Fantastic steep and deep skiing! We stayed at the resort itself, so perfect for ski in/ski out. The apartments are great. A number of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Takeout available too. Friendly staff.

Visited during the spring, convinced by guidebooks. Expensive ($40pp just for the Skilift) but good views if good weather and some nice hiking trails (only 3 were open, no biking trails open). Trails are a little bit marginal in places (snow covered and some very narrow paths with sheer drops). Annoyingly return lift shuts early in evening so much good light wasted during lighter months. Restaurant shuts 1hr earlier (4pm)!

Nothing on the website was written about days and times all activities were open, we did try our luck 3 DAYS (!!!) in a row. First, gondola was closed all day, second, we learned that we needed to arrive in the morning as all the activities close in the afternoon and third, the restaurant is accessible only by placing a reservation the day before, but anyway it was closed that day because of private event.

It s really things they should advertise online or even just tell because we got no infos about anything while speaking to employees each single time we went there. Trying 3 days in a row to finally do some of the things we planned, that s really bad services!

Great mountain with a lot of challenging terrain, but also good for intermediates. Highly recommend it. Personally I liked it better than Revelstoke which is just a couple hours down the road.

Had an awesome experience going up on one of the highest peak in the area riding a Gondola. So even if you don't know how to ski, you still have this, as well as some other activities like snowshoeing, skiing training, coffee and dining.

Very disappointed in this resort (Winston Lodge). Over priced for what your get. Stayed there for a week in August. Housekeeping was non existent! When we got back from our long days of fun, the beds were not made, no garbage taken out, no fresh linens, no coffee and our mugs, wine glasses were not washed and or replaced each day. The bed was broken and the dry wall peeling of the walls. The only thing they had going for them was the location. Will never return. The website also states full breakfast (It was just a Continental breakfast).

What an amazing place. Family friendly and an awesome place for beginners. Top of mountain is exceptional with views and amazing powder all over. Never experienced champagne powder till I went here. The family had so much fun! This is a new tradition for us! We love kicking horse!

Beat the crowds at Louise and Sunshine and ride the Horse ! It would be best if you are a strong intermediate to expert rider as lots of steeps ,untracked powder and peak to valley runs make sure to have access to a hot tub, your legs will thank you

Great place with lots of summer and winter activities. Good for all ages and abilities. Sightseeing and disc golf are more sedentary activities while mountain biking and skiing will suit others better.

Love that it's right on the hill, close to a few bars and restaurants. Ski in is a bit awkward at the back but doable. They have a locked ski equipment room but no individual lockers. Rooms were clean and comfortable!

Favourite ski hill of all the ones I've visited. Definitely a challenging mountain with only a few easier runs, but if you're looking for a challenge the potential is endless. Definitely better on a sunny day when you can see in the chutes, and the view from the top is incredible.

This is among the very best hills in western Canada.... Maybe anywhere. Tons of steep and advanced runs, interesting terrain and a great variety for most skiers. Especially caters to advanced/expert skiers.

I am looking forward to experiencing this ski resort for the first time during Christmas break. I truly hope the experience will be better than that of trying to buy tickets on line and getting information about tickets/accomodations from staff via phone or their seemingly useless website!

My issue is that KH charges full price, comparable to Fernie or Lake Louise, but only has one lift from the bottom; during the week, Pioneer chair doesn't run and Catamount is slow and inadequately staffed (one person to both scan and load). So everyone is funneled into the gondola which, as I write this, I notice is stopped again. Some great terrain with inadequate access, fully priced.

My partner and I went to Kicking Horse to go downhill mountain biking this summer. If you want to go downhill MTB then this is the place to go! We took a 20 minute line-free gondola up to the top of the mountain which led to spectacular views. The runs are REALLY well made and groomed. Runs went from green to double black so there is something for all levels. I will be coming back and recommend this hill for downhill MTB. We also had friendly service at the bike shop where we rented bikes and equipment. The price is a bit steep but I still think it is worth it.

Kicking horse resort was an alright mountain to ski on. I am a beginner skier and found it difficult to find where to ski. The easiest route down is substantially easier than any other green run which I found a bit disheartening. When I did find the family ski zone with it's own separate lift I had a much better time. I had lunch at their cafeteria which I would call adequate. For a small fountain pop it was $4. Overall I had an alright experience at kicking horse. Would be much better suited to those who are experienced skiiers/snowboarders

Great mountain, snow conditions were excellent, good experience and the gondola from bottom all the way to the top is nice. Just don t get half-day tickets as they re disproportionally priced and less than an actual half-day.

Golden and kicking horse are really the under estimated place from the Rockies. The kicking horse resort offers great ski slopes, but also an incredible biking for summer. And please if you visit, go see Boo in the bear refuge. This is not a crappy product for attracting tourists but a true story of rescuing that merits to get seen. Probably the place I will favorise next time in the Rockies because athentik, roots and less crowded that Banff of lake Louise.

Beautiful location just a few minutes away from the town of Golden. Great cafes and restaurants on the resort, and gorgeous scenery all around. Take a trip up the gondola (17 minute ride), the views will be worth it!
