Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai Review

I booked my room with King's bed but when I checked in the frobt deck staff said because they were full so no more king's bed bedroom. Also, I stay at Kerry Shanghai every month and I requested to have the room near the elevator everytime but the hotel could not arrange that for me almost every time which is very disappointing! The front deck staff's attitude was not friendly and helpful either. I speak English but they speak Mandarin to me every time then I have to ask them to speak English every time!

Experience in the Kerry Hotel was average.
1- Temperature in the room very high. Could net get it below 20 degr. which can be too hot
2- Unfriendly concierge/English of staff is poor overal. Not much is done tonmake you feel welcome (except for 2 staff members who tried their best)
3- Location in lobby is too busy
4- Not much to do in the area & still 30 min out (subway, 2 lines) to centre (e.g. Bund or people square

Was expecting more from a hotel type like this. I will not be returning anymore for business.

Dated facility, but when you walk in it's BEAUTIFUL. Cool mall connection.

If you don't have Chinise phone number they will not allow you to connect to WiFi

For the first time, I worked with Kerry. I had a lot of communication with Marcelo and Zoe in the early stage. I always try my best to support and help us. When the event came into play, it was delayed due to the elevator failure, but after the arrival of the banquet department, I would like to thank Mike, Ken and Will. On the day of the event, Mark and Johnny have been actively cooperating, and the great service has made our event very smooth. I look forward to working together again next year.

Clean and pleasant. Right on the tourist strip and walking distance to the bund.

1) Bad arrangement for airport pick up service.
2) Poor manner of one of your lounge staffs
3) Aircon blew directly onto the head when laying on the bed

I have just one remark:
We booked two rooms and cancelled one room beginning of September, nearby three weeks ago. We were told that we have to pay both rooms. Today, where people working in the automotive world it is important to be flexibel and have to change priorities in some cases, I can`t understand that action and decesion from the hotel completely.
This is why I didn`t give better rate.

The facilities inside the hotel is good (especially the 24hr gym and the bed). The variety of food buffet during breakfast and lunch is good as well.

Julia at the reception is very helpful (around 2:30pm on 27th Nov), she managed my needs very well.

One of the best hotels you can stay at while you're in Shanghai is the Kerry hotel especially if you're planning on watching the exhibits.

The room is well designed and very comfortable. But communication is a problem, as most of the staff can only communicate in Mandarin.

I travel to to the Shanghai region very often and have stayed at several hotels prior but the Kerry is by far the best option and my 1st choice when booking my stays.

The environment is very good, the street is Century Park.
The entire hotel is very cordial and courteous from reception to housekeeping.
And the service staff on the third floor remembered that we had been there last year.
The gym on the fourth floor is 24 hours, which is very helpful for adjusting the time difference.

Everything was good except for our last day when we have a 8.30am train leaving Shanghai and we requested to access for breakfast before 6.30am and was rejected. We understand the buffet spread may not be fully equipped and ready and all we need was toast and coffee/tea. We do hope the hotel exercise some flexibility to accommodate guests request if within reasonable means.

Conveniently located with easy access to shopping and dining places, as well as the metro (Line 7).

Good hotel with clean rooms, good but superexpensive breakfast. Internet is totally crippled which doesn't happen in all hotels. They could have done a much better job telling the cab driver where to go (dropped me off at the totally wrong location).

The water quality of the swimming is not as good as before. The message pool beside the swimming pool is very good but disappointed to know it has been and will be closed.

It s wonderful place to stay for shanghai new exhibitions center

The best food and dining room in this hotel is the best for your exhibition.

Located in the corner of the inner ring of Pudong, the hotel is quiet, the company's agreement hotel.

The playground in the hotel is very pleasant, the children have a good time, the breakfast is rich and high quality, the hotel shops around the hotel have everything, very convenient! But the executive room does not have much advantage over the parent-child room.

Awesome upper class hotel in Shanghai. Great views and facilities. Wonderful to arrange weeding function also.

It is a 5 star hotel and convenient for shopping mall

1. The use of carpet instead of tiles in the room leads to stains and cleanliness is not as good as imagined.
2. There is no mechanism for breakfast or meal to indicate whether the meal has been used up, so that the original seat has been cleared and transferred to the next customer when the meal has not been used.
3. The type of breakfast is not as rich as other five-star hotels.

Our company has set a total of more than 10 rooms, and also booked the presidential suite, the mid-way sales manager to change, the overall arrangement is very chaotic. I feel that the internal management of your company is chaotic, the process is not clear, and the professional quality of the reception staff is not enough. As an old customer of the Kerry Center, I feel very disappointed with this experience.

Expensive but one of the best hotel in Shanghai located adjoining to Shanghai New International Expo Center.

The hotel was immaculate, the staff was professional and the food was exceptional. We had a wonderful stay at the Kerry.

The Kerry Hotel is a beautiful hotel located in a beautiful area of Pudong, Shanghai. It has world class comfort and facilities, as is to be expected of a hotel in the Shangri La Golden Circle family of hotels. The facilities are fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful. The on site dining is a class above the rest and the hotel bar (The BREW) has some fantastic drinks and live entertainment every night.

The room was very comfortable and the staff was very good. After check-out, I found that the card was left in the room. The hotel helped me to pick it up and waited for me to get back to the hotel. The fitness room is superb but has no time to enjoy.

Overall very positive experience ; the Food & Beverage facilities are very good and also the SPA service ; the Gym is very professional and well equipped . The position very close to the exhibition centre is a plus for my staying .

Hotel is clean and gorgeous. The restaurants are great and the breakfast they serve is one of the best. The micro brewery next to the hotel serves pretty good ales

For breakfast, they have counter/kitchen for region India - Indian food, but no chef available in morning, so if any Indian customer - looking for Indian food. sorry no - luck.
Also for most of Vegetarian item they add Eggs, and specially for Indian people who follows Vegetarian diet - Eggs/fish doesn't come in that. I hope management will find some Indian chef for morning breakfast, and in menu more food without Egg option.
Rest all is good.

There are a lot of people on weekends. I hope to strengthen the management of the swimming pool, children's playground, and gym. There are too many people. . .

It serves good for people who VISITS for exhibitions at SNIEC...
Transportation from here is good...

Great hotel, with very amazing gym and other facility.

Good hotel, very convenient when attending an event at SIEC. Very nice and fairly spacious rooms, good & free WiFi . The gym is amazing - huge with large selection of high-quality equipment. Breakfast is unfortunately slightly below par for a 5-star hotel: Limited selection of jams and cold cuts, small selection of dumplings. Egg station is ok.

Very good Hotel to stay in. They have Brewery inside. The bed is quite good. It is right on the main road. They a super gym and swimming pool. They have variety of food options, right from Indian to Continental, Western, etc.. There is a shopping mall besides for all branded stuff. They have very good options in the mall as well. One such I found was Buddisht restaurant. They serve vegan and no onion & garlic restaurant.

It is not a place to stay. There is a variety of food in the hotel's underground food court.

Excellent location with walking distance from metro station. Excellent facilities at Gym room and swimming pool. Nice and helpful staff at front desk and concierge. Very pleasant stay during the CNY holidays.

The front desk, executive lounge, and clean aunts are very polite and courteous. However, this time I stayed in a luxury executive room, and I was a member of the Golden Circle Jadeite. The concierge at the other end of the lobby was very unconcerned to me. On the day of the check-in on 08/02, I was looking forward to standing at the concierge counter. A gentleman in a black suit jacket assisted him, but he looked like a mistake, but he was better than the front desk. Can he not help me? In addition, on the night of 08/03, I was told to take a takeaway and told another gentleman wearing a black suit jacket in the Concierge. I was going to post something and wait for it to take it. The gentleman actually had a stinky face. On the afternoon of 08/04, when I checked out, I saw the same stinky face on the night of 08/03. I was laughing and checking out for a blonde foreign lady. Is it true that my black hair and yellow skin are worth being stinky?

From check-in to check-out, they were not received by the Concierge, which was very bad.
