One of my favorite spots to stop for on Sunday. Breakfast all day. Great service but can get busy on the weekend. Average waiting time on a Sunday is 20- 35 minutes.

We just went there today and had a horrible experience. We waited for our food for an hour. On meal was missing half of the items. Another had the sides wrong. The waiter never once stopped by to check on us and we had to find someone to let them know we had an incorrect order. Very unenjoyable experience. Will never come here again.
Wow! It takes a lot to impress me. I took my kids here for breakfast and it was fantastic! The cheesy hash browns are great! Keep on doing great things Jensen's, I'll be back again!
Good soup & sandwich lunches, nice decor, but can get crowded and parking is a short walk away in a nearby free parking ramp, but it may be challenging if you need handicapped parking - there is some by the door but it is quite limited.
Fantastic restaurant. We eat here regularly. They fed my first "real" blueberry pancake!
We ve been here three times for breakfast and love it every time. Tonight we went with my in-laws because we knew it was the best! Dinner did not disappoint - the stroganoff and the halibut were delicious. Any issues we had were resolved quickly and thoroughly with admirable customer service. Can t say enough about this place.
Love it
Always interesting food, and always a bit busy! Sign of a great restaurant.
Great food and reasonable prices. Expect a wait on the weekends
Highly recommend the French Toast combo breakfast with has browns. The homemade maple syrup is amazing! Very attentive, friendly staff too.
I was expecting so much more for the price and how busy they are. Ordered Biscuits and gravy with eggs and such disappointment. My biscuits and gravy was cold! Had everyone at the table try them and everyone was shocked at how they weren't even warm. Then my scrambled eggs also cold, dry and crunchy like they were sitting out. The only good thing was my upgraded cheese hashbrowns. You'd think the food at minimum would be hot and fresh. Not worth it. Wouldn't recommend.
The first several times we dined here, my family loved everything about it.
In the last year or so, even though the food is quite excellent, the service has been pretty bad.
Went today, it took 20 minutes just to take our order. We had been seated at our table for exactly ONE HOUR by the time our food finally arrived, and that is unacceptable.
Our drinks sat empty for some time before being refilled.
I ordered my usual, Swedish pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, and today, there may have possibly been a total of 2 cut-up strawberries. Another member at our table got a noticeably smaller portion of breakfast potatoes.
It seemed like our waitress had way too many tables she was responsible for, so, I really do not blame her. (Although, I will add here that some of the waitresses we have had at this cafe have been really, really unpersonable and borderline rude)
I hope they step up their game, would hate to have to take them off our list.
Good food (pancake combo and black iced tea) in a well kept and relaxed environment. Also, service (courtesy of Nia) was polite, timely, and friendly.
Every trip to Minneapolis we get breakfast at Jensen's. Great food and service.
Solid, tasty food, good service and a cozy atmosphere
If only they had a bigger restaurant you wouldn't have to wait. The food was delicious and the service was excellent
Great food. Caramel roll was gigantic and equally tasty. A new favorite spot in the South metro.
Wonderful service, great food. We brought my wife's folks there and everybody was very happy with everything.
Tasty food and wonderful service!
We were traveling to the Minneapolis area to visit family and were looking for a good breakfast place. Jensen's fit the bill and more! The food was excellent and some of the dished on the menu were amazingly unique combinations of traditional comfort food!
We liked Jensen's so much we went back twice during the two days we were in the area. We will certainly be back again! Highly recommended
Great breakfast!! Go here once a week! Great service.
Great breakfast nook! The breakfast menu provided our whole family with something good to enjoy (biysbage 6 and 8). Staff is tremendous and very friendly, they had absolutely no problems with a stroller (for our 9 month old) rolling up to our table. The month christo was only average, and the lunch menu in general was the same. Stick with breakfast however, and you will be pleased! Stop by the winderfuk Ficus and Fig on your way out for some great shopping!
Probably the best breakfast and service I've ever had! Well worth the trip even if it's outta your way.
Thank you for just being great at everything you do. Cheesy potato and the syrup and jam are a must.
Just hit round 2 at Jensen"s cafe. Sorry plate almost gone before I could take a pic.
Haven't been to Jensen's in quite some time. I'm very glad we decided to stop in and have breakfast. The wait was about 10 minutes - no big deal at all, but the host let us know there was high top seating in the back that was seat yourself. We found plenty of open tables back there and was greeted right away by our server, Erin and had coffee within a few minutes of sitting down.
The food came out quickly and hot. Everything we had was delicious and we couldn't have been more happy with the service and the food. Definitely try the french toast, it's great!
We will absolutely be coming back more often.
Favorite breakfast spot! Good coffee and great pancakes. Staff is friendly and prompt. Definitely a highlight in Burnsville.
Excellent food clean good help no complaints for this place at all
Best breakfast I've had in town! The cheese hashbrowns are a dollar upgrade but definitely to die for! Very clean and friendly atmosphere and great value your the food I got. I highly recommend stopping and checking Jensen's out! You will not be disappointed!
No reservations for breakfast but it s worth the wait!
I love this place! It's one of our favorite spots, especially for breakfast. Yeah the wait can be long on weekends but they are efficient!
Food was good but slightly overpriced. Service was OK, but seemed to forget about us for a while.
One of our favorite breakfast places in Burnsville! Recommend going on a weekday or earlier than you'd think to on a weekend, as it gets busy and thus waits get long. This is well worth the wait though!
Good food. However, the bartender was a little slow.
Always a little bit of a wait to be seated, and parking in the ramp can be difficult at peak times. However, the service is good and once you do order, everything comes out relatively quickly!
Great place to take the kids if they can stand the wait.
Great breakfast food place. Lots of choices, all good. One of the few places in the Twin Cities to get the Monte Cristo. Yum!
Food, Staff, we're great and prices were fantastic.
Upgrading to the cheesy hash browns was definitely worth it. Biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were great. Portions were good, turned it into two meals.
I had the walleye. Was not very good, did not taste like walleye
Jensen's has been my go to brunch spot for several years! The wait can be long depending on the day and time of day but it is SO worth the wait!!! I've tried many of their different eggs Benedict, this last visit I tried their banana pancakes!!! So. Freaking. Good. And obviously so very fresh with the ripe banana slices you can see in the cake. Finished off with some eggs and sausage and I had to take most of the pancakes home because they are huge! Priced fairly, and the service was attentive.
This is my favorite breakfast restaurant in the state.
Visited this place for a burger and fries. The food was very good but the music was loud.
Excellent food and great service. I highly recommend it.
This used to be one of our favorite small business restaurants pre covid. They serve a breakfast all day that is great. Love the home made syrup. Post covid it's just been a little off and not quite the same. But still good.
It was crowded and definitely was not worth the 20 minute wait we had. Should've gone somewhere else.
I had the pork ribs and they were delicious, moist and tender, the prices are fair and the service is fast!
Good maple syrup. Might be a conspiracy to shop at the store next door as u wait on a table weekend was busy but not a crazy wait. Over I'd go again.
Good food and drinks but horrible customer service and even worse ticket time. When my food takes 40+ mins to come out and you tell me with attitude "it's been 20 mins since the order was put it and that's a normal ticket time" but I watched 2 other tables get their order before use when they came in 10-15 later. Oh and I have documentation of when we placed our order, I took a pic of the drinks when they came ;)
Great food, great service. Get the cheesy hashbrowns...totally worth it!
Had a kitchen sink scramble yesterday and it wrecked my system. spent a lot of time on the toilet the rest of the day. I have a pretty solid digestive system so I'm a little surprised. it looked good tasted okay, but was pretty spendy. obviously not worth the 13$ for the scramble to spend the day on the toilet. I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 because my coworkers enjoyed their waffles, pancakes and Rueben sandwich. part of me wonders if the kitchen sink scramble was literally prepared in the kitchen sink.
My family loves Jensen's for their enormous cinnamon nut roll! Today's service was sub par as we needed to ask for refills, didn't get the cinnamon roll before our other food (as requested), and all the patio umbrellas were spinning in the breeze (the crank to tighten umbrella post was stripped). To be fair, the patio got quite busy after we arrived and one gentleman appeared to be serving all tables. Our experience won't stop us from returning!
My wife and I were hunting for a new breakfast spot and stumbled upon Jensen's when doing a Google search. Their menu looked good, and had a lot of different options, so we drove to Burnsville and gave it a try.
It was okay. Nothing spectacular and probably not worth the 20 miniute drive and half hour wait time to be seated. It's also pretty crowded and there isn't much space between the tables.
This place is AMAZING! 5 Stars without a question. The food was beyond delicious and the customer service was impeccable! Our waitress was Sam and she was so sweet! Definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy. Will be back!
Very good food. Does get busy on weekends. I have had the stuff French toast. The canjun scrabble. Pancakes and ricotta pancakes. All good. The dinner and lunch items are also very good. Very homemade tasting.
This place always has such delicious breakfast. I love to get the stuffed French toast. My boyfriend got the blue cheese hamburger and he was quite pleased with his pick. I'd recommend this place most definitely. They are usually very busy so reservations are advised!
Swedish pancakes...the best in Twin Cities. So delicious!
I had eggs Benedict and it was good, I opted to have it on an English muffin instead of the pancake that it comes on!? The side of potatoes were good too and refillable Iced Tea, with lemon. I was too busy visiting my High School friend and More
Awesome.. our servers Sam was great and we tipped her accordingly!
Great Cafe. Awesome patio in the summer. I love the quesadillas and coffee!
Excellent food, Excellent service. Proud to have Jensen's in our community. We love to bring people visiting from out of town to Jensen's because we believe it is something worth showing off.
Love the Waffle and thickcut bacon. Plus very good Swedish pancakes. Always busy but worth the wait.
The food is good but the customer service isn t great. I was there over lunch and it was sunny and nice out so we asked to sit on the patio and the host first tried to tell us the patio was full. It was not there was three tables open including two that were ready to be seated. When I pointed that fact out she just handed me our menus and said seat yourself. We had taken a break from going there for a few years because of previous issues with customer service and I can see it s still the same old service as before. Original Pancake House is better and they have a new location off Nicollet Ave and County Road 42. The food AND the service are better than Jensen s.
Crazy good breakfast. Cheesy hashbrowns are a must-have.
Hands down the best pancake I've ever had. Plus the omelette had hash browns inside it! And the server was very good!
