Kameha Grand - stay in March 2019

I haven been to Kameha for business and private reasons a few times.
It has a very different style, which I love.
All the staff has a very typical local (the Rheinlaender) as well as service oriented attitude. The have a great pool, fantastic location at the riverside and a nice little ski hut outside serving more bavarian style food and drinks.
The breakfast is great, plenty choices. The rooms are for worth seeing how to combine style with functionality. The bar is lovely, as well.

However, the have a most probably cost saving continues decline in the small things. Some example: this time, I noticed furniture that need a repair first time. Trying to call roomservice, kine did break down twice (frontdesk did manage). In former time they had nice bathroom amenities from their cosmetics line, gone. Restaurant closed in Sunday. Skihut closes at nine pm. Now the even shut down the room service for food like 10 or 11 pm (which used to cater the bar, as well). So in a Sunday arriving in a leading hotel at 11pm , this means a full meal from peanuts and candybars. I get the commercial side of things, but now it is just a very stylish 4 star hotel with excellent service attitude. At least, this would now be my pricerating.

Very modern hotel with excellent size rooms. The room was very clean with walk in wet room shower and separate bath.

The room also benefits from mini bar, multichannel TV, small sound system and room service.

Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located and captivates at first glance by an exceptional appearance and a concise interior design. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. The service is professional and customer-oriented both at the reception and at the other staff. To emphasize here is the front cooking at breakfast. Unfortunately I could not use the spa area due to the short stay.

Spa area for the hotel size too small and it always somehow through traffic. Rooms are great and the staff too.

Nice hotel right on the Rhine. The pool on the third floor overlooking the Rhine is beautiful. Uncomplicated check in, friendly staff.

Everything was very nice, sauna unfortunately not so good as the quiet space is used to the passage to the pool. Even a bachelor party was very loud. We could not relax. Prices a bit overpriced for what is offered. Great location !!

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is beautiful and the bar guy, very friendly, recommended.

As part of a Mother's Day invitation, I visited this location. There was a brunch where nothing was left to be desired. Rich selection, everything fresh, partly prepared in front of the eyes, with first-class ingredients, there were even ball ice cream for the children. There was even a bouncy castle for children. I'll go brunch again. Because not only the food was perfect, but also the whole service. We were just completely satisfied and thank you once again for the invitation.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good would have been if the handrail and the push button for the hot water tap on the bath would have been available, as well as a free sink drain. (Zi. 347). Is always a mystery why you find such a thing in the hotels. Allgm. Breakfast was very good. Underground parking with direct entrance is also very pleasant. Unfortunately, windows can not be opened, everything is only via the air conditioning.

Kameha Grand is a very "fancy" hotel, which can host some lavish work events, in style. Beautiful location in a very nice area on the river. Rooms are modern and very comfortable - all good... Now if only the staff in the lobby had some sense of "customer service". It was as if everyone was having a bad day, and not happy that you wanted to spend 14 on a White Russian. My colleague waited over 30 min for a red wine, so we decided to just leave and go somewhere else. I had same feedback from other colleagues. What a pity for such a nice location.

Some friends and I went to Helloween for a party at Kameha. It was a great ambiance and the door stanchers were also very friendly. Only disguised guests made for even better party mood. There was a free ice cream for everyone and the music was very well received. We had a lot of fun and will definitely come back next year. Thanks a lot!

Was in the Rheinalm, rustic, nice staff, had a real Viennese veal schnitzel there for a long time. Very tasty, because the slightly higher price also fits.

Clean and comfortable stay. The gym is going through an upgrade, but still usable. Frankly better off going for a run through the nearby trail. Breakfast is decent, a little pricey for the value.

We had a drink in the lobby and a snack. Without us having to say anything, we were given two cutlery and two cloth napkins for only one ordered dish because we were just two. The food was very tasty, the service very friendly. Top.

Highly recommended. Quiet location by the riverside. Friendly stuff. Great breakfast. All the expected amenities from a hotel of this class.

Nice hotel with decent service, well designed rooms! Unfortunately in detail one or the other problem! The connected restaurants are not necessarily 5 star worthy, the breakfast was good, but small room with waiting times! Service otherwise good. Temperature fluctuations in the pool, the spa is very pleasant!

Well located. Unfortunately the swimming pool and spa are only open until 9:00 a.m. That doesn't suit business travelers!

Stylish hotel, not cheap but best location on the Rhine

The hotel is very nice with a modern and high quality equipment. However, the service staff seemed completely overwhelmed in all areas. The waiting times in the restaurant and at the bar are unacceptable. Unfortunately, the basics don't work here. Overall, the stay is rather disappointing. Recommendation: no!

A huge and beautiful hotel with great events and great wellness area.
The location directly on the Rhine speaks for itself

This is an absolutely stunning hotel. The room, King suit, was just amazing. Customer service was great as well. I would definitively come back for my next business trip to Bonn. Thanks for the good stay.

If the banquet service was only half as good as the look of the house, you could be satisfied. Still has a lot of potential

I go to Bonn every year and have also been to the Kameha. Everything was fine there. But this year I had to go. Corona rebook my booking, which also worked without any problems. When the event I wanted to go to was postponed again after the lockdown, it was said that it was no longer possible. I wrote a letter to the management and asked for another postponement, but to this day I have not received an answer by phone or in writing, let alone my money back. For me, that does not show any readiness for service and that is why I will be going to the Maritim Hotel in Bonn in the future. It's a shame about the beautiful ambience, but that's not how it works! I am surprised that people treat their customers that way because of Corona.

The hotel was really nice and the breakfast was delicious. Plenty of choice and something for everyone - the extremely great pancakes and the fresh salmon deserve special mention. BUT the heated pool is much too cold and you really can't call it heated. Please change please! The view in the evening too beautiful to not be able to enjoy it :(
The food in the next level was not Michelin-worthy and unfortunately the waitresses were very rude.

Terrible architecture ... but the service is great ...

A disappointment from the beginning to almost the end ... The only good is there 1 * Restaurant..all others fails all along the line. Arrival bad - front desk bad - room bad bar woman penetrating and bad .... and so on It goes on ... The hotel has in my opinion not 5 stars deserves special is on a decent 4 star level ... unfortunately much gifted potential ...

Nice located directly on the Rhine 5 * hotel. When we arrived at the hotel 14h, the receptionist was a bit rude. We could only check in from 16h. When we came back ggh 18h we stood in line
The superior room 279 was nice..allerdings the drainage of the sink was clogged and the floor in front of the TV was wet..from whatever ...
The infinity pool is great and the view from the overlying power room and sun terrace very nice

Good looking hotel from outside and inside. Apart from the red seats in the lobby as they look cheap... Great view on the river rhein. Nice junior suite. However there was a boxershort left from previous customers... Wallpapers a bit used. The same for the curtains. What is great: you may borrow an electric car for free if it is available, deposit of a bit more than 700 euros. Food can be ordered in your room but is charged 5 Euros delivery lol! Design of the room is nice unless you do not like too many details on the floor and walls. Can be pressurising! Calling the reception, no one may answer your calls which is a pity for that high end hotel. Employees of the hotel are really kind! Get offers on zenhotel e.g. river nearby, backery, restaurants! Oh and electric bikes may also be borrowed for free at this hotel!! There is a heated pool and sauna!

Nice hotel, but at 5 the night is over. A giant construction site right outside the front door. For almost 200 without breakfast plus parking costs are just too much.

The "spa" is modern but without any love for Detai furnished. Fits the rest of the hotel.
After the description of the spa area I would definitely have expected more. The rooftop pool is freezing cold.

Bad and terrible is everything I can think of. Overpriced and for no reason, sell vouchers for the spa these can only be used during the week. But it is not on it, they say only when you call. And there is no money back !!! Bad

On Sunday we tried the brunch again because of a gift voucher. As a very tea-loving person, when choosing my Oolong tea, I realized that it's not a classic "real" oolong. This tasted surprisingly fabulous. The choice of food is really varied and varied. Unfortunately, this diversity is due to a bit of quality. So were, no question, scrambled eggs and bacon etc. impeccable. Also on the selection of cold meats and small salads and marinated vegetables you can not complain. Extraordinary highlights are the little things at the Live Cooking Station. This Sunday were the rabbit pralines with a really wonderful madeira sauce. If you turn to the warm dishes of the buffet you will unfortunately be very disappointed. The potato gratin was missing nutmeg and salt, the cream savoy rag raspy tasted slightly better than the gratin. The most disappointed we were from the hare ragout, dry cooked, no typical wild spices to taste, 08/15 sauce, it just lacked the sophistication. After the damper of the warm dishes you have to praise but then the selection and quality of the desserts. Something for every taste, both fresh fruity and sinfully chocolaty. Because of that remained a positive impression. However, this brunch would not have been a gift if it had not been worth the money for me.

All in all, my stay was good, but not perfect, as you would expect in an upscale hotel. The room was facing the interior of the hotel and therefore you could not open the window, air conditioning did not work properly, so it was much too warm in the room. In the lobby we ordered 2 beers in the evening and waited almost 20 minutes. One had the feeling that the nice bar men had yet to brew. It was the same later with the cocktail. Sry but that is not possible at all, it is essential to work on it, even with the prices, such a long wait is not justified. The breakfast was good and rich, unfortunately there is a shortcoming. Please change how fresh orange juice is prepared. The fact that you can prepare them yourself (electric press) is great, but you have longer waiting times and after repeated use, the entire table is splashed with orange juice. A machine would be highly recommended here. All in all enough for a wellness day, I refrain from a longer stay.

No customer orientation
A star is still too much for a hotel, this class, which shows no customer orientation. The only reason I booked the hotel was the pool. This was unfortunately not usable because of contamination. This is probably force majeure and primarily not the fault of the hotel. BUT: the handling by the hotel with this circumstance was absolutely not acceptable! Only at check-in was informed - in times of email absolutely incomprehensible, especially since I had called before and asked if a previous check-in would be possible. Here could have done an info (on the promised call, if it is possible to check in earlier, I wait until today). Despite several complaints on the part of the hotel no compensation was offered - a joke, after all, I have not paid very little for the performance. The absolute hammer: When talking with other guests, it turned out that this as a "sorry" for the usability of the pool a free breakfast. I felt like a second-class person! An impudence, how differently one is treated here. No service thought. In the room then unfortunately the toothpaste stains and whiskers of the predecessor were to be found. For a 5 star hotel an absolute absurd! A worse value for money and lousy service I could not have expected. Then rather Motel One!

I cannot rate the rooms. Breakfast is poor for me. Too little. Selection and two types of baked rolls. That is not how it works!

I was here during a conference. Nice rooms and meeting rooms. Buffet who very good. Service was very hard.

I was on 03.Juni after the Rheinalm in the Stage Bar. The service was extremely slow, unfortunately warm beer, we were served Averna from Gerolsteiner water glasses. As a coronation we should be quieter ... ?? at the bar at 23:00?! For the prices asked unacceptable, so all around no befitting evening, unfortunately!

Very nice and stylish house with courteous staff. The suites are nicely furnished and have a nice view of the Rhine provided the appropriate upgrade. The cocktails in the hotel bar "Stage" are very good and cooked to perfection. The Yunico restaurant has a Michelin Star star rating.

I was here for the public viewing of the World Cup games.

Representative conference rooms, offers plenty of space for four-way calls, good service, modern facilities, extensive facilities.

A perfect night at Kameha! A bed of great quality, delicious cocktails, a room in perfect condition with a whole package of services. I recommend!

The brunch was delicious, but the service was "not good" today, one could say hardly or not at all, and should hardly have lived up to the Kameha's claim. Pity!

A great, exceptional hotel in Bonn-Beuel. Modern facilities throughout the hotel. Delicious restaurant.
