Pleasant little amusement park. Features many traditional rides as it's cornerstones, with a slight nod to newer conventions. Great for families, especially on week days.

Classic Kennywood never looses its nostalgic lure. Unfortunately they had quite a few of the souvenir and food vendor shops closed..and it was nothing to do with COVID as at least half of them were open. Would have enjoyed more of a variety for sure, but none-the-less, I always enjoy the carnival atmosphere here even after 50 years.

It's a very decent amusement park. Some really fun thrill rides (Phantoms Revenge, Jack Rabbit, Exterminator, etc ). Fun enjoyable food from the counter service locations. But it is a smaller park, about a half day outing.
I just wish that the company took more pride in their park. Everytime I go I see more stuff that is faded, in disrepair, or just left to rot (most of the animatronics in Exterminator for example).
I enjoy Kennywood, but unless I get a deal on tickets, the price is a little ridiculous. A "season pass" is the same price as other amusement parks that can be and are open year round. This park is only open about 3 or so months a year, and the season pass only gets a DISCOUNT for the Halloween Phantom Fright Nights, not free entry.

The charm and Pittsburgh class of Kennywood I feel is what's keeping this park a float. Otherwise it's overly priced, long lines that provide no shade and the workers are not only scarce but also happen to be mostly kids who don't know how to properly give good customer service for the money that Kennywood is asking for.

Great time. Easy to get around, clean, friendly staff. Food was great but prices are getting a bit high basically $10 for a suvneir cup $.99 refill, $7 popcorn $3 refill. But the kids love all the coasters and other thrill rides. Hope they continue to expand and use the river bank for more excitement. Parking is great the kids perfer the top of the hill and have the sky lift as their first ride although it isn't always running. For the price need more rides running and open later during summer.

Almost every ride was shut down on our visit, they said they were under staffed but all I seen was a bunch of people standing around. Lines were super long like an hr or longer to wait because of all the rides being shut. Then we were going to check out the candy store and conveniently it was closed too. Garbage beside the garbage can! This visit sucked!

Went to kennywood yesterday, I've been going here ...
Went to kennywood yesterday, I've been going here for years. The park has a big problem with having the wrong prices up. Online, the ticket price was 46, you could get the tickets from giant eagle for about 10 dollars cheaper, but since it was a Saturday in July, we would have had to pay extra and the savings would have been 3 dollars. We get to the park and the prices posted were 50 dollars. Cotton candy was posted at 3.74 but was charged 4. Was looking at the charges on my credit card and wondered where else I was overcharged.
Other than about 4 pleasant and fun staff members I encountered, the staff looks like they hate their lives. Besides the lemonade stand, none of the food employees made it seem like it was in their job description to get anything done. I understand that the crowds never stop for them, but maybe if they were at least a bit nice to the customers, their day would go faster.
As a 20 year old with whiplash from years ago, I feel like there arent many good coasters to ride here. I always ride the wooden rides, and they've always hurt me but yesterday felt the worst. Not sure if it's a personal problem or if the rides are just getting worse. The only rides that dont hurt me are the phantom and the sky rocket, but the sky rocket was closed due to cheerleading? I dont understand why it needed to be closed for that.
The line for the jackrabbit was absolutely ridiculous. It was the slowest moving line that we had experienced. The other wooden coaster lines had problems with families who couldnt remember their own children, so they told them to skip up through the line to get to them. I cant tell a child that they cant be with their family and the parents are pathetic for doing that to their children. I've had multiple people push me over to rush to their friends. I know that it's hard to control things like that but the park really needs to do something about it. People smoking while waiting for rides is an issue also.
Speaking of people being a nuisance, nobody has any personal space in this park. If you're sitting, people will walk past you and brush into you, if you're walking, people will walk into you or try to run you over with surprisingly fast scooters, and if youre standing in line next to children, just expect them to use your ass as a pillow. I know it's not the parks problem but if you cant deal with people being close and touching you, it might not be the place for you.
The park isnt the cleanest, and the bathrooms are a little slice of hell, but it is still a fun place to visit. It definaitely has some issues to work on, but with it being the only close park, I have to keep a positive attitude about it.

It was a fun day but we were a little disappointed that the Thomas area wasn't set up yet. The BBQ and beer garden area was nice and good food. We usually eat at Jonny Rockets as well since the dining restaurant is lacking and the other fried food locations aren't that great. It would be nice to see some healthier and tastier dining options around the park.

I never liked the park years ago and was there for mothers day and realized i still don't like it. I feel the price for this park is high. There maintenance is slow .With having all winter to repair and repaint the park still looks weathered.

Prices are way way way to high for this Lil ass park you stand in line for hours and it's only a 35 sec ride on most like every other park however it will cost you your whole paycheck to get in and play a few games and get some potatoe patch fries I'd rather go to fairs through out the summer just me

Great Christmas light and train display. Save your money and AVOID JOHNNY ROCKETS. It's way over priced for the quality of food. Spend your money at the Potato Patch or the other Kennywood standards that are open. Great petting zoo for kids of all ages.

If you like wooden roller coasters, Kennywood is the place to go. The Thunderbolt and the Jackrabbit are two of my favorites but the Steel Phantom and Skyrocket show Kennywood's modern side. Lots of games and food options make a day at Kennywood a wonderful experience.

Amazing rides. I've had loads of fun each time ice gone there. The food, though, is a little pricy. The portions are small, and the prices are high. If you go there, I suggest packing your own food. Otherwise, it's an amazing place for all ages!

Great family oriented park, not like the big guys ...
Great family oriented park, not like the big guys just a great time. The do all the same things, halloween event, beers and barbecues, and even a winter festival of lights. All this at half the cost of the big guys. Keep in mind though if you are looking for biggest, fastest, and downright overpriced they may not be for you. However if you are looking for a good time on some fun older style coasters then it I'd for you. Their new coaster steel curtain is a fun ride all be it a Steelers themed ride (we are from cleveland). Hope you enjoy.

Our family loves going to Kennywood. We have been season pass holders for a few years now. We love that they have a kiddie land for our 4 year old. It's nice to have all the smaller rides in one area. Kiddie land also sits right next to the shaded picnic areas. Several of the rides in kiddie land be used by adults or older children as well. There are plenty of dining options available so you can please everyone in the family. You can also pack your own lunch in a cooler and leave it in the picnic area until lunch time. Another plus is our 4 year old is also able to ride many of the bigger rides as long as he is accompanied by a responsible adult. This allows the whole family to participate together in many different thrill levels.

Best roller coasters in the country. The coaster tour pass is worth it on weekends, but he aware you can only go on a each coaster during a certain hour of the day using the pass, so you're looking at a seven hour investment to use the pass at all coasters. I'd prefer they let you rider them whenever you want since you're spending extra for the pass.

Place has gone down hill, it s a tradition for our family to go to Italian day every year so I been going here for a very long time. Place is dirty , trash on the grounds. What food places that are open , the food is just terrible. They are understaffed. Workers all seem miserable, which usually comes from working for a company that mistreats them. When the old owners ran the place , everything was opened, there was people with brooms every where cleaning up. The place was just ran well by the original owners. This place reminds me of what happened to century 3 mall. Just slowly went down hill and I can see this happening here

What more is there to say about this place than it's an absolute blast? Kennywood's got a little something for everybody. Whether you're a thrill rider, arcade game junkie, roller coaster enthusiast, or just looking for an escape from life, I cannot recommend Kennywood enough. Also, if you can, stay late here and experience their hugely enjoyable laser show by the lagoon!
