It really fun but they got rid of my favorite ride...

Love going there on my wife's birthday for fright night
I've been going here for 32 years. Love the older rides, Phantom's Revenge, and the size of the park. The Whip is a classic. The Exterminator is fun, but the line is always ridiculous.
I grew up in duquesne and glassport and used to love kennywood as a kid and teen. Nowadays it's gone so far downhill I won't return. The last time I went was for fright night and when I got there nothing was open because it wasn't dark. That doesn't make sense to me because it's supposed to be all haunted houses. After about 2 hours of being there they started opening haunted houses and the lines were absolutely insane especially since you can just pay double on your ticket to skip the lines. One of the haunted houses was actually really good and vampire themed and worth the wait, the others seemed super cheap and rushed, and one was just a pitch place tunnel with about 3 people in the entire thing that tried to scare you. I waited 2 hours in line for that.
First trip to the park for the 2020 season in the midst of COVID-19...This was the "test run for my family. It was an overall comfortable experience. I was pleased with all of the precautions put into place in advance by Kennywood. There were only two instances in two separate lines when certain patrons were not standing on their designated spots and were not properly social distancing from my family and I; I cordially spoke up during both instances and put a stop to that...Overall, a job well done regarding Kennywood and its team members.
I came here every summer growing up and was very dissatisfied with my first visit in 9 years. Half the of food stand employees dont seem to understand what their jobs were (and as someone who works the service industry im very forgiving of other service employees), the water smelled weird on the Pittsburgh Plunge, and the cost has gone up significantly with no improvement to the park itself. Just because they added new rides doesnt mean the park is better. I mean I'll probably come back, but they need to get it together.
It's an Historical family amusement park that is over 100yrs old, with all the great classics from yesteryear, coupled with today's modern super Rollercoasters. Definitely a must do, if you are ever in or near Western Pennsylvania.
I like the thrill rides. Not enough medium rides like the scrabble, tilt a whirl, spider, etc. My kids don't like the big roller coasters and upside down rides.
The park itself is great, but as for fright nights dont waste your time or money. Horrible.
Love the park! Always have a blast at Kennywood! But NEVER go when the have school marching bands!!! It's AWFUL!! , such a inconvenience & They literally block all the walk ways. U can't cross the paths to get to the things you PAYED for! I ran across the side walk in between the acts (had at least 20 feet between the 2) and got shoved by the security guard and screamed at. After that I was just walking along the side of the side walk to take my stuffed animals to my car and got screamed at by the cops for "walking with the parade" :| Excuse me but I didn't pay to not be able to do anything for 30 minutes. Many more people said the same thing. So just consider this before u buy tickets.
This place is just amazing!!! Full of fun for the whole family!!!!!!!
Great coasters, easy parking, delicious food, fast passes are worth it!
Holiday lights was alot of fun. Not alot of rides open, but the scenery is great
Great rides for kids and adults, but word of warning for parents, especially with young kids. On the summer weekends, you'll definitely be waiting in line at each ride, even in the kids section. A lot of those waits will be in the sun too. Our 4-year old didn't have the patience to wait for most of the rides, so that limited what we actually did. I would wait until the kids are a little older or go on a weekday or when it's cooler.

.mmm
I don't go to amusement parks much so I can't write a comparison, but Kennywood was easy to navigate with their map. The people were all friendly just like I hear people say about Pittsburgh folk. It was even enjoyable waiting in line talking to everyone.
Very nasty and disrespectful people that work there will never go back
It's a must but recently the prices have gone up its not worth it
The food was really delicious the rides were a fun experience and the staff were very helpful. It is a good amusement park for family fun.
Black widow is extremely fun. The BBQ place has some decent food but the beer rules are BS. 2 beers max per day and you can't leave the fenced in area. Thanks for punishing people trying to have a good time. Every other theme park I've been to serves beer throughout the park and have no issues.
Ahhh, Kennywood. The nostalgia of this place is wonderful, given the fact that I'm not even from Pittsburgh originally. It's got all the whimsy and fun of a small amusement park. That being said, the only way you'd know that is by seeing it, definitely not by talking to anyone who works there. As is the case with many places like this, the rides are primarily operated by college students who visibly (and verbally) yell about how much they hate it. I've never been to Kennywood when everything was working properly. There's always something closed and much of the time you don't know that until you arrive because their website hasn't updated it yet. The tragedy is that if everyone were nice and happy to be there, and everything was working, it would be a great place. Sadly, I don't ever see that being the case.
all of the rides were fun and the food is great I simply can't recommend kennywoood enough
I took my daughter and her friend there for fright night. Entering the cemetery walk through one of the actors told my daughters friend the she was the "fat one". He then told my daughter to mk sure the fat one went first. I told him he was ignorant and he replied that demons dont care. I was so embarrassed and upset for her. What total ignorance out of someone in a public place to a 14yr old girl. Payed to go there to hv fun not be upset and embarrassed by the employee
Love Kennywood. This would be five stars, but since the new owners too over, there had been a noticable decline in the park, with rides being shut down, not enough help in food booths, resulting in long lines, and overall cleanliness of the park.
The best place for family and friends to hangout at
A fun family place. Enjoying the excitement of the kids there.
Very expensive but as expected, only complaint is that during any decent bit of rain EVERYTHING is shut down including the indoor 4D theatre along with the indoor rollercoaster. Seems a little excessive but I guess safety is first.
Needs more umbrella ella ella eyy eyy, whenever it's raining
Very nice park. Lots of great rollercoasters and water rides.
What a way to spend a weekend . Love kennywood ! I would go again and again. Rides are fantastic. Kids also had a very good time
Kennywood has been a family favorite for years. Potatoes Patch Fries are legendary. The Thunderbolt has been my favorite coaster since I was a kid. The park has changed over the years, some changes I love and some I don't but thats life. I hope New Management doesn't try to reinvent the wheel when they take over. Keep this classic park the way it is.
Good food. Great rides. Lines aren't usually that long.
I'm from Pittsburgh and moved when I was young but come to visit family often. I currently live in Florida so I'm no stranger to amusement parks. We went to Kennywood today for the first time and had a blast! The food was regular price for an amusement park . There's fun games on every corner which makes for a fun walk around the park! And I was shocked at the extremely affordable souvenirs on our way out! WE WILL NEVER MISS KENNYWOOD ON ANY FUTURE TRIPS! Thank you so much it was awesome !
Wonderful park. Just a little confusing to get around. Its a pretty big park.
Love our season passes!! Such a fun thing to do a couple times a week for a few hours a day with the kiddies during the summer.
If you want excitement, travel to Cedar Point in Sandusky. People rating this "amusement park" (If that's what you wanna call it) highly clearly have never left Pittsburg. Only those under 10 would enjoy this place, I know what I'm talking about. I've traveled the Country numerous times and have been to the best amusement parks in America.
Having a blast and the day we chose to go on there weren't too many people there so the wait was really short
Nothing like it was before it was bought. But still a nice place to take the family I guess
We had a blast taking our 5 year old on our 1st trip to Kennywood together! We waited until the new "Thomas Town" opened, & he couldn't have been happier! It was a really fun family day!!
Had a great time. Rarely am I disappointed when I go to Kennywood. Love all there rollercoasters. A good time for all
Been going to Kennywood since about 92. Never missed a year. However as much as I love that place I cannot support the ownership who feel the need to own and abuse animals in their wild animal parks. Until they change their other business's myself and my family will never step foot in your park again.
Had company from Connecticut. It was so crowded and more rides than what was listed were closed. It took over 45 minutes to get on a ride. Before we went the website said closing at 10:30 but made after we were there said they were closing at 9:30. And some rides were closing during the parade anyway. Just left before the parade. Will not be back for awhile.
My family of 18 deep was very disappointed most rides were shut down because the workers are back to school. Terrible time for Port Authority picnic goers. They could at least giving discounts for the inconveniences. I doubt if we get season passes next year. Cedar Point here we come.
Love Kennywood! Great place for the family and the lines move pretty fast. Definitely money well spent, it's a day packed with fun for all.
Alot of the-staff are Stone faced and rude. Not very kid friendly. The one guy forgot tobbuckle my daughter, Besides that we had a good time.
It was a good time. Didn't have to pay for parking and got a good spot. Lines are still basically the same your gunna wait but they did move pretty quick. Everyone for the most part obeyed the mask rule and workers were walking around asking people to pull them up if they were down. Riders seats were spaced apart. The only thing that bothered me is the exterminator ride that line once you go in the building was packed as usual and no social distancing which I get cause it's hard.
A very pleasant amusement Park with rides for all ages. The lines can be a bit much during peak days.
Beautiful old amusement park with great old and new roller coasters.
It sucked, too many rides closed, food has gone downhill and closed early!
A very fun park. I came here for spooky weekend and it was so much fun. Although the lines were very long, the rides were the best. Especially the Black Widow
Ignorant employee's, very dirty bathrooms, most rides closed
Always came my whole lige but the lines r extra long and it just not possible 2 do the whole park in a day .n just 2 refill the souvenir cups i sat in line4. 40min
So expensive. The rides are okay but not worth the admission price
I love Kennywood!! It has a great mixture of rides and good for all ages!
Nice amusement park, food and drinks are very over priced, but you can bring your own.
Always a good time, of course its pricey, but definitely worth going
