Not a good first impression at all. When we called and booked the rooms we were told that check in is at 4 pm , but that s not accurate at all. Basically we are at the mercy of previous guests. Imagine planning your trip around the check in time, but to be told sorry there nothing anyone can do . Why do we have to pay the price of someone else s mistake. Not what we expected from such an established organization. Don t tell people things you cannot deliver. Very disappointing.

Here for a conference, didn t feel well so we picked up some over the counter stuff and went to see Texas, here s what our amazing Room Attendant left us....what customer service!!

Gorgeous hotel. Meeting room was nice with and excellent breakfast and lunch spread. Staff was so nice and everyone was so hospitable.

Room and overall hotel is amazing, but fairly expensive. The food at the restaurants are okay, but do not match the price to be paid.

Ultimate family getaway! Clean rooms, clean grounds, pool area and facility. The water park kept the kids (and adults) happy for consecutive days. As expected on site food and drink was pricy but saves you from driving into town repeatedly.

The location is however close to shopping, groceries, food and fuel.

Close to SeaWorld and Aquatica Waterpark (if planning on going buy the multi-day pass for best deal and food plan if you plan on staying all day)

Parking was full but the concierge will give you a ride to and from if needed.

Have fun at this location!

I was here with my parents for a business trip and it was incredible. The inclusion of River Bluff and the go if course was like nothing I've ever experienced at a hotel. The food at the included restaurant was great and the prices were reasonable. Recommend to all

Very nice rooms with the most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed in.

Pros: great staff that works hard to make this a four star experience, nice waterpark with short lines and great lazy river. Cons: double sized beds instead of queens are ludicrous at this price point making sleeping a painful experience for families with kids larger than tots,. Alcohol drinks are very expensive at $13, small, and inconsistent. Tips: order beer for a can that is also a better value at $6. Eat at Cibolo or at the pool for better food. The baked potatoe is a great value. They do have daily events for tots but the s'mores needs to be at least two locations to prevent it being lame. Bring your own drinks and food to save a ton.

Love this place!!! I'm actually here this weekend for my Anniversary.. staff is always fabulous. This year I had Cierra at front desk and Kendall who waited on us at the pool. 5 stars!!! Love my watermelon mojito! Thank u to the wonderful bartender who made it!! Refreshing

Rooms are nice- housekeeping need to do a better job of dusting- top of refrigerator, inside cabinets where a person may store their belongings. They need to get rid of the skunks that frighten people away from enjoying the evening hours in the beautiful courtyard. After going for a 3rd year, will not be returning to this resort.

The venue was amazing and the food was delicious. Had a wonderful time.

The River Bluff water park Lazy River and Canyon Oak Twister Body Slide ,Tube Slide and there s Adults Pool & Hot Tub this place is awesome they thought off everything and everyone to have fun.
everyone is super friendly and ready to help you with luggage.our room was beautiful balcony view off the golf area very clean and spacious love it .highly recommend this hotel

I have attended several different events at the JW Marriott, and each one has been a great experience. Weddings, business conferences or just a weekend at the resort and spa, impeccable service every time

It is a fabulous hotel, the attention is unique, you will feel at home, the water park is the best, it is the best there is, which hotel level I recommend 100%

Fantastic facility across the board. However, come prepared as it is not close to anything.

Hmm. Rooms are great. Lazy river ok but lots of debris. Restaurants have restricted menu and no vege or vegan options. Bars all close by 11pm. No food available between 2 and 5pm. No cleaning services available in the rooms. Staff have a attitude and believe the world owes them something

Very beautiful property. Surprised there is no airport shuttle, and the motion sensor AC is crazy, you must wave your arms at night to keep AC on. Maintenance staff are very polite. Conference facilities are great.

We had a family & friends group of about 22 people. We've typically
been very satisfied in previous years for either Thanksgiving or Easter. However, this past Thanksgiving, the experience didn't match the price. Specifically, it appeared the quality and variety of what was offered to choose from was at a noticeable lower level.

What an amazing resort this place is. Was here for a convention and had a great time. The grounds are amazing. The gym is superb. The golf course is great. Obviously JW is going to be a bit more pricey but it's worth it

Best hotel I have stayed at outside of the Disney Resorts. Too bad it was for a conference. Definitely will be back on vacation to play the TPC courses and ride the waterslide.

Our day at the spa was lovely! I had a wonderful lavender and honey massage and then went to lunch after at their replenish cafe. The burger was excellent! I also got to enjoy the pool that is only allowed for guest of the spa so it was quite relaxing and not noisy at all.

Very nice grounds, but the rooms are nothing special and, as usual with the expensive hotels, they nickel and dime you. Internet is not free, the activities for kids are ridiculously expensive. The place has a convention center, 2 golf courses and a lazy river. The sports bar has huge screens. The Mexican restaurant has good food. Fireplace outside. If interested: the large room TV has an awful picture, pixelating most of the time.

Great resort, fun pool area, huge sports bar, and lots of luxury. I had a suite on the 4th floor but it was actually the first floor of part of the property, so my balcony was technically a grass field that ended up hosting a party until the wee hours of a morning. It was great, I wouldn't hesitate going again.

This hotel and golf resort was far better than I expected. Courteous and friendly service, good sized rooms and amenities. The property is huge but still feels personal with well landscaped gardens and areas to just hang out. If you are into golf, the course is excellent.

I went for a conference with about 800 people. Plenty of parking. The place is beautiful and flows well. The thing that blew me away was how many people they had in place at the start of the event to usher us in and guide us to our destination. I mean LOTS of people. I probably had 6 or 7 people direct me, greet me, offer me coffee, check me in, and all of them were friendly and professional. Impressive.

The best resort in Texas. We enjoyed our vacation here at the J W Marriott Hill Country Resort . The lazy river swimming pool is awesome.

Scenic in an absolutely great location with very good and friendly staff, but not suitable for a relaxing holiday in the high season due to the oversized size in every way. Room to the courtyard (pool area) did not give the desired peace. After a requested move to a quiet room (location to the golf course) the rest and relaxation effect could be produced. Special mention should be made of the restaurant 18 Oaks. A by American standards unusually great kitchen with an excellent service.

We have found our getaway place. The amenities are excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We have 5 year old twins and they enjoyed the activities and the water park setup. Staff was always accommodating, friendly and professional. We will definitely stay again.

While ordering room service I met a nice lady, very polite! Best of all. She even mentioned the starwars on my ps2, we chatted about that for a few minutes. Best waitress ever!

Before I checked out the hotel rooms they turn off the water. When I spoke with receptionist who cares you :(.
