This hotel is an expensive hotel at around $170 a night. For the cost I expected A lot more out of the hotel. The water pressure of the shower was just awful. What made the hotel stand out was the fantastic staff they had working. I was not able to check out the water park as it was too cold during my visit.

Very nice hotel with a great water park for the kids. It's always busy so it sometimes takes them longer than it should to respond to requests. Our room was not ready on time and took a few hours for us to get checked in and to our room.

Beautiful, relaxing and entertaining resort. The staff members are hospitable. Great place for the entire family or any family gathering. Offers an amazing variation of restaurants and entertainment. Children will love and enjoy the waterpark.

This place is awesome the scenery is so beautiful the water park is a good size to keep us busy great activities for the kids. Only thing is the sidewalks to get from one ride to another are horrible they made my feet hurt n floor was extra hot. Next time I'll have water shoes. Food is also delicious.

We only visited the outdoor resort areas, but they were fantastic! Everything was super clean and beautiful. The pool area included a lazy river, a really elaborate young kids' area, a sand 'beach' connecting to a gradual decline pool, and four really impressive waterslides! We were only expecting a nice pool but got a day at a nice waterpark instead! Service was really top notch too--all the staff were really courteous and professional. Five big gold stars.

Great waterpark but needs hotel and grounds maintenance. The weeds off our patio are a foot high the building needs to be powerwashed and cushions on the chairs replaced. We loved the lazy river but it closed at 8. The gigantic rock waterfall was not working. But the staff employees were beyond excellent!

Having to wait an hour for your car from valet is insane. No matter how busy you are there is no excuse for people having to wait that long for their vehicles especially since the amount we pay for the rooms. Make sure you don t valet or prepare when you are leaving to wait for a while

Not a 5 star hotel! Carpet in the room has tears. Molding around door facings is chipped. Bed linens and bath towels are worn.
Housekeeping is very slow (did not clean our room until 5pm, despite repeated calls). Remodeling in the room above ours started at 8am both Saturday and Sunday....noisy (but I applaud the efforts, based on our room condition it is badly needed). The only reason I gave 2 stars is the external area is nice and generally the staff is friendly. Just dont expect a Four Seasons experience here.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, really is the best San Antonio has to offer in terms of golf course and hill country resort, beautiful views, exceptional staff, 3 restaurants, 3 bars, and a really fun water park. I'd recommend this resort for golf tournaments, conventions, and family getaways. The only downside is the traffic around the area, 281 and 1604 really is a mess especially during peak hours but once you get to the resort expect a 5 star experience.

Stayed on the 7th floor overlooking the golf course. Great view. Food at the sports bar was great. Was sad that the lazy River was brisk unlike the pool which was heated. Sand near the slide entering lazy River wasn't pleasant. Staff very friendly and always smiling. Would stay again.

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott Hill Country during a work conference. I brought the family down with me and we stayed through the weeked. It was fabulous. All workers at the Marriott were courteous and helpful catering to all our needs. The kids loved the pool area as well. Would love to go back!

The hotel is so clean, you get to have a lot of fun, and the beds are so comfortable. The food was high quality and the tv had all the channels that I love watching, They even had a waterpark full of adventure and excitement. I suggest this hotel after a long, busy day.

Disappointing. My best friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend staycation, we are San Antonio residents. We really just wanted to lay out by the pool all day. And you have to get a room of course. So we paid the astronomical room rate. When we showed up there was trash outside of our room and our bell hop just left it there. The room was a typical hotel room. Uncomfortable bed. No microwave :(
Our dining options seemed limited to a bar, fine dining, or Cibolo Moon. So we ate at Cibolo Moon which we should have walked out when we saw the buffet. The whole experience was disappointing. With one exception, they do have amazing margaritas.
Cibolo moon was equally disappointing at breakfast. To top it off a cold front came in and there was no way we could lay out by the pool. The hotel staff showed no concern about our disappointment. The water park staff gave us wristbands to come back within the next couple of days but it just wasn't warm enough. We would have gone to the spa but it is extremely over priced. Such a disappointment. I was hoping to come back several more times with my husband but there's no way.

Nice, not worth the price they charged but ok. Refrigerator too small, no microwave unlike advertisement so I ate my food cold. Restuarant selection was not quality organic or clean food but the price did not reflect that. Way overpriced. Very few unprocessed food choices. Had to get Whole foods & Sprouts/HEB organic curbside delivery to compensate for low quality selection. Laundry room wreaked of detergent chemicals from heavily fragrances enough to give one a headache. Gym was nice had great selection of weights to go with good windows for view and did Not wreak of odor covering chemicals & perfumes thank God, and was great addition to walking trail options provided by front desk. Staff super helpful and friendly, cleaning staff did great job. Grateful they removed the $50/night resort fee since conference attendees food not have time for water slides! Bottled water in back of conference rooms were nice instead of recycled City water. My reward points have not posted for the$1200 but hopefully will soon!

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country is a great conference venue. The rooms are clean and well equipped with comfortable beds. The bar in the lobby is lively in the evenings and has good service. It's a beautiful hotel overall.

Great place as a family getaway. We have 2 kiddos under 4. This place has awesome pools with sand beach entrances, lazy river, kiddie activities, great restaurants, etc. I would recommend it. The only downside is that it can be a little pricey. The room rate plus resort fees was a little high although it does include the "waterpark" access. Drinks by the pool and meals can add up but it was worth it. Great staff, clean, and the property looks new and updated.

We were only there for one night, but it was the best hotel experience I've ever had. Amazing staff, beautiful grounds and very clean and spacious room. We can't wait to go back to spend more time and take in everything else that is offered.

Lots to do! Wonderful place to stay, relax, and unwind. Caters to the whole family year round. Had a light show at night, live reindeer, s'mores for kids of all ages, and Santa, of course. Excellent food. The place is a little pricey.

Perfect for family or to go as a couple. They offer so many amenities that are appropriate for all ages. The service of the staff demonstrated customer goal satisfaction. The lazy river and pools were fantastic. Can't wait to go again!

Had the opportunity to visit last week for a sales meeting. Check in was a breeze as they had additional staff on duty to accommodate our large team. Staff and house keeping were very polite and helpful. The only average service I had was at the Starbucks and the gift shop on property. I'm sure that had to do with a thousand people all trying to get their caffeine fix before the meetings started.

The absolute best part was the Cibolo Moon cafe. The servers were top notch and their recommendations were spot on. Food tasted freshly prepared and had plenty of flare (spices). Portions were much larger than I'm accustomed to but that's not a bad thing, just had to adjust to needing a doggy bag.

Prices are high, especially if you are unaccustomed to resort style hotels, but they are on par with most resorts. Not that it makes it any easier to shell out $4 for a bottle of coke, but if you've visited Disney, it feels almost like a bargain.
