Had my brakes inspected at Firestone yesterday and...

Had my brakes inspected at Firestone yesterday and they told me the LF caliper had froze and the inner LF brake pad was down to the metal. All of the other pads were fine. They quoted me $131.11 to fix it. Took it to Keyes today because a faulty caliper SHOULD be covered in my bumper to bumper warranty. The car only has 32000 miles on it. Keyes tells me there is nothing wrong with the caliper. That one brake pad just mysteriously wore down all on its on for no apparent reason. They quoted me $717.45 plus tax to fix it and had the audacity to suggest I do a brake fluid exchange for an additional $144.95. I called bull and they had this little boy (Miguel Escobar) try to show me how the caliper is functioning... now. I don't give a flying fig on how its working now. They took it completely off and were probably manipulating it all day. They told me I couldn't have my car back in that condition because it was unsafe... REALLY? So you're going to hold my car hostage and force me to pay you to fix a problem that should be covered by my warranty??? I don't think so! I hate when mechanics try to take advantage of a woman. Don't create problems and try to give me BS excuses. There is no explanation as to why only the inner LF brake pad would wear down on its own and all of the others be fine if the caliper wasn't faulty in some way. Get it together Keyes Chevrolet Service Department! You all should really be better than this! So disgusted and disappointed. You will not be getting my business again!

Horrible customer service I ve been here a few times and every time I m here service seems to just get worse looks like they just play games and not serious about their numbers just a waste of time so I took my business to Longo Toyota in El Monte service there was fabulous they really know how to take care of the customer had a great selection as a buy a car from there day and night from Keyes management to step up their service otherwise I keep losing customers like me

BEWARE. Keyes dealership are forcing customers to have their right fingerprint taken once you decide to purchase a car. Their pathetic attorney KEVIN refused to provide legal documents nor they have this information on display in any of their dealerships, and he further said you can have your attorney call me. not everyone can afford an attorney. This is an unethical attorney and very rude to speak with. My advise to you, SHOP ELSEWHERE. You don't subject yourself to be exposed to more information about you when it is not their business. Since when driver license is not good enough, ESPECIALLY, after they scan and verify the ID (God knows where this information is stored) ....he claimed that they had numerous fraudulent deals. How about one of their own GENERAL MANAGER who got fired for fraudulent deals! Don't obey to the master. There is something wrong with this policy and it is not revealed until the last minute. He still refused to provide me with a copy of such protocol and how a fingerprint will protect me. Something fishy going on with this! What happened to customer service in America? How happened to decency and respect? Or is it all about greed?

Rene Pascual, the car sales representative was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He was able to answer all the questions I asked about the car that I bought. The only thing that I am not very happy about is that it took so long to process all the paperworks. We were there at around 11:45am and before everything was done it was almost 6:30pm although Rene apologized for the delay because he said there was a lot of customers that day but still I believe that it shouldn't take that long to buy a car. This is already my 6th car so I know the average time to buy a car. But all in all it is still a good experience and I would surely recommend Rene to my relatives and friends who are planning to buy a car.

The sales was great! As in all car dealerships, you gotta play tough! I bought my Toyota Prius here back in January and I've been really happy with the car. The sales portion was very smooth and the reps were nice and courteous. There wasn't any hard sell, just a little bit of pressure here and there.

As far as the service goes, it could be a bit better. What's nice is that they only service Toyotas and they're really on top of getting your attention when it comes to regular maintenance. Not only that, but they do all the manufacturer's recall logistics right on the spot. I do like how they give your car a light wash after they're done servicing. The free coffee and fruit is pretty nice too.

My only complaint about the service department and post-sale is that they're really slow. Weekends are really busy, so try to schedule your maintenance on a weekday. I came in for an oil change one time and it took over 2 hours! Aside from the slowness, these guys do an overall good job.

I went in to look at a truck and the salesman who came up to help was very friendly and helped my find one I liked. We took a test drive and when we got back we started talking about pricing then went over to the finance manager. The monthly they were quoting me was hundreds more than the deal I got at another Toyota dealer for the same exact car.

As always customer service is great! this time, our internet sales car rep is Wassim Manaa, he went above and beyond with our request and really easy to deal with. We like his demeanor a lot and this is one of the reasons why I am very eager to do a review for him. He deserves a 6 out of 5 stars. Thank you Mr. Wassim Manaa for making our 2nd car buying experience very pleasant and looking forward to purchase another Toyota from Keyes in the future.

Thanks to Galyna and Abdul for helping me find a good vehicle that suits my budget. I came in during the night to return my lease and was greatly assisted with great customer service. The team worked late night to make sure I was satisfied. I m very happy with my purchase and Clayton is a magnificent leader. He went out his way to make sure my alarm was set up. Hello I am very dissapointed in my experience. I feel was misled by the sales people and the managers at this Toyota- van nuys. As far as I can remember Toyota has always had a good reputation with my family. We had purchased Toyota many times in the past, myself my husband my father my daughter we all drove Toyota for many years. However, this time was different. I told the car dealer that financially I am limited as a single mother. It seemed to me that while they were trying to help me at the time, what I have later found is that the deal I was given of $315 per month is way too much for this car. I went back to the dealer to explain this to them, but they were not friendly and unhelpful- I didn t even get to the test drive. The last manager admitted to this only offered me a free service for the last year of the lease. After hearing my story with Toyota my friends and relatives have told me it was a very unfair deal that I was given- and everyone was so surprised that this dealership has done this to me. I hope that you can consider my condition and help me to resolve this matter with this dealership and appreciate your consideration with this.

worst dealership ever. salesman final the price about the car and he went to run my credit and he came back with the GM saying car is more worth it than its listed. its bullshit and the GM told me he is the boss and he can change the price anytime. they ran my credit for nothing now im going to call better business bureau.
I recommend you stay as far away from this Toyota dealership as you can.

We went looking for a new car to lease and after many hours at different dealers we met Sam over at Van Nuys Keyes Toyota. He patiently took us around the lot to look at few cars, even though we had a very tight budget he managed to find what we liked and he helped us to get the desirable deal that we wanted.

I'd have to say that this was the best experience in buying a truck that I've ever had. I've been buying trucks my whole life for my construction companies and this truck by far exceeds all my expectations and more. The experience with keys was exceptional from the salesman Tony Manikian to Dean who close the deal for me at a more than fair price to Alvaro Cantillo in financing. I would recommend Keyes Toyota to anybody that is looking for new or a pre owned vehicle. Ask for Tony and Dean they'll take care of you!

I love my RAV4 and my service adviser Aaron is wonderful. He always explains what is going to be done during my service appointment. He knows I'm dropping my car and returning to work. Ha always makes sure to put my name of the drop off list and when my car is ready he makes sure I'm picked up in a timely manner. Once Aaron was on vacation and I had my car serviced it was terrible. I told him about my experience the next time I had service he apologized for the bad treatment and long waits. If Aaron's not at work I'm not getting my car serviced. The other service adviser's should really take a lesson from him in customer service and how to smile.

Super awesome service every time, than you guys

Needed back brakes plus Royer re surfacing, paid 300

It was more but they knocked off 50,
A tiny bit higher than normal but it's from Toyota and its all recorded and gives you a another carfax time report.

Overall amazing service
Also enjoyed the coffe and cookies

Tried to buy a brand new car....Sales and Management so did not care to help.....I dunno I think going into a dealer knowing what you want and having the money ready is like a sales dream...As I am in sales too....
Even their own service dept. people agreed they were not helpful...
And other Toyota Dealers have heard that Van Nuys sales are not helpful...
Not very good...
Or is it cause of other reasons? #Salesfail #female?

second vehicle purchase in 18 months. LAST one we will every buy from this dealer.

I purchased my mother a new kia. She took delivery of a BRAND NEW VEHICLE with scratches and clearly this car didnt go to new car prep to get detailed to take delivery. Upon bringing the vehicle home, I noticed that paint had scratches all over the vehicle, the "detail" was a car wash left with dried water spots along with the trim looking stained. I can NOT believe this dealer would let anyone take stock of a vehicle this dirty and scratched.

Upon calling the salesmen and explaining to him, we were told to bring it in and they would take care of it. So my mother drove the vehicle back up there (we live in the SFV so its not exactly down the street) she pointed out there scrathes and stained trim. They kept the vehicle for 2 hours. She gets back home and I look at it and they buffed out half the scratches and STILL did NOT detail the car. in fact they left polishing compound dust in every crevice on the vehicle and didn't even bother to clean the brake dust off the wheels.. They did wash is, and I could tell by all the newer water marks left from a poor drying job.

She was never gone over with the check list of the vehicle, she had NO idea how to work the middle and rear row seats ( its the van ) nothing was explained to her at all about the vehicle and the salesmen didn't even see her take the car off the lot.

I made several calls to a sales manager only to be told "they are in a meeting" and that they "will return my call" which never happened.

So the CSI report gets sent in with less than satisfactory marks and a rep calls my mother and begins to get into her about how he's losing money now because she filled out the CSI poorly and how instead of 1000 he's only going to make 800 etc etc etc.. She even called them to see if a pair of glasses were left there and no call back. I guess its sell you two cars and go piss in the wind.

I have NEVER seen that type of experience held in any dealership I ever worked at (rydell, livingston, community,) with new car prep and sales.

Went in to look at the Highlander. The salesman wasn't very knowledgable and didn't even know how to operate the navigation system in the car. I had to figure it out for him and I've never even used Toyota's nav system before!

After test driving the Highlander, I sat down with the salesman and the first words out of his mouth were, "We have a $3,000 markup on all our vehicles." I told him I thought that was outrageous and got up and left. A few hours later someone called me to apologize and ask what happened. I replayed what happened and he confirmed they do mark up their vehicles and, after I told him I wouldn't buy a car from them because I don't appreciate those tactics, he told me that they "wouldn't sell a car to me anyway." In the words, the guy called me to apologize and ended up insulting me. Unbelievable. If you have any self respect you will steer clear of this dealership.

I had a great experience here, for a first time car buyer everyone was patient and kind and explained everything that needed an explanation. My sales person Palash was very professional and knowledgeable in his field definitely felt like I was in good hands.

Everything I requested he seemed to get it done, the managers were very also very helpful especially working with what worked for me. I do believe that I ended up getting a good deal here and I was well taken care of.

One issue I did experience was that I purchased my car during after hours so l was not extremely happy with the detailing of the car, when Palash was aware of my unhappiness, he allowed me to come in the next day to get more work done on the car to make sure I was satisfied.

Overall this was a great place to buy a car, the facility is very clean, and they re are people constantly cleaning the common areas. The staff is friendly and nice and they do not pressure or rush you into anything, definitely recommend this place to others.

This is my 3rd vehicle I've purchased from Keys.
The finance mgr Alvara was very pleasant tho i still have issues with the vehicle 3 weeks ltr.
He is very helpful. Hope he will fix my windshield and the tint on the window as there are problems with them
Keeping my fingers crossed.
This is an update on the windsheld.
We went half. They said its 480. Pretty high.
Dropped it off Fiday 2/7/2020 and ater 4 hrs i go and get my vehicle and what a Mess! The windsheld has alot of scratches.
I have to take it back again Friday 2/14/2020 for a hopefully a New windshield.
I called the place today and was quoted $340.
Hmmm. Not happy. Safety Glass repair is $319 and they come to your location. Sure i would've gotten a new windshield. Tint didnt get fixed because they were to busy. What?

I greatly appreciated all the time and help Rene Pascual gave me in the leasing process and learning every important detail about operating a new Corolla. I needed all that attention because I Had the same car since I bought a new Corolla 20 years ago. Rene also introduced me to the Keyes service manager and. chief technician for future servicing etc. for the car. In addition Rene s assistance in returning my rental car was much appreciated. He was both thorough and patient with me, which was necessary. Also, I found Rene to be a nice guy who emphasized to call him with any additional questions I might have.
I also spent some time with Clayton, the finance manager. He clearly explained all the financial. Arrangements and convinced me of the need to pay extra for the GAP and excess wear and tear protections. it turned out to be more expensive to lease the car than I wanted but I realized that I had no sensible choice but to pay for those protections.
All in all my Keyes Toyota experience was as good as I could have hoped for.

I am getting ready to give back my lease on a RAV4 and I am so sad to say I will no longer purchase/lease Toyota cars. ESPECIALLY not from Keyes Toyota. My car has had issues from the beginning, have had to replace my front breaks multiple times. Once being within the first 3 months of getting the lease. I'm so upset at my service/treatment from this dealership as well while dealing with these issues. I was already hesitant to switch to the Toyota brand but the great reviews from others regarding how the cars run/last specifically made me want to give them a try. I'm happy the car was a lease so I was not tied to this car. Something is going down hill in Toyota cars, I now have had three different people in my life tell me they are super unhappy with their toyota car, just the way they run and break down so quickly. I will 100% be going back to my trusted brand. Do your research people, I know this is a big car brand but that doesn't mean their cars are consistent.....

The difference in service (or lack of service) between the new car lot to the pre-owned is insane. No one is willing to step up and to help. And once you interrupt their conversations about the weekend or the lady who works in the building next door, they act insulted and beyave rudely. Will never come back for any tyoe of business dealings.

I got my 2015 Camry serviced at this location. More specifically I had an oil change, tire rotation, brake fluid flush, and transmission flush service. After the service I noticed that they broke the housing of the engine air filter. It also looks like they turned on the engine without the oil cap(there's sprinkles of oil over the engine). Also got the transmission serviced and my car is now shifting gears too early.

UPDATE 3/5/20
I scheduled an appointment and returned to the service center. They did an okay job cleaning up their mess but that was all they did. They didn't see the broken part on the air filter housing and didn't detect any anomalies with the transmission or gear shifting. I always do oil changes myself and also replace both air filters (engine and cabin) for these exact reasons. I was really hoping they would exceed my expectations but I'm not satisfied with my service after spending the $900 nor after returning to fix these issues. I won't be coming back to this place with the kind of work ethics this place performs. Let alone for the broken air filter housing part that costs around $100-$120 not including installation.

When we lost our ability to buy, lease, and or purchase the vehicles that we had so easily been able to for the past 26 years. KEYES TOYOTA VAN NUYS HELPED US. JIT. GOOD PEOPLE THAT PUT THEIR CUSTOMERS FIRST.
Those Managers, Salespersons, and yes even the General Manager: helped us get our lease converted into a purchase "JIT" just in time to be able to keep it. You see I after 26 years of having a high paying job was Injured 5 major times. I allowed my employer to convince me to not get representation " an Attorney of my own" but trusted them to as they said be my family. To protect me. They only protected themselves. Once I settled for 9% disability when they told me I was 43% disabled, but as long as I settled for 9% I could keep my job. As soon as I went to court with my employers attorney settling for 9% they stopped paying for my treatment on the 43%. Denied they responsibility of the 32%. Now I'm stuck with out an ability to make an income. My neck and head are now twice as bad as they were when I was injured. My primary insurance will not cover me and my EX-EMPLOYER will not cover me with their Billions of dollars of profit. They with all their $ hired a doctor to say I am not injured even though I'm not able to remember if I ate breakfast or took my medication.
I'm in so much pain that I live in a cave with ear plugs as the light and noise hurt my head.
WHEN WILL THE AS I USED TO BE CALLED MIDDLE CLASS BE TREATED FAIRLY. WE DO THE WORK, WE PAY OUR TAXES, WE BOW DOWN TO THE EMPLOYER. Do not let your employer tell you your family and not get your own UNION AND OWN ATTORNEY IF YOUR INJURED.

they took almost 4 hours to do an oil change, also Johnathan had helped me and took 30 mins just to help me check in and the worst part about all of this is when Johnathan called me 10 mins before closing and told me i only have ten mins to get there to pick up my car because they closed at 5 and he had called me at 4:50. over all worst experience ever. im glad i only have a year and a half with my lease.

It was an exhausting, pressured, disappointing experience. It took us about 7 hours to complete the transaction. First, agent Rene showed us the car and it s feature and let me test drive it. Then the manager Maurice comes and presents a ridiculously high price, way above the MSRP. I state my price and terms, then he said he will talk with the son of the owner to get me a good deal and told us to wait. This back and forth negotiation went on about three times. Then Abdu came and said he will give us an amazing deal after Rene checks our credit but he never came back after my credit was checked. Then Maurice came again and said he is working very hard to help me. When I said if you don t accept my price I am leaving- I said this 5 hours since I came to the dealership. Then they accepted my price. This is the third time this has happened. First, when my husband bought the Camry in 2014, and with my Prius in 2016. I probably will not buy from Keyes Toyota again.

This is probably the Best car dealership I have ever been to! There are no hassling employees, they're not pushing cars on you and hassling you. Very laid back with a ton of cars and trucks except to look at and choose from! This is An absolute completely professional run business and in my opinion an absolutely exceptional experience ! I would definitely recommend this dealership even if you are just browsing for a vehicle it is a pleasant experience and to make things the best they have free cookies and cupcakes and soda.. you can't be that!!
