We shopped around before making our decision to purchase a beautiful wool carpet here. Opal was fantastic to work with, so much in fact, that she was the reason we came back to the store and made our purchase. She was the perfect saleswoman. She asked questions to discover what our needs, price points, and preference were. She also showed us carpets in every price point and style so we felt like we were making an informed decision.

The installation was ok. We had to have the installers come back because the carpet was loose in a closet. We did have to touch up the paint in several places and there were a few nicks in our wood trim. It wasn't the end of the world since we had to drop the trim anyways (our mistake), but I was a little annoyed that I had to repaint my walls at a level higher than my waistline. Not the end of the world though.

One bit of feedback I would provide to management is that I never received a follow up call after the installer returned. In fact, I never received a follow up call after the initial installation. It is enough of an issue that I won't purchase carpet from here again. There was no sense that Johnson Carpet wanted repeat business.

Horrible experience - Management/owners need to thoroughly investigate/background/reference check the subcontractors/installers & sales people they hire! The lack of professionalism, attention to detail and follow up of work is the worst! When the installer, Jesse, came to the house to install tile he was not friendly whatsoever. He proceeded to ask me what specifically needed to be done. You would've thought the sales woman would've explained everything to him. When I responded with that statement, he got angry and was going to leave, before even having gotten started! When returning that day, we found the 'cut' pieces of glass tile left everywhere - on the floor, counter, garage floor. Nothing was picked up or cleaned up! The installation of tile was subpar to our expectations to say the least. He even cut a piece of our NEW wood cabinet trim to make room for the piece of tile and cut it too much and left a gap where they're shouldn't be! When we called Johnson's to complain the response basically was asking us what did we want them to do about it. They did send someone out to look at it and his response was that they'd never seen a worse job done. We had to repeatedly follow up with the store in order to get any answers. At that point, the saleswoman should've been helping is, but did not do anything at all. But they certainly didn't waste any time with billing us and calling to remind us of the balance owed. It was ironic that we got no response or assistance when it came to customer service on the poor kitchen tile job, but they certainly were responsive when it came to the bill! We would NEVER recommend this place, especially the installer, Jesse or the saleswoman.

Love our new floors, installer was great! Some confusion with our sales person and different quotes were given but it all worked out.

We came in the back entry and someone came back & greeted us right away. The salesperson asked what we were looking for & if we needed help, then left us alone -- checking back from time to time -- until we were ready to talk. No pressure, professional, well-organized display areas.

Our experience was great from beginning to end. Opal was very helpful and knowledgeable in finding the type and color of carpet I was looking for. The installers did a great job and were done in 3 hrs. We are very pleased with the results.

We purchased Johnson Shaw carpet a few years back from Johnson Carpet in Grandville. When the carpet started to wear, I called and a representative and a representative from Shaw came out and told me that it was probably worn because of a flaw in the carpet. Johnson and Shaw gave us back our money and then we purchased a better quality carpet from Johnson Carpet (which I believe is also Shaw carpet) about a year ago and added $3,000+ to purchase better carpet or so we thought. It is already showing wear so I contacted my representative who sold me the carpet and let her know about the wear and tear. She told me that I needed to get the carpet cleaned by a professional and also to wear slippers when walking on my carpet.
Really??? She said the oil from your feet breaks down the fibers. The carpet is not even 2 years old. I worked with wonderful people at Johnson but I would not recommend their carpet.

After receiving a quote from another place i checked out Johnsons Carpet. They were very nice snd even referred me to there outlet store.

Dealing with Johnson's for floor installation was an all around great experience. Very professional and attentive in all details. Installer did the job like it was his own house...excellent work. Would use Johnson's again in the future and are recommending all our friends to as well.

A little over a year ago we purchased vinyl for our kitchen and were very pleased with the outcome, so when we had a water disaster in our basement this Spring we went back to Johnson's for replacement carpet. Once again the professionals there were quickly and efficiently on it (even though we were in the depths of the Covid Pandemic). The new carpet made the rest of the house look old and dated, so back to Johnson's to purchase carpet for the rest of the house. Thanks so much to Jenny H. (our salesperson) and everyone else involved. Every room in our home better than ever. We could not be more happy.

Perfect experience. The sales people listened to us, didn't try to convince us to do or buy anything we weren't interested in, recommended lots of options according to our preferences. Installers were incredibly professional, fast, and so precise. They installed around tile, wood, fireplaces, banisters, and all of it looks amazing. I couldn't be happier and will gladly use their services again!

Ivona was very nice very helpful in helping me make my decision. Front desk lady was so sweet. Installers all were quick nice and did a great job overall.

Purchased what we thought to be good carpet only to find out after 4 years that it's completely shot. They sent someone out to look at it and said the warranty is void because we did not clean it twice per year. We were unaware of that stipulation. They have not returned my wife's phone calls since they sent someone out. We did our basement with Ken at Carpet Direct and got a quality product and great customer service.

Gave us alot of good information about what carpets would work best for our home and lifestyle.

The people I dealt with at Johnson Carpet were kind, considerate and informed.

Product took too long to deliver. Carpet installed scratched up all of my baseboards. A representative was sent out to review the damage. They used a wood polishing product to get rid of the scratch marks. I do feel however this is just a band aid. I have used this company for several years without any issues. Sad to say this is my last time to do business with them as the solution they gave me is not really a permanent one.

We used Johnson Carpet One Flooring when we built a new home 25 years ago. We downsized to a condo recently and considered removing the old carpet and installing new flooring ourselves (we installed flooring ourselves 8 years ago so figured why not?)
Well we are 8 years older and soon started saying, why do we want to spend hours doing it ourselves! We checked a few other places, and then one day I drove by Johnson and decided to stop in. We are so glad I did! Jenny helped us pick out samples to take home. In no time our basement was measured and a few weeks later we were on the schedule. Was scheduled for 3 days, but by noon on the second day the old carpet was gone and new flooring and molding was installed. Adam did a great job! Clearly very experienced! Yes, it cost more then doing it ourselves, but it was worth it!

Great service all the way around! Thankful for professionalism!
