Service is great, food is amazing. Always feel very welcome here.
Great food and service...Breakfast food was very good. My only issue was "parking" they have a very small lot with a parking ramp available if you dont mind a slight walk.
I've been here a couple times now. Once was busy. Both times service was quick and pleasant. Food was better the second time when it wasn't busy.
Jensen's Cafe is always a lovely local place to sit down and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. The prices are fair and the service is great. Even if there is a wait, you can enjoy complementary coffee and poke around in Ficus and Fig. I've never had a bad meal here and always love coming here, especially for breakfast. One feels as if they are sitting in a country kitchen waiting for a delicious home cooked meal. If you're looking for a great place to eat, Jensen's is a great choice.
Great breakfast food, good service. Only complaint: my bacon was burned.
No wait, the waitress was polite and also thoughtful. The food was wonderful. We would go back.
ALWAYS AWESOME great place to eat friendly staff great food
Very convenient and fast service. You can call ahead or get there and wait. The food is always delicious and filling.
Food poisoning alert! We used to be big fans of this restaurant, especially for breakfast. Earlier this winter I wanted to try an evening meal so we went there for burgers. Within an hour I was feeling ill and for the next 1 1/2 days was seriously taken down and out. I had not been so sick in decades. I did call management the next day and of course they initially tried to blame something else, but then promised to send a gift certificate, which they blew off and never sent. I do understand mistakes can happen, but it's a serious game when those mistakes play with our health and lives. I feel very strongly one should not have to pay for food that makes us deathly sick. We are done with Jensen's and wish to warn of their unacceptable management.
Great service and didnt mind my family and I spending way too much time talking. Also the breakfast butter maple syrup is awesome.
My fiance and I love this place. Great little corner restaurant to walk to from her apartment for a meal.
Great place to go. We sat at the bar and had some dinner. I ordered there Steak Bites dinner. It was fantastic!!
The menu is wide and very nice, inexpensive foods, great steak and seafood, couldn't be better.
Can't believe how good this place is! The stuffed french toast is outta this world, but everything this amazing!
I went in at 10:45 and asked for a table... i was told there was a 45 minute wait... as soon as i had waited a full hour, i asked about my table, and they decided to have us queued at 12:00... I decided to leave because after our name was queued, there was still a bloody wait. I understand that you guys are busy, but dont assume what time i would like to eat, because i waited for about and hour and a half, a complete waste of time, even thoigh i was sitting within earshot of the server...
We recently moved to Burnsville and we moved within walking distance of Jensen's. After seeing how busy it was on a daily basis we knew we had to try it. I had my heart set on an omelet but the waitress Kelly casually mentioned the word "homemade syrup." It was enough to cause me change my mind and order the blueberry pancakes. Oh.my.word. I come from a long line of breakfast fanatics and this, my friends, was the most delicious breakfast I've ever eaten. Wonderful!
New restaurant for me very busy, very few parking spots right by restaurant, a ramp not many steps away. Great breakfast!
Great food! Love the pancakes and the friendliness of Patricias, the person who waited on me. She always helps me with my "special" diet selections!
A great place to go for breakfast or lunch the waiter and waitress were wonderful Zac and Shelly
I love their stuffed french toast and cheesy hash browns. Hands down some of the best breakfast food ive ever had
Great breakfast choices and very filling. Big wait on Sunday morning but worth it! Park in the nearby free ramp as lot is small.
20 minute wait on Monday morning was well worth it. Great food!
I would have been 5 stars except for the wait, 45 mins for breakfast! The food was very good though and well worth the cost.
Worth the wait. Great food, make sure to get their homemade syrup to go
We went for breakfast. Excellent food!! Had the spinach & goat cheese omelet. YUM!!
Great food, excellent coffee, best servers in town!
Sure the food is significantly better than a Perkins or Dennys but honestly its really not worth the wait. We have been here numerous times and told 30 minute wait to end up waiting 60+ minutes.
The staff ia very nice but doesnt seem to understand the order in which people have been seated does matter. Waiting on a table of 5 that was just seated versus a table that has been waiting 45 minutes makes a big difference.
Service and food was lackluster. The servers were all talking to each other too much to actually serve us.
I have only been there for breakfast/brunch, but the food is all quality and at fair prices.
Adorable spot for breakfast or brunch! Delicious food and excellent service!
Really great food. We had a very nice server the last time too. Whole experience was great.
Very busy..we called ahead to get a table. If we hadn't the waiting would have been worth it.
The wait staff was friendly and the food was great. We will go there again.
The waitstaff is always so kind and prices are incredibly reasonable for the portions you get
We went here on a Sunday. They are only open until 3 on sundays so make note. I had the peaches n cream French toast combo with sausage and eggs. The mrs had a scramble. Both were delicious. She also had a body Mary which was ok but they also forgot to give her the beer back. They Male their own maple syrup which was good and jelly. There is a wait on Sunday but you can usually sit in the bar with out one. The service was ok but slower in the bar area. With tip it. Was 43 bucks...not bad a little over priced. There is free parking but not alot right next to the restaurant. We had to park kind of far away. We recommend this place for sure.
Was not happy at all it was very bland, tasteless will not go back.
Waited 40 minutes for my meal. Server forgot me. Didn't place my order. Finally walked out the door.
Awesome!!! Staff was very nice and polite. Food was very good.
Lots of eggs. Not a whole lot of meat.
But I came here for the memories and I still love it. This is a busy restaurant, and it's hard to get a table. Of course, that's because half the tables here are off limits. Thanks Walz.
Always excellent food, but terrible coffee.
The breakfast is excellent, I love the Belgian Waffle. Their whipped cream is incredible, as well as their butter maple syrup.
I'd happily pay more if it meant better coffee.
First I like Jensen's Cafe go all the time, the reason I gave a 1 star is for the service we received last week, first waitress was good food order and drinks right away. Never saw her again, had to go get own ketchup and new silverware ( dirty silverware) and go to bar myself for a refill . No one came around to see if we were good. Even when done no ticket after 15 min of finishing meal was just going to leave since no one cared, but did not have the heart. Went and talked to the Owner, could care less that that happened, shrugged his shoulders and had no time also. Good place but a no caring owner could be it's end if not careful.
Great breakfast combos stuffed french toast are the best
My family and I would go for breakfast pretty routinely, then the food quality dipped. I just went back for the first time in approx. 5 months and the food still isn't what it once was. The wait staff and butter/maple syrup are still awesome. Food (e.g. sausages and hashbrowns)just needs to be upgraded back to the old norm or there was a change in the kitchen; change back.
The coffee was good. The syrup was good. Otherwise, it was somewhat disappointing. The eggs were okay but the thick-cut bacon was limp. Then came the lemon ricotta pancakes. Really disappointing. The ricotta should make the pancakes really moist. Nope. The pancakes were dry and over cooked to the point of almost have a thin crust on the top and bottom. The butter maple syrup saved the day. Should I have given two stars?
Great food and great service! And the person who said a waffle with bacon is $15 is straight up lying. The menu is very reasonable
Love this place!! It is always busy. Best Swedish pancakes!!! Great atmosphere and service.
Excellent food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere.
Long wait for breakfast but worth it on Saturdays. The food is good. Loved the French toast.
Id give 6 stars if I could! Always packed, but superb service, food is always great, servers super friendly.
I wish I could 6 star this place!!! We loved everything there, and very nice service. Their homemade blue cheese and pancake syrup were so good!
Great place! Though it was busy for a snowy day, the service was great and food was amazing! Definitely coming back.
Great breakfast with many choices and great service.
The food was great, the service was great with the exception of a couple of mistakes in one order. The ambience was ok. The food prices were comparable to most other restaurants.
I've been to Jensen's many times and have never been disappointed. Yes, it's pretty standard brunch fare and the waits can be long. However, they have the best French toast in the State and their homemade maple syrup is amazing.
Delicious food! Great service! Breakfast appetizers!? Game changer. Had the Apple Cinnamon Bread with their apple syrup to start. Heavenly! Really recommend this place. We are new to town and it definitely did not disappoint. Our new Sunday brunch place.
