the turn around of activities but really enjoyed our time. Expect to que for a while during busy times
All the staff were so nice. My children didn't even need me and it is so worth the price.
The experience was definitely not worth the money. Qeueues were far too long for the interesting "jobs" - wouldn't recommend it as a fun family day out
Kidzania is fantastic except you spend a lot of time queuing, so you need longer than a 4 hour slot if you want to do more. But overall a fun filled day out!
It's a new lil word. Not only did the kids love it. Me and my husband. Did to. It's very good and will go back again.
Very bad experience nothing to do kids hated it waste of money. Wouldn't recommend it
Great set up and kids love it. For those with a yearly membership, it is a bit disorganised. You need to order you ticket online for your child and pick up the adult ticket at their office. Would have been more professional if this could have been done by the entrance. Took a long time to get my ticket.
Children and adults are tagged so it is very safe and secure. However, there is no barrier by the exit (once you find it) to stop children from running away. Mine is 4 and often runs away.
Inside I found it personally a bit too warm and hectic. Waiting lines by each activity. And lacking seats for adults.
I went on a Sunday so weekdays are probably better.
All in all, great for kids. My son loves it but me not so much.
Avoid during school holidays. They let far to many people in, had to queue for 30 mins to get in initially, then ended up queuing for over an hour for some activities. Some staff were absolutely apauling, very rude. On the way out through the gift shop no staff were working on the tills, so we asked a staff member if someone could serve us waited ten mins still nobody came so we left. It's a shame as we have been outside of the school holidays and had a better experience which we also left a review for.
The level of lack of concept of consumer rights and customer service is shocking.
Don t go
Wow, where should I start? Have been to the places three times, twice this year and once two years ago. Didn t have a good start. It seems 5 months ago started train-racked downing completely. See all bad reviews flooded that the reply to each review doesn t even bother to write a message back but splashed it with templated reply. Look at the numbers of complaints and and their promise to investigate I do not think they can be able to cover all that many.
First time two years ago already experienced having to pay for adults and under 4 to find have nothing to do. Left after about 10 minutes. Not great customer service.
First time visited as 4, even bought an annual pass, we found to be sent up and down to get tickets booked online, be shuffled around and behind regular customers and kept told to wait, no point paying the fast pass then, have to assert myself to get help, sent to a fake manager with grey top just condescending and telling us off, being rude, have to insist many times to eventually escalated to a reasonable person claimed to be the real manager (at this point don t who to believe) told me the grey shirt guy I identified will face consequences. Till now 40 minutes had passed. Chaotic. Inside queuing minimum 20-30 with cold staff being unkind to kids, bullying. Long queue and lack of creativity is indeed developmentally inappropriate. All stores/shops are fast food otherwise fast fashion. Wrong value to teach.
Second time was invited by a friend. The grey top guy still at front desk, seems continue being rude and cause problems to his managers. Why is he still there? But this time got to see the real level of I competence from its birthday team, the head, Sarah, despite holding this title, showed negative level of customer service knowledge and capability. Provoke and escalate to the customer being kind enough to come forward to try solving problem that caused by lack of training of even the very basic info such as no cake is allowed, holding the print out version of fine print with the clause regarding food highlighted vaguely mention cake, when the customer complained passionately she immediately threaten to call the security further police on a woman clearly not able to speak English well, and she will not let her talk even noticed that, completely indent to use this to her advantage and shut customer up, made her cry on daughter s birthday with hand made cakes outside of the entrance, especially with the exceptional impression from China branch, and thought her would even be better. But no. Far far from it. Horrid ordeal.
Seems all the good and reasonable had left, only the unsympathetic. Due to the management not being competent. Pray you don t have to deal with the staff/customer service. Otherwise you ll experience the best customer service. I was shocked to see how they easily and quickly threatened security even police on a customer who had paid several hundreds pounds. Honestly this made me feeling extremely uncomfortable and concerned for the safety of anyone will be in contact with Kidzania, parents and children. Don t mention seeing how many reviews depicting the experience to find the advertised wristband being not working or no one responsible to care.
Thank you for your personalised the reply.
I would edit the reply adding a timeline when this transition will be over. But unfortunately going through changes is not an excuse to this level of horrid and threatening experience. Many ppl should have to fired a long time ago, start with the grey top guy and head of birthday Sarah.
5 & 6 year olds enjoyed it but far too busy too busy over half term which meant lots of queueing (so much queueing). Even a 30 minute wait for pizza!! We managed do 3 things and a bus ride in 4 hours.
Great place to take the kids for 4 hours fun. lots of different jobs although the more popular ones can take 30 mins queuing. Best advice is spend your kidzania cash of fun activities as you need to go a lot to get anything of value from shop.
Great experience for my 11-years old. We came early (about 30 minutes before opening). The waiting paid off. There weren't too many kids around. My boy certainly had 4 hours of fun. One star LEDs because I as a patent had a hard time keeping my kid Form emptying my wallet on all the real money food / drink / fan stores inside. Otherwise this had been a great day here.
Fantastic place for kids, 4 hours of fun, if kids are aged 8 and above an adult doesn't have to be present. Gives the adults time to wander around Westfield, or watch a movie. Also a designated parent has a bracelet to wear so kidzania can track the whereabouts of the parent or carer.
I visited on Saturday with my 8 years old. He loved it and we knew about the concept before from Divercity in Bogota. He loves the jobs and getting paid . The staff are friendly but they could be more efficient in the rotation of activities . Eg k- market activity should last 15 minutes according to label buy it took them well over 50 minutes and not because it was busy but the were very slow. The concept in excellent just need to train staff at brig quicker and explain better to children on their task. Most staff are teenagers which is great however they seems to be playing themselves sometimes instead of working.
The concept is great, sadly the experience was not enjoyable for our family.
Kidzania booked too many people in a time slot, more time spent in queues than activities.
Whilst i understand why adults are not allowed to queue alongside the kids, staff should be stationed at each activity to prevent other kids que jumping/ pushing in front of the smaller ones who have patiently waited for their turn.
Went for the first time in school holidays yesterday it wasn't a good experience? Queues are ridiculously long, over 2 hours to get in, over an hour to try out activities. Staff are rude , they look miserable and are very slow because most of the time they are talking amongst themselves rather than running the activities smoothly. People push in and parents are taking up spaces in the queue when it's not allowed and staff allow it. They need more staff to manage the areas. Just overall lack of organisation was very disappointed
Great place for children. One time is not enough! It will be great if they will have a little play area for babies while you wait for your older kids...
Where do I start. in theory great concept. but overall let down by poor staff. but then again responsibilty lies with the mangement. been to the dabai one, and london is such a let down. staff are not enthithiastic at all. no smiles. no pride. nothing. no sense of fun or personality. if it was just one memeber of staff fair enough, but its all the way through. this is suppossed to be entertainment. total let down. get off your backside managment and train your staff to give kids a positive outlook and fun day.
Always take my twins there. They love it and so do I.
KidZania London offers a unique experience of the real world, tailored to kids in a fun and exciting way. In a way, it is a bit like a real life Monopoly experience with the ability to earn KidZos (KidZania currency) and spend it too. The only trouble is that one visit is not enough and the kids are desperate to come back to do more activities. It is great that you can drop off over 8's and take advantage of Westfield for a lunch and movie with the wife without having to worry about a babysitter for a change!
Depending on the time of year you visit will determine how busy the queuing can be, however usual expectations for visitor attractions should ensure no one is upset. Strategically planning your activities can help so a mixture of the smaller/quicker to enter ones and some big ticket ones should provide a good mix of activities.
This is a very, very nice concept, and the children were over the moon about the experience. I would suggest that the activities accommodate more children per session, and the staff should smile more!!
Kidzania is a fun place for explaining how hard ground ups work . It shows how you can build up your dream of living in this world. Costly but fun and me and my friends enjoyed it so much. What do you think of kidzania? ....
It was an adventurous thing to do with 6 and 8 years old. Concept is brilliant, but need much more final touches to make it more `child friendly`. I would not let my 8 years old to explore the site on her own, as there were not to much attention form the staff that was lacking enthusiasm and positive energy. The biggest disappointment was The Chocolate Factory and Climbing Wall - adults workers looked bored and `sleepy`. My child was left with bruises and discourage to do that kind of sport again. The tickets are too expensive to see so many uninviting and unhappy faces.
- Not recommended the parents with little kids and pushchair. Not helpful staff and no lift to access, I carried my 2 children aged 1 and 3 for 4-5 times upstairs and downstairs.
- Food area is very disorganised
- dance studio have dance for little ones every 2 hrs but after waited for 2.5 hrs later we had only one song to dance and asks us leave. Poor babies waited so long for dance only 3 mins...? Made me so angry...
- one of the staff shouted at us, because we are upstairs and there is no lift for public and keys were downstairs at the library, she asks us to leave our buggy and go downstairs to get the keys... do you think anyone leave their 1 & 3 years old babies upstairs next to the lift and get the keys from downstairs...? She shouted as well...
- of course if you have a kids over 4 or maybe 5 years old no pushchair then definitely I would recommend...
- not for little kids again again again...not much activity for them, all the time said they can t...
It wasn t much fun for the parents with little kids...
By my daughter: KidZania is great for kids in junior schools, we went on a school trip and really enjoyed it. Queues can be long for popular jobs, but if you get there early you are in for a chance to do your favourite job. My personal favourite was the capital radio station where you had to present a show or read news.
Well... read on the website what this place is if you haven't. Kids seem to have a great time but it wasnt at capacity ( 600 out of.1000?). Pilot training was not at all interesting for my 10, 12 year old kids especially as you "pay" for it. Gift shop at the end is almost comical but then to be expected. If you are a geek and bored, download an nfc reader / writer app and leave text messages on the bracelets that dont have write protection. Also send messages to your kids via the one or two terminals in the facility as the staff then have to read them out.
Brought my son here for his 6th Birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It's quite pricey but worth it. The waits were around 20 minutes a timd to go into a "job" but this was fair considering the amount of people there. The workers were all in great spirits and very helpful. My son loved it and we will back, and I definitely will be recommending this to my friends and their little ones.
aggressive to my kids and none truthful people bad languages to parents and awful service
Total lack of organisation. Kids were running wild, pushing into the queues and the staff were not enthusiastic. I get this is a 'kid city' but staff supervision around the city itself is greatly needed. I witnessed a staff member ignore a young boy that was asking for assistance, twice!
Overall our experience here was poor and I do not feel you get value for money.
Queues are too long. Kids are really disappointed about what they can buy with their kidzania money. (A 50p cheap toy)
My son had a wonderful time here. It was amazing and we will be back for sure.
Amazing for kids
Must visit for children
It was AMAZING! I loved every second of it! Thanks Kidzania!
Well what can I say, if you have a 5 year old and go in term time probably ok.
The early years area is absolutely disgusting. Nothing in there whatsoever to do except walk around or watch an iPad. The kitchen smelt pungent and there was dirt everywhere. The furniture was ripped and the job was missing the top so quite dangerous. The fridge was incredibly dirty. I didn t let my daughter touch anything at all. We then decided to walk around with her but that a difficulty as not one lift worked. Some queues were over 50 minutes long so after 2 hours we gave up and wrote it off as a bad experience and never return.
If I knew the early years area was that bad I wouldn t have paid for her and 2 adults, I d have let me 10&12 yr old wander around by themselves.
My kid loved it and enjoyed very well and wants to go again. Kudos to the concept.
I Loved The Place It Is Amazing A Lot Of Activities To Do. I Would Definitely Go Back There Soon Some Time. Staff Are friendly As Well.
Bad experience, nothing to do for a 2 year old who is bored of soft play area's and pretend play, website promises puppet shows, story time and face painting but did not come across this at all! Daughter would have loved to join in with the emergency services and vets but they will simply not let anyone in unless over the age of 4, not even with an adult to accompany them. It was way to packed and over booked, ques to get into every activity was more then an hour! Very disappointed for the money i paid.
Suggestion;
Make early years area more fun and interactive, with more activities other then drawing on a piece of paper.
Allow certain dates/times for early years so they can experience other activities, my daughter would have been in her element if able to go on the airplane, make smoothies, go in to the Cadbury's factory.
Don't allow so many children in at once, would work so much better if say 40/50 children per 4 hours time slot.
I loved seeing all the activities.I had a slush puppy and it was the best.it was clean, cool and fun!
If your kid has a good sense of imagination then it's great fun. Good variety of stuff to do so four session is easy to fill. Adults just be prepared to trudge round following them. Food is usual extortion.
A turn for the worse. My 10yr old was gasping for a drink when I got her after 4 hrs. Last time they could make drinks. Now there is not even a water fountain for them. I would have thought the meal I bought with the ticket would have included a drink but not so and no line item to buy one. You can't see the food options until the checkout. You have to take money with you now. This should be made clear on the website. That's bad.
Last time she got to go on 15 activities and just 10 this time with the queues.
Not a place I'd recommend anymore as it now is.
Long queues despite restrictions on numbers, many activities were not engaging and staff appeared not to want to be here.that said the 2 staff members on the BA Simulator were very helpful and made the experience much better. Overall a disappointment and very over priced, will not be returning.
Absolutely awful far to many children let inside if you want to waste a fortune queuing all day I would recommend otherwise give it a miss
I have a very disappointed 4 year old who left in tears after one activity in over 2 hours
You even have to queue to get out!
We complained to a manager who offered free return tickets which would be emailed that night surprise surprise we are still waiting! We asked when was the best quiet time - response Sunday morning when they first open even in term time they have school trips booked it so it s still busy.
Basically a complete waste of time and money and they don t care as just post the same generic reply to every bad post. They can t even deliver on there promise from a manager following an official complaint.
Never again - avoid
Kids love it every time! Down side the price but gets better if you do a group booking
This place is outrageous.
People are herded around like sheep being milked for your money.
If you fancy a day of queuing up constantly with upset kids then this is the place for you. You'd be better off in a free local authority playpark seriously.
And they have a no refunds policy. Do not waste your time effort or money.
Our kids really enjoyed this and getting them to work for their keep was an interesting twist. The activities were well set out and organised and our kids ranging from 5-11 all found plenty to do. There is a nice chill out area for parents only if it all gets a bit intense. Certainly could not do it all in the 4 hours but felt that was appropriate for one visit. Looking forward to coming back.
Awfull wasit of money the gift shop is awful and u can mange to do 0 to 3. Jobs
Great place for kids (7-10 yrs) with diverse options
but high prices and limited time that is not compatible with the long queues
Loved it. Went there for the first time. Very well managed. All the activities are scheduled nicely and the staff are very helpful. Great learning experience for the young ones. Will definitely go again soon.
Poorly staffed, both in quality and quantity. Long queues, mainly due to poor staffing levels. No queue management; we saw a couple of arguments.
I can't think of any justification for parent charge
We went on Friday on a school day. The place is not crowded and all the staffs were lovely and very helpful. The queue is almost non-existant and the kids had wonderful time. My recommendation, as much as possible, please avoid peak time like school holiday.
Had problems booking online. Went to checkout five times trying to complete order. After an hour of trying and the price rising each time, I d hoped I d eventually purchased a ticket and left for the two hour journey there. Took a day off work, put the kids in the car, paid parking and ended up at customer services. Purchase was incomplete and we were told we could not be accommodated as it was full. Two very disappointed children. Complete waste of time and money and now awaiting some form of compensation as their website was unable to process our payment, they failed to answer any calls during my attempted bookings and I just feel at the end of the day they just shrugged it off. They were not interested in what happened, the time wasted and two very disappointed children.
If I get a response from them, I ll post it on here.
Long ques and 4 year old and 2 yer old can not do the same thing at the same time had to wait an hour
If I could give zero stars I would... total rip off. Kids spend majority of time queuing up.
Take your kids here (between 4 and 14), and take a break, plug in, or relax in the adult lounge while the children pick up new skills to help them understand how the adult world works, in a fun environment. A great way to get the children involved in activities like, being a journalist, Firefighter, Hospital doctor, food technician, TV host and so much more.
Fabulous place to take kids. Pricey but totally worth it. They thought of everything. Such a good experience and we will most likely return !
Awful experience, we spent 4 hours there and my son got to do 1 job! Unless your kids love to queue for the fun of it, don't visit!!
The concept is great but some (not all) of the staff are extremely uninspiring, and in one case, rude to the extent that my 8 year old kid was quite upset and wouldn t stop asking me why the lady was so mean to people. Looking at other reviews, it really seems to be an issue, I hope KidZania takes note and does something about this. I watched some staff explain activities to the kids and I really couldn t understand the instructions, let alone my 6 year old. However, there are some activities where the adults are not allowed in, so in some cases the kids really aren t getting that much out of them. Also, some of the activities had aspects that weren t working (eg fire station, Shell service station). Finally, I would advise you, if you re thinking of going, to bring your own snacks (food isn t great) and also to tell your kids not to save up their KidZos as there is no point in saving up for the shop at the end. Much better to prioritise activities where they spend the KidZos. All in all, has a lot of potential but I left feeling like it wasn t good value for money and generally that the staff didn t care about making it a fun experience.
It was awesome i made my own pazzport and my own debit card then i went to kidzania national university and got a diggree wich i was impressed with it was fun
Wow wow a great place that every child should have an opportunity to go. I for a minute wish I was a kid to enjoy this amazing place. The smile on their faces says it all.
My 5 year old son just liked 3 stations. Waiting time is long. Not a good value for money. Everything is like a pretend play or dress up play activity. There is no area for kids to play even a soft play area offers more fun. My son wasn't excited. I don't know think this is a place for active boys.
Brilliant place and such a good idea, teaching my daughter good values as well as having lots of fun. We have been 5 times and now have bought the annual pass. Well worth every penny!
A great place to take a small group of kids - my daughter's 10th birthday with 2 friends. They were wowed upon entrance with the fire engine and ambulance 'whizzing' past to the nearby hotel 'on fire'. We followed and were then accosted by a bunch of very young paramedics in oversized green uniforms to become a patient. My daughter was soon dressed in a leg brace and offered oxygen! There are apparently around 60 activities you can get involved with, some costing Kidzos (kidzania pounds) and others earning you a little, and sometimes a lot. Most jobs earn between 6 and 10 Kidzos which you can either save for the next visit (and even put them in a bank account), or you can spend them in the shop. To be honest, you're only likely to come away with a pencil, stickers and a rubber for the 70 or so Kidzos you're likely to earn, so worth warning your child before they go to avoid disappointment (fortunately I did after reading reviews and my kids were fine). There's a shop the other side with some better 'value' tat which I used as an opportunity to fill a party bag. In the 4 hours we were there, we managed to squeeze in 8 jobs, which I considered lucky as you're only expected to have time to do a maximum of 6. I think this was down to the fact that there was a minimal waiting time (10 mins) for everything and I stayed with them, keeping time to make sure they didn't dither too long. We had a great time and next time I think I'd feel confident enough to leave the three of them to their own devices, (with a watch as its so easy to lose track of time) trusting that they would know their way around and have a better idea of what activities are available.
Very disappointed!!! Waste of our time and Money! Overcrowded and terrible service. Expect to queue for at least an hour for each experience. Why give out a time slot if Kidzania Just fill with more people than they can cope with? Inconsistent staff. Some good, others shouldn t be working in a family attraction.
Avoid at all costs!
They charge adults and kids under 4 who can't do anything. Very boring for parents as they have to wait for the 4+ years kids 20' for them to get in a place and then another 20' they are in. Adults shouldn't be charged and there should be more activities for under 4 as they get bored while they wait for the older siblings.
We had a fantastic time, we went with my 5 and 6 year old and they got much out of the day. We didn't que for anything and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - would defiantly go back
Waste of time and money. Each activity only allows 6 children in at a time and you have to wait on average 20 mins for them to finish before they allow the next 6 kids in. There s also no way of know how long ago an activity has started. A lot of waiting around and queuing which makes the whole experience utterly boring. They need to manage it better by only allowing a certain number of kids into the venue every 2 hours. But they make so much money from it they honestly couldn t care less. Never again!
