My wife and I had discounted tickets, so we decided to take a day and go out to the park. This amusement park packs quite a bit of unique history alongside the rides. This was my first time at the park, and while it may not be a Cedar Point, or Six Flags, it's an enjoyable day out.

I wouldn't pay full price to go here, but if we end up with some more discounted tickets, I'm sure we would venture back out.

50% of the rides weren't on. 75% of the staff was missing. 100% was too expensive for the park to be less than 95% functional! My daughter enjoyed her time there because she is 4... but she noticed she couldn't ride her favorite rides in kiddy land... that and the hour long wait to get on the 5 out of 12 rides that did work. The staff that was there seemed miserable and some were rude and uptight. It just felt like a scene from a terrible tabloid about sweat shop slave workers and the terrible experience they try to paint gold and call it acceptable. For 120 years, they sure are showing their age.. and not in an 'improved and better than ever' way.

Kennywood used to be my favorite amusement park. It just seems like everytime that I go now since new ownership two or three of the major rides is not open. They should discount tickets if this is going to continue to happen.

Great amusement park near Pittsburgh, which is perfect for anyone. Excellent roller coasters! The Phantom Revenge is really fast and tall and the Thunderbolt is a blast! It's an old, wooden coaster that never disappoints.
Great Kiddieland, toi.

Kids had a blast here even though we had to wear masks the entire time. Oddly enough, it was relatively bearable despite the 80 degree temps. Kiddieland was nearly fully functional with a majority of the rides open. The food stand inside there was closed down though. Overall it was well worth the trip. We managed to take advantage of a 50% off deal, so it was almost a no brainer for our first family visit. We will definitely visit again once this pandemic subsides.

Not like it was years ago or maybe even last year. New ride the steel curtain shouldn't be installed until 2020 but they sold all that advertisement for being open this year and sold cups with the ride on it. So it's closed forever this year no idea when it will be open. Beyond that the lines are long for food and really long and people are slow. They don't have a wait time for rides anymore so make your own guesses. Oh yeah they have fights a few times a year now there not sure if they can do more besides have more security for that issue.

My family and I had our first visit to Kennywood this past weekend. We will definitely be back next year!
It's an old amusement park, but it very well maintained (bathrooms were always clean) & the staff were friendly. They answered any questions we had & were very polite. You will have lines and waiting for a ride but, that's to be expected going to any amusement park. Prices were reasonable for what you are experiencing, we did go knowing we'd spend a bit of money for the whole day. The fun we had and the memories made, make it worth it!

We got season passes for our family, and go there 8:00-9:45 in the summer evenings about 3x/week. The crowds are gone by that time, and we have unfettered, repeated access to most rides. We're practically on a first name basis with the ride operators!

Always enjoy a trip to Kennywood park. Awesome coasters and rides. Nice wooded setting. The wait for rides wasn't to bad. The staff could use much improvement and be more attentive to their job's.

Several members of the staff at various food booths were rude to us. Kennywood seems to have gone downhill over the past several years. There were also several unruly groups of kids pushing and shoving. The prices keep going up and the quality if service and the atmosphere are going down.

The water rides were all closed down yet the tickets still cost the same. Nowhere on the website did they advertise all the rides that were going to be shut down. The sky rocket roller coaster was also shut down all day. I feel that there should have been a reduction in prices.

Ive gone here since i was 9 and it wont knock socks off like Cedar Point, the rides are a bit more old fashioned- its a family place. They have fun stuff to do in october and winter but their main game is over the summer, they have alot of theme days where you may get into a discount. You'll want one, tickets are steep for what the park offers. Cedar Point prices for half the rides. The Black Widow is fun but the lines may kill your buzz. Food is decent, but staff can seem overwhelmed. Dont know if that is understaffing or bad cooperation among them. But, fright night is fun, they make it pretty for christmas, and they have a kiddy land for the toddlers. I like it.

Kennywood is the only park where I have not had one negative experience at. Their prices are fair and their rides definitely give you your money's worth. Of course food at places like these are a bit on the pricey side but it is definitely good food.

This place is great! Although, sometimes their best rides are down. And if they get a storm warning, the will wait until they actually see something until they call off the rides. But one great thing is the laser light show + fireworks, it s beautiful!

Went out Sunday at noon it was raining a little bit and they decided to close the park at 3 p.m. and at 3 p.m. the rain stopped and it was the most beautiful evening the city has had in a long time this park has long been mismanaged, any other amusement park I've been too when the hours are set they're open from the time they announced that they're opening until they're set Closing Time who closes in the amusement park at 3 in the afternoon?

Drove 5hrs spent $300 all together in the park not including trip costs. We ended up with burnt and nasty pizza and a new ride that has already broken down try explaining to a 3yr old little girl her idol thomas the train is broke and she won't be able to ride him but some cool staff members can pose and get pictures and act cool. customer service is pointless and heartless unless you wanna wait a week for a response. I really suggest going to Hershey park.

I went there this past Sunday and it was the most enjoyable time that I have ever had. They are so on point on this covid-19 and I was so impressed. I felt more safe at Kennywood than I do at Giant Eagle or Walmart. The staff was super in the bathrooms were super clean also they cleaned each ride every half hour with santizer. Kudos Kennywood forgiving us a great day. I will be going back because I am season pass holder

Kiddie land is always great with kids because there are basically never any lines! But when Kennywood has half the park and food places "shut down" it causes a weight upon everyone just wanting to get their money's worth.

Great amusement park noted for its great assortment of modern and classic wood coasters. Multiple wood coasters are always found on the top wood roller coaster lists . Noah's Arc was renovated a few years ago and gives you a taste of historical amusement park entertainment

I cannot bring myself to give more than 1 star after my visit today. I have been going to this park for 18 years now and it has only gotten worse over the past few years. The new ownership is obviously about the money.

We arrived around 1 only to find all free parking full, so I had to drive to dollar general to get cash back to pay for parking because only cash is accepted. Then, even after paying for parking, had to drive to the other end of the lot away from the entrance because it was almost full, even though there were numerous roped off lots that were completely empty.

The rides are all in need of major touching up, tlc in general. Fading, cracking paint, broken or missing light fixtures, just to name a few. The tables for eating near the potato patch have a heavy, thick blackish grease coating them. The mens bathrooms floors are soaked with some unknown liquid. The buildings look decrepit and in a state of heavy disrepair. The kandy kaleidoscopes selection of candies is sad compared to what it used to be. Most shelves are half empty or just a few things spread out in it to make it look full.

They have taken so many classic rides and replaced them with the worst, obviously cheapest, rides they could find. Garfields nightmare, sky rocket, black widow, ghost wood estate, and now Thomas town. Its not looking like its going to end either with another new ride coming yet again next year.

Most rides are not child friendly, outside of kiddieland. My son, 5, was able to ride the racers 2 years ago. Now this year he's too short. So either someone was not doing their job last time or they have raised the height requirement.

This is just a short list of what I experienced. So at $105 for three tickets, (that's discounted from buying them at giant eagle and they're still that expensive) its not worth it. Ill give it one more shot. If it doesn't change I'm sad to say ill have to end my relationship of many years.

I personally dislike thrill rides. Lol, they terrify me. I went with two others that love them and they took pity on me and rode and some of the less heart stopping rides. We all had a blast. Food is pricey, but if u search there were specials. I can't claim to have conquered the Black Widow , but if you go and u like thrilling rides this is for you, I watched grown men refusing to get in with their wives and children while I waited in my friends to ride it twice...its not a ride for the light if heart. I loved the water rides. And the 4d theater was free and awesome, AND air conditioned. Staff was good. Its a bunch of kids with summer jobs running the rides, I saw some complaints about staff on some other reviews, lol, I vaguely rem being 18, u can only smile so long when dealing w the public. They did the best they could, respectful and very safety oriented it seemed. Thank you Kennywood.

We went on a Friday night. About a week and a half ago. There's one area between the Aero 360 and the Racers that is closed off so you have to hike back through the park but it's not a huge deal I just didn't know that was happening haha!! We have passes so we'll be back of course and I'll try to update this review for the 2019 season as we stop by.

Family friendly. Easy to get around and rides were mostly operating and fun. Only criticism was that it didn't seem very clean or tidy (in it's defense, there is a lot of construction taking place).

Great family fun. Relatively inexpensive compared to other theme parks. Bonus if you are a veteran on 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc... Veteran is free, remainder of party was half off. We had 7 people in the gates for $80.
