Used Neil Company to purchase my home. 4 of the contractors hired by them had to return to my home to complete their work or to do work they didn't do and were hired to do. Their plumber missed a broken valve under kitchen sink. I had to pay to have my own plumber to repair the broken valve. Their roofer, Winston Roofing, failed to clean up after their roofing project. I am still finding roofing staples in my lawn and landscape. The owner of Neil Company was aware of these issues and did nothing. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NEIL COMPANY. It should be noted that both the seller's agent and buyer's agent were from Neil Company for my home purchase.

Worst experience ever! Bad customer service and they refuse to give back your deposit until the last day the law allows. Would it hurt to give the deposit back a bit sooner and not wait till the last day? I think this is not only LAZY but bad business practices. Will never rent from this company again.

They don't care about the tenants or their properties. No rental contract enforcement, after people move in they can do anything they want. Sad excuse for a management company. VERY unprofessional.

My mother is currently in search of a new residence and was having trouble filling an application on their online app. We went in together and they offered to help her and allowed her to access the online app on their computer system there. Which was awesome but the guy helping us was even better. Justin was amazing and really helpful and made the whole experience enjoyable to say the least. Thank you!

Unprofessional. They rack up lists and lists of applicants for weeks or months at a time, then charge fees as they just pick them off the list one by one instead of screening applicants as they apply. They withhold deposits for bogus reasons. I challenged them and they refused to answer my questions. Drug out the process until I finally gave up. But they did end up conceding that we didn't owe what they were demanding by about $400. Wish I had fought for the rest of my deposit, but it wasn't worth the aggravation and stress. That's what they count on. I've rented from them twice and both times the properties were not in great condition and it took forever to get repairs, or they didn't at all and said (in the case of our leaking roof in the nursery) they'll just patch it up and repaint each time it leaks. Like it was no big deal. Couldn't wait to get out of their claws. Too bad the housing market is awful here and some people just have no choice. Desperation. Again, its what they count on.

Neil Co. has managed our rental property for more than 20 years. They have always been professional, communicative, timely and approachable. When repairs or replacements needed to be done it was communicated to us. Over the years they have always found responsible tenants. No complaints whatsoever.

I won't do business with them. They rent homes out. And they told my daughter if she find a home for 800 month they can rent to her. She did find a place she called about. I could not believe what she told me. That they told her no and the rent has to be lower.

So far I've had a good experience renting from Century 21. I also like that their website allows me to pay my rent online. I also appreciate that they have a form you can fill out on their website in order to do maintenance requests.

I have actually needed to use their maintenance services three or four times since I've moved here for various small items. I usually get a response Within one to two weeks and and usually they up here to do the repair within one to two days after that. Although one time I did have them call me back the date same day I made the maintenance request.

Century 21 was horrible! I lived in two different apartments in the two years I lived in Roseburg. My first year the walls molded and even after they fixed it another wall began to mold as soon as it rained. My second year a car was parked in my assigned parking spot from November and was never removed until I assume after I moved out in June. Although I called multiple times saying I had no idea who s car it was and it was obviously abandoned as it was super moldy inside and hadn t moved in MONTHS. The front desk workers were so sweet however almost everyone else seemed annoyed when you tried to ask questions or get any type of help. Although I was young I still deserve respect as I am someone paying monthly to live in your establishment however I felt talked down to everytime I called April or talked to her in person. This business owns too much property and is super shady.

Century 21 Neil Co is a horrible (or sadly, typical) property management company. There s a reason only 200-some people like this page in a community of 20,000+!

We moved here from the Portland area this spring. My family and I rented a home in Green. From day one, I let every person I talked to there know that the carpets were in horrible condition and needed to be replaced. But I knew that they would try to say we did excess damage. Because that s how these guys make their money. Literally, if someone spilled water on the carpet, it turned orange. And, I was right. Neil Co charged me for cleaning the carpets, and added an additional charge for excess cleaning.

We found cockroaches shortly after moving in. I called Neil Co, I was told someone would come spray. Nobody ever showed up to spray. Additionally, they charged me another fee for flea treatment for my pets. My pets do not have fleas, they did not have fleas when I lived there, they did not have fleas before I lived there, and they don t have fleas now. So I m not sure why I m getting charged for flea treatment that wasn t necessary when I had cockroaches in my home.

They charged me approximately $300 for filling in holes and repainting. When they specifically ask that you don t fill in holes or touch up paint on the move out checklist. I knew we were only going to be in this home for a few months, I only hung up maybe 8 things with very small nails. How does it cost $300 to putty 8 small holes and dab some paint on it?

The bottom line is, they are saying that my family did $1600 worth of damage to a home in a matter of 6 months. I got my entire deposit back at my last rental, and I got most of it back at my rental before that. I have receipts and rental agreements to prove it. I expect that they would take what was owed to them, but it s so obvious that they scraped up any and every charge they could think of in order to make the most money off of us.

I know that this is pretty par for the course with property management companies. But it s sad for this area because they are the biggest property management company in town, so people have no choice. I m lucky to not have to rent anymore, but I think everyone should enter into agreements with eyes wide open! Your deposit is a donation to NeilCo. Don t expect to get treated fairly by these jerk offs.

This is by far the worst rental company that I have ever had the misfortune to conduct business with. The secretaries working at the office were incredibly rude from the beginning, and I cannot say the experience got any better from there on out. The application process was incredibly long, it took almost a month for them to approve my application and clean the house for it to be ready to move in. They didn't even give me a call to tell me I had been approved! I had to hound the realtors to find out if I had been approved, and then again to get a conclusive move-in date.
I was in a short term rental, so I sent in my 30-day notice within a month or so of moving in. There was no confirmation that they even received it, and I once again had to hound the staff to find out if they were aware of my move out date to ensure they would be prorating my rent and utilities.
After move out, it took them over a month to return my deposit, and they took out a larger than normal amount for "cleaning" even though I had only lived in the house for a month and a half and left it clean. They only returned my deposit after I threatened legal action against them.
All in all, if you have any other choice for rentals in the Roseburg area, please take it. This is a horrible company to deal with and I will never recommend them to anyone.

Seems like a very shady business practice. They will post 3+ year old partial pictures of the rental property and not include any details on the listings. You cant even see the property unless you are first on the waitlist. All they want is for people to apply and pay 40$ fee that they can just keep without providing anything up front, and of course you dont get it refunded even if you dont want the unit after seeing it in person for the first time.
