Just had entire 2nd floor carpet replaced with hardwood. The folks ( Tom and Chris) at River City were awesome, everything went as planned and the floors look GREAT. Also, the installers did a fantastic job and were very detailed and professional.
Overall, if you want a fair price, quality floor and workmanship go to River City Flooring!

The flooring I used from River City Flooring was outstanding. I looked at the big box stores for options but the quality and service offered by Chris Brumley and his team were outstanding. I used a 3/8" pre-finished engineered hardwood in a home that I was renovating for our daughter. Of all the things I did to the home (and I spent 7 months renovating this house), the flooring was by far the biggest impact item. I really liked the consistency of the boards also. They all were manufactured well so that the tongue and groove went together seamlessly. My wife and I laid about 1200 sq ft within 5 days. River City has a very knowledgeable staff, they are friendly and they back their products. I will be back!!!

Great selection and service! Everyone who I worked with at River City (in my home and in the showroom) was professional, polite and kind. The installation of carpet on my stairs was a tricky job but the installer spent the time to make sure it was done correctly. The finished product looks great. Thank you all !!

RCF had an entire first floor to refinish. Some of the flooring was very weathered, other areas not so much. They did a great job in removing and replacing furniture, sanding, staining, and sealing the floor. They were on time and completed the job on schedule

I've been impressed with everyone I've been in contact with from RiverCity Flooring. Dan was knowledgeable and helpful when deciding on beautiful solid birch flooring. Their pricing was not cheap but very reasonable. Everyone was prompt and professional. They arrived at the scheduled time, every time!!! What really BLEW ME AWAY me was the installer Walt. Walt's an artist and his canvas is flooring. He took the time to blend the flooring perfectly and complete all the details. It's obvious that he takes great pride in his work. Walt and his team went above and beyond and I couldn't be happier with the results!

I have nothing but praise for River City Flooring and their staff. We had old carpet removed; hardwood installed; existing wood sanded and the entire floor refinished. This was a big project that took about three weeks. The floors are beautiful!! The old and the new match perfectly. The River City Staff was polite, trustworthy, managed all the details and even texted us photos of the progress. They are the best!

I attempted to refinish my hardwood floors myself and it turned out to be a disaster. Chris from river city flooring came out quickly when I was requesting quotes. A few others mocked me slightly for how they turned out (too much stain and I didn't wipe it off). Chris was the only one to tell me "hey, I've been here before, too. We can take care of it." Many other flooring companies were giving a 6 week lead time or longer but River City Flooring managed to get me on their schedule within 2 weeks. Amazing. My situation was unique (~400sqft) but it was greatly appreciated.

When it came time the professionals were just that: professional. They were always punctual and definitely a master at their crafts (Jerry, Tim, and Jamie). The floors turned out incredible and I couldn't be happier. I'll be using them in the future instead of trying them myself...again.

We had nothing but exceptional service from RCF. They were so quick and efficient in installing our kitchen floor that we called them back to place new carpet in our basement. Both rooms look fantastic!

I recently had a bedroom and closet redone with new hardwood flooring to match the rest of my condo, after a major water leak. Dan in sales was wonderful and answered all of my questions, and always got back to me very promptly. He knew I was on a tight deadline to have the work completed since I was listing my condo for sale soon. The floor installers were very professional and did a great job with everything - the new flooring looks fantastic! They also were careful with moving my furniture and making sure nothing was damaged or scratched. Thanks River City!

We had a concern about our existing oak hardwood floor when we decided to completely renovate our kitchen. After the old galley kitchen was removed , we needed to add about 100 sq. ft of flooring and have it match what was already there. River City was able to add the additional flooring, complete with the walnut pegs at the end of each board. The floor matches perfectly and looks like it has always been there. Excellent work!!

Terrific selection with a variety of price points to work with. Chris, the owner, was extremely helpful when I came in to the showroom to select samples. I was able to take large samples home to see in the space for a couple days in various lighting before making my selection. A fantastic sale price was the icing on the cake! I would recommend and use River City Flooring again!

The flooring turned out beautifully. They did a great job working with the brick facade we put in. I really appreciate the guys who did the work. They held furniture up so that I could put felt pads on the bottoms of everything and helped me lift everything and put the room back together.

My only issues:
They were a bit off on the estimate for putting it in because they didn't consider the trim would take longer to get than the flooring. (small thing)

They left a threshold off because they had measured incorrectly.
I was contacted by Dana and she kept insisting that I pay before the job was 100% finished, but Dan the sales guy sorted the situation out.

River City refinished the hardwood floors in my house in February 2016 and did an excellent job. They were easy to work with and made sure I was completely satisfied with their work!

The product did just what was said it would do and it causes the rest of the remodel to come together and is complete.

Totally happy with my sand and finish hardwood floors from River City! My salesman Richie was fabulous and all crew members were super. My floors look wonderful!!!

I can't recommend these guys enough! We had pre-finished hard wood floors installed on our 2nd floor- it looks fantastic! Chris was great to work with, Andrew and the twins did an excellent job with installation, and the price was very fair. Will definitely use them again.

We used Rivercity Flooring twice and had a great experience both times. Chris, (the Owner) spent an hour with us explaining all the options, as we DIY and installed the flooring ourselves. Overall, we installed around 2000 sq. ft of Acacia hardwood and we love it! When we needed help learning a new installation method, Chris came to our home on the day before Thanksgiving to demonstrate the process. You can't beat the price and service, and this a great way to support a local business vs. "big box" stores. I highly recommend.

Billy, the owner, and Jeremy, a flooring installer, at River City Flooring were able to repair some damaged boards on my engineered wood floor at considerable savings. All of the other flooring companies that I had contacted said the only thing that could be done was to replace the entire 1,000 sq. ft. floor. Using his considerable experience and expertise, Jeremy was able to repair only the damaged boards. I highly recommend the folks at River City for your flooring needs

Took off a morning from work to have River City quote sanding and finishing a floor that had been water damaged. They told me since it was an engineered wood it could not be sanded and would need to be replaced. This jived with what another company had told me and had quoted replacement. Asked River City to go ahead and quote replacing the floor with a like for like replacement. Tom, the sales manager, took my email and stayed around and took measurements of the entire floor. After 5 days I never received a quote. When I called Tom back he said he was waiting on me to come into the showroom and pick out a floor. Told him I just wanted him to quote a like for like replacement because that is all insurance was going to pay. He said he didn t want to take the time to quote if the insurance company was going to send out their own adjuster and that I should call the insurance company first and let them know 2 companies are stating the floor will need to be replaced. I did this in order to appease him and so he didn t feel like I was wasting his time. My insurance company told me to just go ahead and send the two quotes in, one the other flooring company had returned in 2 day and of course the other one I was still wait on from River City Flooring. So I called Tom back after the weekend had passed and told him the insurance company wanted quotes. He didn t know this, but he had a fairly good shot of getting the business as the other company apparently had a reputation of being more expensive. Instead of quoting he insisted he couldn t as there are over 500 different varieties of floors and I would need to come to his showroom and select which one. Told him I just wanted a like for like replacement. Again he said he couldn t quote because he didn t know if he would be higher or lower than the other company because didn t know what kind of floor they were quoting. He even asked if I could send him the competitor s quote which I said no. I told him when I take my car to the body shop, I as a customer don t specify the paint brand or type, and that I expect to get the car back looking like it did before the incident and I was asking for the same here with the floor. He couldn t seem to understand this analogy and continued to argue with me. Told him I was done, I felt like I had wasted my time, and it was almost like he didn t even want the business. I asked to speak to the manager and he responded back that he was the manger and told me River City Flooring wasn t the right company for me; the only thing he said that even made sense, and then hung up on me. I called back, he answered, and I asked for his boss and he said the owner was out of town. Told him I would be contacting the owner, not because I would do business with this company now, but to let him know how difficult his sales manger was making getting a potential sale. If it was this difficult getting them to finish a quote, could only imagine how difficult it would have been if they had got the job. Huge waste of time... certainly do not recommend.

Jeremy was our crew leader and his assistant was Dallas - they were both awesome. I am over the moon in love with our floors- they look fabulous. Jeremy had 4 areas that he had to repair due to previous water damage - he is a perfectionist and professional he never once acted discouraged as this did set them back almost an entire day with repairs, he just made us feel as if this was all part of the job, he has excellent customer service skills and Rivercity Flooring is very fortunate to have an employee of his caliber representing their company. I ve had River City Flooring out at our facility on two different occasions. They have installed roughly 7,000 square feet of flooring here at Independent Rough Terrain Center in Cibolo Tx. They are very responsive and have completed the work in a timely manner. I will be using their services at our facility in the near future and highly recommend them for your future flooring projects.

I was very happy with my experiences at River City Flooring, from the initial time spent picking out our flooring, to the install and the clean up each day when installer was finished. I feel that the Installer did an excellent job and was very conscientious and I was well pleased.

I had a wonderful experience with river city. Superb customer service and pricing, and a quality product! I originally thought they only did hardwood, but they have a wide carpet collection as well, and we are so pleased with our selection. We wanted to have carpet installed in a tight window between our closing and moving day for our new home. They were able to accommodate our tight timing and did a great job!

Happy to give them another star after final pricing but not as competitive as some other places. Everyone I did speak with there was very nice, most certainly helpful and responsive unlike some other stores!

I contacted River City in a bind during the covid restrictions, needing three bedrooms carpeted in a narrow window of time. They delivered samples to my wife's work, were able to schedule on the day needed, and delivered exactly as promised. The install crew did an excellent job and left everything clean when they were done, even hauling off the carpet I had tore out. I have and will continue to recommend them to others.

I wish I could give more than a five star rating to River City Flooring and their entire team. I had my hardwood floor refinished, and I cannot sing their praises enough. The job turned out AMAZING. They do beautiful jobs on refinishing floors the best I've ever seen

Rivercity Flooring did an outstanding job on our hardwood installation for the entire first floor including the powder room. The staff provided excellent service with prompt arrival each day. From the tear out to the move in, they were available with assistance and professional advice. The entire project was completed during winter weather. The floors were expertly sanded, and the color was applied perfectly. Expert color recommendations matched the cabinets and wall colors. Other decorating companies have remarked on the quality installation after they have seen the results. I highly recommend this flooring company for extensive hardwood flooring projects.

They did a terrific job! 433sq. Ft. Installed in 6hours including removing old carpet and pad and our furniture. The installers were very efficient,polite and hauled away every speck of trash. I'm going to use them again soon.

Not enough good to say about River City Flooring. Price beat the competitors. Scheduling faster than competitors. Install crew was nothing but polite, courteous, and timely. They worked fast and were very thorough, and cleaned up perfectly after they were done. 10/10, A++, would use again in a heartbeat.

An exceptional group with talent, determination and a will to see our project a success, which included added new hardwood to one room, sanding three rooms, stain and seal in only five days!!!! However, Suad took our floors to another level when he blended the proper color stains to match our interest and the floors cane out more BEAUTIFUL than anticipated!!!! I WILL recommend to anyone interested in vesting your hardwood flooring project to go see River City and they will bend over backwards to make your project a success.

I will never come buy at this place because i brought a sample of the floor that i wanted and when they brought it it was a different color and when i came to return it, they told me i had to pay 25% and it was thier error not mine and another person came to talk to me, not the person that made my order.They can't sell you something that you didn't order.And still like that with the sample i brought thet ordered it wrong.
Supposably they are experts in flooring and i brought a sample and thay said what color is it.

Had our basement carpet laid by River City Flooring. The finished product is excellent, much better than we had before. However, most impressive was the responsiveness of Dan (sales professional), Tom (sales manager), and Chris (owner). We had an unexpected installation issue and those gentlemen took responsibility, rose to the occasion, and made it right for us. Businesses are quick to advertise that they stand by their work and won't negotiate or compromise customer service. In the event an issue arises, I've wondered if those same companies would remain true to their word. This company does! Customer service and consultation was excellent, follow through are equally impressive. We prefer to buy local when possible. River City Flooring beats the price of bigger retailers, with superior service and personal attention. Do yourself a favor and start your flooring search here. You won't have to look any further.

will never buy here again, they didn't order floor on Tuesday as they said they would, was orderd on Thursday so didn't get floor on Friday as promised , so I could not get it done over weekend , floor comes in Monday but 1/4 round not ready till tues. what a joke!!!! should have got it at lowes it was cheaper and in stock but wanted to buy local and it got me in the butt, never again!!!

This is the best place to buy floors!! I went in not knowing what we wanted and their employee John was very helpful. He told us what was good what wasn't so good, what to stay away from and what to buy. I came out there with the best floor ever!! Will recommend to everyone I know.

The owner is great! We bought our floors in 2015 from River City and they have held up great. We had an issue with our threshold and they came out and fixed with no hassle. I definitely recommend getting floors from River City Flooring as they wont let you down. Family owned and very helpful! Will continue to use them in the future for all our floor needs!

Highly disappointed with Rivercity Flooring (RCF). The company has a lot of room for growth in customer service and efficiency. Here are the reasons I was disappointed:

- The customer has to continuously remind RFC what work needs done on a project and tell them (several times) which areas they forget to do
- RFC expects the customer to clean up after their installer
- RFC has NO supervision of its installer, so the customer has to become the supervisor
- RFC does not communicate with the floor installer or vice versa, again making the customer have to supervise

When I first met with the people of RCF they were very friendly, responsive, and seemed to go the extra mile which is why I decided to go with them in the first place. I did not know that this stops once the sale is made.

The first issue arose after the orders were put in, I was notified the supplier did not have enough of the flooring. I understand these things happen and, while I would have liked to have known this ahead of time, we decided to have the floors laid in two phases.

The rest of the issues come up when the floors are laid. RCF has a younger crew of installers who are unsupervised by RCF. At first it did not seem to be an issue until I was told they were done with the first phase. When I looked at the work they had done I noticed they forgot to do entire areas (like my laundry room). When I asked RCF about it I was told RCF just forgot to communicate that. But I had to be the one to voice this as RCF never sent someone over to ensure the quality of the work.

In my basement, I found there were exposed wires on the ground where the carpet had been. I had to inquire four times why these were exposed and what would be done with it only to get a call WEEKS later from the installer saying they didn't know what the wires went to and I had to take care of it. All I knew, there weren't exposed wires before and there is now. Either way, I had to repeatedly ask about the wires and had I never asked about them, they never would have been brought up.

Then when the first phase was "done" I saw there were huge chips taken out of the paint on my banister along with several scuffs on the wall, both of which I had a painter do a few weeks prior. These were going to be ignored until I asked for it to be fixed.

I brought up the fact that there was still a mess of dust left behind by the installers and was informed that it is the customer's job to clean up after the installer.

As the second phase came about, it became difficult to get RCF to schedule a date to do the install, so I hired someone else who communicates, fixes their mistakes, and cleans up after themselves to professional install the floors.

This is the first time I have ever hired a contractor who expects the customer to be a project supervisor.

Bottom line, if you want to be a customer instead of a foreman, go with a different company.

Not a better flooring company in this state! We have used them in the past and they never disappoint. Andrew and John (I think was name)- were exceptional- extremely professional and courteous. Super efficient and finished the job meticulously and in record time. Floors are absolutely gorgeous :)
