Scratchy bath towels, parking a long way from entrance, pins colada of all things was mega weak sauce (can't bring own drinks while theirs are no bueno). Nice folks everywhere though and comfortable beds, quiet rooms.

Love this place. The reason I did not give a 5 star this time is not their fault, but the inconsiderate parents who let their small children in the hallway at 7:30 in the morning screaming. I've had 4 kids and I know that overnight guest pay big money to get a good night's sleep. If you were the parent's of loud small children on the 5th floor, near rm 5117, you owe me a refund!

We stayed at the JW over the holidays. Very good customer service, great food, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Kids also enjoyed their stay. Would highly recommend! Look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy water park, pool & lazy river.

Spending NYE here was the right decision. Fun for kids, great food and perfect accommodation. We only had one small issue with the room that was assigned to us and it was immediatly solved.

Incredible stay. Amazing food. Plenty of amenities, from tennis to ping pong to golf to a lazy river to a variety of waterslides to ... the list goes on and on. Most of all we enjoyed the vast selection of food here. Each on site restaurant specializes in a unique cuisine. Drinks were great as well.

The room was as expected. The tv was larger than expected, probably bigger than 65inches and it was a smart tv with standard apps such as netflix, etc.

Parking lot is very large and may require a few minutes of walking. There is also valet if preferred. The resort is fairly large and is very well kept up and taken care of.

Booking a king room months in advance does absolutely no good, because the hotel will give your king room away. We reserved a king room, then called again earlier on the day of check in to advise them of a late check-in and asked them to confirm that we had a king room. They confirmed a king room over the phone again. When we arrived, they said there were no kings available??? What does reservation mean to this hotel? Well, apparently they say it only means request with no guarantees. We have stayed at many other Marriott facilities, but have never been treated so unprofessionally. This place appears to be a nice facility, but we can t recommend staying here. Rooms are clean, but nothing special. If you get stuck in a 2 double bed room, then plan on only one adult per bed. Yes, they are only 6 inches wider than a twin bed. Should at least be 2 queen beds. Who the heck furnishes a hotel with double beds anyhow? Ridiculous.

Rooms are clean the grounds are beautiful the personnel friendly and helpful. We spent the day relaxing by the pool. Stopped for lunch at the Velocity sports bar. The televisions were amazing and the food was excellent.

We did a quick staycation over the weekend. For the price of the resort I expected more.

Pros: great pools, and water slides, and fun activities like bacon smores you can make at night. The buffet night at the Cibilo Canyon restaurant was such a great deal with amazing food. The Giant TV in our room was awesome! Parking is free (super limited spaces though). The customer service is good if you can find some one to help you.

Cons: NO dr. Pepper how do you have a top resort in Texas and not serve Dr. pepper.
They were understaffed for the weekend. We would have spent more money if we could just find someone to order from around the pool area. The grill by the pools is so confusing. No one knew where to stand to order or pay. It was an awful mess we just left and didn't order anything. Every where you turn everything cost more money. They give you a voucher for a free drink when you check in, sadly the voucher won't cover a virgin strawberry daiquiri You have to pay $5 more for that. But they'll give you any wine or alcohol you want. For some reason using a blender costs more. And I was saving them money with no alcohol in it.
There's some huge signage issues in this place. Like where do you get the tubes. There's no signs you just have to walk around until you see someone not using one.
It would be nice if more workers monitored the seating areas around the pool. Looking for a place to sit at the pool was crazy. People save there spots with their towels. But so many people walk away from their seats leaving their towels and never return so it looks like it's being saved but it's not. I think workers could easily keep an eye on a section and make sure they clear the chairs not being used.
The adult only pool is a great idea except it tore up my husbands feet. (I sat most of the time while in it) his feet were torn up. Layers of skin were ripped up and hanging off.
The website says there are things offered and then they're not. We went to the high velocity restaurant and online they had a BBQ burger on the menu. Went down to the restaurant and it's not on the menu. They need to make sure those are consistent. Or give us a menu in the room. We just wanted to see what they had before deciding which restaurant to go to.

Amazing service. I am in awe after this trip and while I dont remember her name, the audit manager gave me the best service I have ever had. She came over after a little mixup with my room and upgraded me to an amazing room to make it up to me. Extremely grateful for this person and this amazing resort

We stayed for a weekend getaway here and enjoyed our visit. We had breakfast at Cibolo Moon, the chocolate covered crossaints are awesome. Our only complaint was the construction work going on across the hall that kept banging the door. It was not an unreasonable hour, but disrupted naps.

Wow! This is quite the resort. We booked a last minute room and had to use Marriott points to keep the price down since there was a convention going on during our stay. The hotel is large and very nice. Although we were only there overnight, I will not hesitate to stay there again when I'm in San Antonio

This was my first time staying at the He. It was amazing. We got there late and the staff was very helpful finding our room for us. The rooms themselves are amazing as well. Huge flatscreen tv and enormous bathrooms. The beds are comfortable too. Definitely will stay again.

Worst customer service. Hotel is a bad experience. We booked it for three days, but we could not stay for complete duration.

It claims to be Family resort. Nothing related to family was there. We went there for a family trip. Utter disappointed. Never again

Huge facility and everything was great. Very clean and comfortable, not too hot or too cold. Food was great, attended a few professional events there. Rooms were immaculate and everything was clean and organized. Staff was very helpful. Have not been to the water park part of the resort, but everything hotel related was amazing. Only complaint is parking - self parking fills up quick and additional parking is hard to locate. Not quite worth a star, but come very early to any event you may be attending.

My husband and I booked this resort using a family and friends discount rate . We were half way there from houston and get an email to call them as soon as possible. Turns out they had over - booked the hotel and did not have a room for us. Finding this out 2 hours before arrival with our 2 children wasn't comforting. We were forced to scramble for another hotel. Our children were so excited about their first big resort trip and we ended up at a courtyard Marriott with a broken pool! Very disappointed in this customer service.

Fine!

My family and I enjoyed our family vacation there. It was a very nice resort considering it's in the U.S., I find the international resorts a little better. However, the rooms were pretty clean, the staff was friendly, and the water slides and activities was great for a mom like me with small children.

Huge complex with multiple stores, restaurants, and over 15 ballrooms! Valet parking is expensive, but self parking is not very far of a walk, albeit uphill. The restaurant in the open lobby has great views and plenty of natural lighting. The staff for the event I was a part of was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended if you can afford this amazing venue!

My husband and I love to have fancy date nights at the JW. We also do family staycations here. This past Presidents Day weekend, we stayed 3 nights. We ate at each restaurant, but brunch on Sunday at 18 Oaks is always our favorite. Mandy is our server every time. She takes every opportunity to make our dining special, especially this past weekend, which was not only a holiday weekend but our 11 year wedding anniversary. Mandy had a cheesecake slice with candle and message as dessert for us after brunch and then sent us chocolate covered strawberries and rose' Moet once we were in our room. Aside from great dining experiences, our 5 year old son and my best friend joined us on Sunday afternoon, and we got to play soccer on the expansive lawn. I love how spacious the lawns are for families to run around and play. Our room was on the 6th floor, and the elevators are so efficient and quick, you'd think you were only on the 2nd floor. It's hassle free! The room had a walk-out balcony with view directly above the front of the hotel. It was beautiful to look out over the trees. Even the storm that rolled in provided a great light show and zero anxiety. I always sleep well here. For light sleepers, however, you can hear almost everything through the semi-thin walls.

Loved the resort itself and spa services were great; unfortunately, I am still dealing with incorrect charges from the Spa Bar. The service was poor and server was unable to correctly complete closing out open tab. I spent 45 minutes at checkout correcting the errors and was assured it had been adjusted. I was double charged and 15 days later, I am still unable to get a response and correction from the resort restaurant director despite multiple messages.
