Legacy House of Bountiful Review

I ve worked at Legacy house for about a year, and I ve loved every second of it. The residents are a joy, coworkers are great, and management even better. Everyone s willing to work with you, and help out to the best of abilities. Love Legacy House!!!

Legacy House of Bountiful is the absolute best! They care so much about their residents as well as their staff. They are one of the best companies to work for. The residents constantly have different activities to participate in and seem to have the very best time. I would recommend this place to every elderly person I know.

I have worked for many assistant livings and rehabs this is by far the nicest and cleanest and nicest staff I have ever came in contact with . If I where to place any of my parents it would be Legacy for sure .

Gee, where do I start? My dad is 95 and lived at Legacy for five years before being lured into moving to a brand new facility built in Bountiful. "All that glitters is not gold." He was at the new place this last year and although it was beautiful there, the management was off-ish, most of the staff still didn't know his name after nearly a year. Any time we needed something for my dad they didn't seem real interested in helping him. (I kind of got the feeling they didn't like old people...!)

I called Liz at Legacy to see if he could come back.. They have welcomed my dad "home" like a conquering hero! Sometimes you have to eat some grass on the other side of the fence to see how good you have it with the grass you have. From David to Liz to the "activity girls" to Callie to Shelly the chef to... well... EVERYONE! Jerry and Nick in "Maintenance" are about as good as they come. They have just gone overboard in their cheerful assistance to move him back in. They even came to the facility he was leaving and took the TV off the wall mount; then installed it in his room at Legacy before we were unpacked!

I hate to ramble, but it's hard when you want to single out every employee! When everyone asked where my dad was going, he said "well, I'm going back home" (meaning Legacy). One other note: Jerry and Nick came to his room in the new facility on Veteran's Day and gave him a beautiful 5 x7 plaque that they had given to all of their veterans. (CJ Peay was talking about the great parties they throw- if you're a veteran, trust me, they will treat you like a Medal of Honor recipient!) The new facility? They gave him a pen with a flag on it...

By the time my dad left the other facility, he had given up even going to bingo. Except for three meals in the dining room, and walking his Pug every day, he was watching TV westerns 16 hours/day. His first day at Legacy he had: exercise at 9:15, non-denominational church Bible class at 10:00, podiatrist there at 1:30 and a pie party at 3! And if they know he goes to exercise every day, and he doesn't come, they call his room to make sure he didn't forget or is not feeling well. The things other facilities do as "extras" are just part of their normal care at Legacy.

So you can live a beautiful facility where you're treated like a renter, or you can go to Legacy where they also have beautiful surroundings AND everyone knows your name... If you want your loved ones to be treated like they're being cared for by family, you come to Legacy.

My mom was there for 10 months before her passing. She was a little sad to lose her freedom from living in her own house. She was falling frequently and needed extra help. The thing that really made her want to try living at Legacy House was the fact that she could take her cat with her. The staff was very friendly. They work hard to get to know the people who live there. She had a stroke and was afraid that people wouldn't want to take to time to understand her speech. They did well. As you look to senior living you need to remember you get what you pay for. As a family we appreciated the care that was given to our Madre.

The moment my sister and I walked into Legacy House of Bountiful we knew that this was the place for our parents. It felt like HOME.

We toured other assisted living facilities in the Bountiful area, but none of the others compared to the feeling that we felt at Legacy and were not the right fit for our parents . I love the small cozy, family feeling that resides there. Easy access for our aging parents to walk down the hall to the activities, dining room and church meetings without having to leave the building. The aids and med techs are kind and loving and really care about our parents. I just love when I witness one of them hugging my mom, just because! The administration listens when we have concerns and makes the proper adjustments as needed. We work together as a team to ensure the best possible quality of life for our parents.

The staff knows each resident by name. You are not just a resident. You are valued member or the community. You are treated with respect. Every staff member and resident has helped our parents to transition from their home of 55 years to their new home at Legacy!

P.S. They throw the BEST PARTIES for residents, family and friends!

I work for a Home Health and Hospice company which allows me to visit Legacy House on a weekly basis. I love seeing their tender care and hands on approach. These are genuine individuals who provide the highest care to your loved one. I have witnessed their Administrator Colton and their Director of Nursing Jessica make efforts for each individuals needs. When touring you will find Deanna warm and available to answer all of your questions. The facility is located in the heart of Bountiful and right off of the darling main street making outings easy and fun. I wouldn t hesitate recommending Legacy to a loved one.

Assisted living that feels like home with great staff and amazing services!

I cook for Legacy and I can tell you that the personal touch philosophy is our main goal. The entire staff and residents at this facility feels like a big family.
I would recommend it to anyone!

I worked at legacy for a pretty long time. It is DEFINITELY not an assisted living. It Was more of a skilled nursing facility. Everyone I worked with, besides a couple people, were always always always rude. They give you rude looks and don t treat you how normal people should. If I could use one word to describe legacy house in bountiful, it would be dump. Legacy is a dump and they don t care whether or not a resident is paging for 10 minutes. They just sit in the aide room (which is also a dump and there s always spills everywhere). Everything is too hard and they keep allowing people to live there they need 2 person assist when that isn t allowed in assisted livings. So, if you re thinking of applying there, don t!!! It is awful. Sorry I m just being honest! Good luck Legacy!!

My parents moved into Legacy of Bountiful last summer and we have had a very positive experience. The staff are so kind and supportive. My parents now feel safe and I know that they re needs are being met. Thank you! You guys are the best.

Assisted living can be a hard transition for people, but Legacy House of Bountiful will make the transition easier. Great staff who love their residents!

Great people work and live here! I ve lived for a little over two years. I ve had a great experience. The staff makes me feel very welcome and cared for!

I have worked for Legacy House of Bountiful for 3+ years now and absolutely love it! Our residents are active and involved with many of the activities, the environment feels like home, and the care staff truly cares about the residents. Working here is very rewarding and I look forward to coming every day.

I have had the opportunity to be employed by Legacy House for over 7 years, and I have to say my experience has far surpassed my expectations. They have the nicest, most caring staff I have ever seen. The building is wonderful and provides that home style feeling. If you need this kind of service I would look at Legacy House first. You will be amazed at the personal care and attention that they provide. Nice to know there are people out there that honestly care about the people they are taking care of.

This is truly the best place to work or live! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure each resident has their personal needs met. Legacy also has an activities committee that gives the residents things to do and look forward to. There is such a community of love here at legacy between both the staff and the residents! There is always a smile here at legacy house because this is the best of the best!

This is the tops of care facility! They have such great activities and help. They have great entertainment come in. Also, The med techs, CNAs, and managers treat us all so well.

My grandma lived here for a couple years she loved playing bingo and hang out with her friends that she made she loved it here

LEGACY HOUSE OF BOUNTIFUL HAS EMPLOYED ME FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS. I HAVE HAD OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK ELSEWHERE, AND HAVE HAD OTHER OFFERS BUT, I STAY BECAUSE MY HEART IS HERE. IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL COMPANY TO WORK FOR, AND THEY HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ME DURING SOME DIFFICULT TIMES. I COULDN'T IMAGINE BEING ANYWHERE ELSE. THE PERSONAL TOUCH PROVIDED HERE IS NOT JUST TO OUR SWEET RESIDENTS BUT, TO STAFF AS WELL. MANAGEMENT IS AMAZING, AND ALWAYS LISTENS. LEGACY IS MORE THAN JUST AN ASSISTED LIVING, IT IS MY HOME.

This place is great because it feels like home! The managers here are awesome! I have a lot of great friends here!

This is one of the nicest places anyone could be when they need care. All the residents receive wonderful care. We checked it out before we came here. We decided it s the nicest place we could be.

I worked here for almost two years and loved every moment there. The staff is great and loving towards the residents and each other. I would definitely recommend someone to live here and to work here. It's one big happy family!

Friendly staff, clean, menus with several food options at every meal. Lots of fun activities and outings for the residents as well as community activities that families are invited to throughout the year. Couldn't ask for a better place for your loved one.

I have been going to Legacy House Bountiful for a couple of years now as a hospice nurse. The staff is so friendly, and it has been a positive experience each time I go there. The care and kindness the staff show each resident and visitor is truly amazing!

I lived here for seven and a half years, although there were some ups and downs, I loved it. The staff were terrific, and we're pretty easy to get along with! I loved the activities, the exercises helped me a lot! I loved all the big activities outside, the shopping, the trips we took to site see, the picnics, the nature trips, the trips to the temple and our church services. Our branch Relief Society and Priesthood Leaders were top notch! I couldn't have asked for better! I felt part of a family! I loved everyone and I felt they loved me back! I moved to be closer to my daughter who lives in Clearfield now. But I keep coming back to see and talk to everyone and miss everyone so much! If you are looking for a place to live or a place to put your loved one, this is it! The staff and residents try so hard to make everyone feel at home and special!

I have worked for Legacy house of Bountiful for two years and
its a wonderful place to be. In the last years of my Grandmothers life the staff in the Cottage were so awesome and took really good care of her and my family really appreciated all who loved her as much as we did. I would recommend this place to all who wish to have their loved ones well taken care of and loved. All of us (whole staff is friendly and we are all family).

We have our mother at Legacy House of Bountiful and have been very happy with the way they treat her with kindness, and love. She considers Legacy her home and would not be happy if we moved her from Legacy. It is the cleanest place we have been to. Their activities are educational and more importantly they are fun. We recommend Legacy to all of our friends.

My Mother is a resident of Legacy House in Bountiful and her daughter (my sister) just passed away. My Mother has had several vertebra fractures and is in a wheelchair. Because of the risk of further fractures, we as a family have not dared to transport her anywhere. Because the funeral will be on a Saturday, the Legacy House transport van is not available, and so two of the loving and caring staff at Legacy House immediately volunteered to give up their Saturday to transport her to the funeral and then the cemetery, without even being paid. We are overwhelmed with their kindness and goodness to us! Our Mother has been at Legacy House of Bountiful for over two years and we know that their concern and love for our Mother is genuine and real. They have done a simply exceptional job of taking care of our Mother in every way. We have only great praise for them and they have our highest recommendation!
