I had a great experience with TRS. If you get your paperwork properly completed and turned in timely you receive your death benefit within about 2-3 weeks. However, if you don't follow the instructions and send in uncompleted documents or use a deposit slip instead of the requested voided check it will take longer.
I have contacted them numerous times over many years, and it is wonderful to always be able to speak with a real person quickly. They are always very helpful.

Its been almost 2 months that i have been trying to get my nanas death benifit from them and its new excuse after new excuse to get them to file paperwork and get the funds deposited in my uncles account. These people are obscene in their slow untimely way they are treatment of my family.
Slow playing office if I've ever seen one. Allegedly mailed out my withdrawal packet back in the middle of January. Still havent received it. And some of the worst people to speak with on the phone. VERY VERY RUDE PEOPLE!
