Kandis347 Review of Kennywood Park

Went to kennywood yesterday, I've been going here for years. The park has a big problem with having the wrong prices up. Online, the ticket price was 46, you could get the tickets from giant eagle for about 10 dollars cheaper, but since it was a Saturday in July, we would have had to pay extra and the savings would have been 3 dollars. We get to the park and the prices posted were 50 dollars. Cotton candy was posted at 3.74 but was charged 4. Was looking at the charges on my credit card and wondered where else I was overcharged.
Other than about 4 pleasant and fun staff members I encountered, the staff looks like they hate their lives. Besides the lemonade stand, none of the food employees made it seem like it was in their job description to get anything done. I understand that the crowds never stop for them, but maybe if they were at least a bit nice to the customers, their day would go faster.
As a 20 year old with whiplash from years ago, I feel like there arent many good coasters to ride here. I always ride the wooden rides, and they've always hurt me but yesterday felt the worst. Not sure if it's a personal problem or if the rides are just getting worse. The only rides that dont hurt me are the phantom and the sky rocket, but the sky rocket was closed due to cheerleading? I dont understand why it needed to be closed for that.
The line for the jackrabbit was absolutely ridiculous. It was the slowest moving line that we had experienced. The other wooden coaster lines had problems with families who couldnt remember their own children, so they told them to skip up through the line to get to them. I cant tell a child that they cant be with their family and the parents are pathetic for doing that to their children. I've had multiple people push me over to rush to their friends. I know that it's hard to control things like that but the park really needs to do something about it. People smoking while waiting for rides is an issue also.
Speaking of people being a nuisance, nobody has any personal space in this park. If you're sitting, people will walk past you and brush into you, if you're walking, people will walk into you or try to run you over with surprisingly fast scooters, and if youre standing in line next to children, just expect them to use your ass as a pillow. I know it's not the parks problem but if you cant deal with people being close and touching you, it might not be the place for you.
The park isnt the cleanest, and the bathrooms are a little slice of hell, but it is still a fun place to visit. It definaitely has some issues to work on, but with it being the only close park, I have to keep a positive attitude about it.
