This was my first time at the spa. I felt welcome the minute I arrived. I was greeted by name without even introducing myself. The facilty is attractive and smells great. I enjoyed the relaxing foot bath in the transition room and the offer of beverages. Sean was right on time and greeted me warmly. He has a sincere and engaging personality. He was easy to chat with and I appreciated his thoughtful questions. The massage itself was wonderful. The time seemed to fly by. Sean definitely knows his craft. The massage managed to get all the kinks out and be incredibly relaxing at the same time. I definitely felt refreshed when he was finished. It was a great first experience, and I can't wait to go back. I won't hesitate to book with Sean again. Better than I expected. Thank you Sean.

This was my first time visiting Joseph Anthony, and I must say it's an experience like no other. The facility is so beautiful and clean, and everyone was so pleasant and cheerful. I felt so relaxed from beginning to end. My stylist, Jay, was wonderful. She did such an amazing job on my hair and made it look so beautiful. I couldn't believe how soft it was when she was done. I am extremely pleased.

For a business "recognized as the premiere day spa in the region" (as it says on their website), I expected a whole lot more.
A few years ago, I went here for balayage. During my consultation before the process began, I explained the color I wanted & the stylist seemed quite enthusiastic. Turns out, me explaining the color somehow conveyed to her that I wanted that color all over instead of as balayage even though I repeatedly said "balayage" and "at the bottom" while motioning to the tips of my hair. I'm a laid back person so I actually just let it go. I paid and went on my way. When I got home, I decided I had to speak up & I emailed Joseph Anthony, explained what happened & I asked if I had paid the balayage cost, or just a one color cost and they said I paid for one color & sent me a copy of the receipt that literally said "Hair color" with the cost. According to the prices listed on their site, though, I had paid for balayage.
A few months ago, I went to Joseph Anthony for a manicure after having a less-than-stellar experience at another salon. It was the morning of my engagement photos & the manicurist nicked the index finger on my left hand and I bled the whole time. She literally painted the blood into the polish, then did another coat over it so that you didn't see it. Also, I mentioned my previously bad manicure from another business & said the person there didn't even paint to the edges of the sides of my nails. She said "why would you not cover the nail?" and then proceeded to not cover the nail. I felt like I was hurried along because we didn't pause for enough time for my finger to stop bleeding. I offered to hold my hand up, to help the bleeding slow, and she said "no no. If my boss saw you with your hand up..." and trailed off. She was already onto her next appointment while my nails dried & I left, so I ended up paying full price. I don't know if I would have gotten a discount had she walked me to the register, but I wasn't going to be like "hey, she cut me, give me a discount" because it was an honest mistake but ... come on.
I want to like this place. I really do. All of my friends who have gone there rant and rave about how amazing it is, but I just do not get it.

After a few bad experiences, I had the best experience today (1/28/15). I went in the Thursday before and the ash blonde color did not turn out good at all (orange roots, orange streaks, a very shiny orange color). I called and spoke to Jake who got me in right away to see my normal girl, Chelsea. Chelsea got some advice from Devin and they both got my color EXACTLY where I wanted it. Even though it took 5 hours, it was WELL worth the wait and work. These girls went out of their way for me and did an amazing job. I want to thank everyone involved in getting everything fixed. I REALLY appreciate it.

I am never disappointed at Joseph Anthony s! This was my first time having Donna cut my hair and she did an excellent job. In the past I ve had Dani and Dana, both do a great job. I just love to treat myself occasionally to a facial. My husband always gets me gift cards for Joseph Anthony. He knows how much I love the service I receive.
Let me start of by saying I'm always nervous when seeing a hair stylist for the first time. I have very fine hair with a bad hairline so I'm very particular. Dana was freaking awesome! She knew exactly how to cut my hair to make it look nice, give some shape and add volume. I scheduled another appt. before leaving which a rarely do. Also, her bubbly personality makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Thanks so much Dana!!!

Never disappointed by the excellent care taken by Oksana in giving a facial! I was glowing and relaxed walking out of the spa despite the COVID adjustments. I've been to Joseph Anthony for both hair and spa services. I first visited Joseph Anthony at 15 years old to go from dark brown to very blonde. That stylist was amazing. I have no idea how she actually brought my hair to that shade in just one sitting. Since then I have been back multiple times with different level stylists and everything has been great. Unfortunately my last cut was not as great. The level 3 stylist was juggling both myself and another client who was waiting for her dye to set. She would be mid cutting my hair, look at the time, and then run back to the other client while I sat there. I do get that double booking has to happen at times to make the stylist get in as many clients as possible, but when it impacts the customer experience it's disappointing.
My Spa experience was also not stellar. I got a facial and the entire time the specialist was pushing me to buy products. I was not able to fully enjoy and relax in the moment because I was constantly being asked about buying products.
I make a last minute appointment this morning and selected "any stylist". Shannon was the perfect match for me today! As a new mom dealing with postpartum hair loss I came in emotional and in desperate need of a hair cut. She knew exactly what I was going through and was so accommodating to my feelings. She gave me the most beautiful hair cut and I am so grateful for the mom to mom treatment. I have never had a bad haircut from Joseph Anthony all of the stylist are amamzing. Especially grateful for Shannon today. Thank you!

Riley was so great. I always stress out about getting a blowout with curl because I have so much hair and it takes forever usually. Riley got it done in record time, and my hair looked perfect for my baby shower.
My daughter and I had to wait for Shannon, not just due to Covid-19, but because she was on maternity leave. Worth the wait - we don t trust anyone else with our hair! I have been going to her for 15 years for a reason - she s the best!

First time visiting this salon, and I am highly disappointed with the service I received. I felt as if the staff and my hair stylist were very unknowledgeable about color treated hair. I dye my hair different colors, so when I booked the appointment I specifically told the receptionist I needed a color specialist with experience, and told her exactly what I needed done over the phone (re-bleaching and recoloring all the way to my roots). I showed up to my appointment, which had apparently been scheduled as just a "touch up". Not what I wanted. When I told my stylist what I scheduled for my hair, she was completely unaware and did not have enough time. I felt as if my stylist believed it was my mistake, and treated me as if I was an inconvenience and not a paying customer. The color is washed out and looks exactly the same as before I came in. There is also bleached strands of hair with no color at all. I'm disappointed that it was so expensive and my hair does not look ANY different. As someone who's been color treating my hair for quite some time, I've never been so unsatisfied with my hair, and I definitely expected better quality from such a high caliber salon. I would not recommend coming to this salon if you dye your hair different colors, they seem uneducated in that realm. I don't even have time to go back and get my hair fixed since I leave for college In a few days. Besides, I would not even want to go back because of this bad experience... I just want a refund, so I can go get my hair properly re-done elsewhere.

Top Notch Salon! I've only used their hair services so far but everyone greets me and is so friendly. The salon is immaculate. I see Devin and she is fantastic! She listens to what you want and then explains what she sees in your hair and it's attributes ( in my mind, it's flaws,, haha) and ties it all together. She also does my high lites and low lites, too.
Very clean, very safe and staff is extremely courteous!! Love the smell of brewing! Shannon is wonderful and very attentive to those who have special needs like lipreading or deafness.

I came in and was very tight and sore from my back all the way down to my toes. Steph did a great job of working my muscles just how they needed to be. It was the perfect mix of deep hard pressure with soft touch when needed. I enjoyed it so much that I already booked another appointment in two weeks. I highly recommend. The entire experience at the salon was wonderful and very welcoming.

I had my hair done on 11/6 with Dana. I asked for a balayage which at first In salon I did like the way it looked. But once I washed my hair I realized there was too much brown put in it and it looks like I have roots that have been growing out for months. I would have emailed sooner but I just had a surgery and have been recovering. When I am feeling better I would like to come in and have my hair have more highlighting put in it as I am not pleased with results. I have been coming to this salon for years and am a loyal customer. Thank you and I hope you can help me rectify my situation.

Then I went into Brine room got all tensed up again there were six people in there talking none stop. When Ruby was doing my legs, head and shoulder massage I couldn t enjoy it from all the chatter. I kept my fingers in my ears so I could try to enjoy. This is the fourth time that this happen to me.
My suggestion would be to have a sign that says quiet room, no talking, please be
Mindful of others enjoying there quiet time and have the escort asked all their questions before entering the room. This could stop all the noise and keep the room zin and peaceful. I left feeling more tense than when I arrived.

Joseph Anthony s has always impressed me, and continues to during the pandemic. I went for the first time in months and I felt safe. They had all precautionary methods in place which was very reassuring.
I am extremely unhappy with my service I received a week ago. I am currently looking for a new salon and do not plan to return to Joseph Anthony. When I was in a few months ago I also had a bad experience but I let it go and tried to give it another go. Well last week when I called to make my appointment for my eyebrow wax and spray tan I specifically asked if I should get my eyebrows waxed a few days prior to my spray tan and the woman on the phone assured me it was fine to have them both done the same day. So when I came in I went in for my eyebrow wax first and she told me I should not get my face spray tanned since I was having my eyebrows waxed. I was not happy with that because I am so fair skinned I didn t want to come out two different colors so I asked her to still spray my face. She proceed with the eyebrow wax and told me she really needed to scrub my eyebrows so that the spray tan didn t adhere under my brow. Well I don t know what she used on my eye but it burned SO bad I wanted to scream. (After leaving I realized she had burned both of my eyebrows when she waxed them and she must have applied alcohol on the burns. Mind you I was in a wedding party on Saturday.) Also after letting my spray tan set over night I showered the next day and I have to say this was the WORST spray tan I ever received I was ORANGE and splotchy I had to listen to people make comments about my how bad my spray tan was all weekend. And the cherry on top is when I went to leave she said are you getting your make up done professionally? I said yes and she said good they can cover up any discoloration. You shouldn t even have to say that!!!!!!!! I am not one to ever write reviews and I usually suck it up when I have bad service but multiple people told me I should say something. Especially the make up artist who did my make up for the wedding I was in on Saturday because she said it was the worst burn she s ever seen. Very disappointed.
