The best department store in London hands down. Everything you want served by nice people not the snobs at the other big name dept stores. Also has a superb cafe on the 5th floor with panoramic views .
With so many people moving to online ordering the shops are noticeably quieter. So a trip to JLP is a pleasant experience and the knowledgeable staff can listen to your needs and make good suggestions. Drop by before the Amazon and Ebay morons kill the place.

Great store with amazing service. There is there very nice children section. I dare to say than it is better than whole Disney store. I really like beauty and fragrance department. There is lovely home department area too.

One place to be on your Oxford Street visit list, a good store with a wide variety of goods, fashion, household furniture, electrical etc and a decent cafe with a wide selection of cakes. Easy to navigate around.

Confirmed. John Lewis customer service is still excellent. The young man on the watches counter who helped me with my Mondaine watch problem today was a credit to John Lewis Partnership.
Wanted to buy a wireless mouse. Many were wrongly priced. Cashiers saved the day and price eventually paid was cheap. Two years guarantee good. Overall 3 stars but the overall experience has slipped. No longer top notch.
Waited 10 minutes in the line to exchange money and only 1 person in front of me. On that 7th minute, i told them and they acknowledge that waiting time is too long but they wont open another counter. A lot of staff but the punctuality is poor and the service too. Last time I go there for exchange money.

John Lewis standards are higher than anyone elses. That is why it is such a reliable and rewarding shopping experience.
A large and well-stocked store. Articles from many categories, divided into precise sections. For women; men; children. Articles for the home, etc. Prices quite affordable. There are things cheaper own companies and exclusive products. I recommend to all concerned.
Great selection of brands. Good for beauty, clothes, home products, etc. Branch of Waitrose in the basement.
You can get nearly everything here. Head up to the John Lewis cafe to get a birds eye view of the bustling Oxford Street below.

I m not sure if this is the flagship store for the UK but it is certainly a massive store with 6 or 7 floors. It occupies a prime position on one of the busiest streets in London

Not what it once was.... disappointing they now charge for delivery to the store and just called to see if a product I've seen online is in stock in the shop - they said their system shows that it's in stock and chances are it is in the shop however they cannot confirm it will be there. Finding this very unhelpful as a response to be honest as the whole reason I called was to avoid an unnecessary trip to their store...
John Lewis is not the store it used to be. I am not surprised at loss of profits. The first floor looks like a market place, now most things are J. L. label and poor quality.
Would be better if they were nicer to disabled customers at tills especially 1st floor.

John Lewis is hands down the BEST retail chain in the UK. Their customer service is without any doubt the best. However lately I'm noticing that the quality of the clothing assortment is sensibly diminishing.

Layout during Christmas is a bit confusing (e.g. a couple of parts are blocked off, such as for Santa's grotto-type installations) and you don't know it until you try to round the corner). Most of the staff continue to be human and helpful.
I was here at 8pm 6th july 2018 and they were closing. Although the website says it closes at 9pm
They have one of the best Customer Service team in head office, compared to other departments stores. I can't say the same about my instore experience.
It usually takes awhile to find someone to assist me, I guess it might me because they are short staff or something.It would be amazing if the same level of service was mirrored by their stores.

Went in J Lewis Oxford street today, to the luggage department. I was there to find a pull along trolley. Two very helpful and friendly men in that dept helped me pick the right trolley and could not have been more helpful. Well done J Lewis. Good customer service makes all the difference.

The largest John Lewis store I have ever been in with a wide range. The store looks dated compared to the newer stores and despite being large feels cramped and hard to navigate. There are cafes and restaurants on just about every floor catering to your every culinary whim.
