Always amazing staff whenever I come to drop something off they are super helpful!
Must have a current Jeffco address to receive services. So much for the homeless. SAD.
Very friendly and helpful. Been there 3 times, Always very appreciative when i leave. Even gave us a voucher to get our dog spayed...Sometimes a long wait, but when we needed help with food, they were a blessing
Kevin B, I'm sorry for your experience...the food that is picked up from most all stores is the day of expiration date as set on label, all labels are stamped with a date that is set by the Manufacturers for "Store Shelf Life" and does not constitute the actual date that the food is no longer good for consumption...most all cold storage foods are good 7-14 days or more past the "use by" / "sell by" / "best by" dates depending on what product it is! As a member of the (IKD) In Kind Donation Team, I have training from Food Bank of the Rockies and have myself worked in 2 different restaurants working double shifts for a years time, I spent 3 years working in different departments in a grocery store over the span of 3 1/2 years including stocker for dry goods, dairy and produce departments, I also spent 7 1/2 years at a bagged Ice Company, and my mother worked in the same restaurant for 28 years,...so I completely understand food safety, rotation of product, proper disposal of truly expired product that falls under the guidelines of our Food Rescue Operation, as does the rest of our IKD Team which are responsible for daily pickups for the Action Center as we abide by all food and safety policies, procedures and regulations. We also have volunteers daily sorting through dates on products as too not let anything slip through the cracks. If any one has any questions, about policies, procedures and regulations on our Food Rescue Program, please contact our IKD Team Manager at the Action Center for more details!

They try to do their best to help. They seemed a little overwhelmed, but I give him credit for the services they provide
This place offers many great, immediate resources to jefferson county residents in need.
Donate today if you can. They do important work for the less fortunate.
It's hard to give a place like this a rating of stars. I went with my sister (she's a client) it took three hours to go thru and get out. Nice people working the various windows.
They are always helpful I spend so much money there I should be part owner.lol I love walmart

Food bank is very nice and they have some amazing clothes in the clothing bank. Very efficient with getting you in and out.
My experiences here are always great until today. I was waiting for the food line to reopen and two other clients lit up their cigarettes in the doorway where I was standing. I walked away so the carbon monoxide and methane would not affect my service-connected diseases. The female popped off on me when I took my phone off my bike and snapped a photo of her. She was in a public space with no reasonable expectation of privacy. I was documenting her smoking in a restricted area. I told her that she does not know the law about privacy in Colorado. I told her I was keeping my mask on because I am in a vulnerable population. She was not wearing a mask or social distancing. Marcy, Marti (sp.) mentioned that she had several reasons for being at risk. She intentionally blew smoke in my face while we were leaning on the table while arguing; we were about 4 feet apart and I could smell the smoke through my mask. Coronavirus can be carried out of the body in the water vapor in the smoke. Smokers have impaired immune system and reduced lung capacity, so makes it easy to pass on the junk in their lungs if sick. The female was coughing into her hand. They also handle other people's lighters, cigarettes or glass pipes with fingers to their mouth without proper hand washing.
The other lost star is for the loud, condescending tone of the young lady checking in autos. She was bossing around the people standing in line without greeting us and walked over to the car that just pulled up. The young guys came right out after and helped us immediately.
A simply and truly wonderful organization.
I go out of my way to make sure I get my donations here whenever possible.
Staff is lovely and the volunteers are amazing!

This place isnt half bad. Some of the food is about to expire but you can get some really good stuff. Clothing is good not great or perfect but good. Everyday hygiene and house hold items are available. Much more things they can help with just check them out for yourself.
Great food bank, food and clothes house hold and hygiene great staff.
Can't sing the praises of the folks at Action Center enough! They were couteous, respectful of my situation, and 10 visits per year for food, clothing, household items is extremely kind and generous. They never made us feel bad for our situation, always there with a friendly smile.
You have to call ahead to make an appt. After an initial consult, which takes a little while, visits afterwards takes little time. If you know of families in need, or are in need of food assistance, baby goods, or household items, contact them today!

A wonderful place for people in need to get almost anything they could possibly need for free!
This is an amazingly helpful place. They are always looking for donations. They do have a donation drop off zone and they do not sell donations. Instead they give them to people in need for free. They have a food bank and a clothing bank as well as offer tents, sleeping bags, iron and ironing board, radios, clocks, blow dryer, curling or straightening iron. Bedding, pillows, hot plates,
They really do everything they can to help as much as possible.
Very good place to go when you need help with food and clothing. And they have a bunch of stuff that they can help you with
As a newly single mom, in a new city, with no job, and no income, I am SO grateful for the incredible people here. They have been instrumental in helping me get back on my feet after leaving an abusive marriage and moving half way across the country. They provided us with food we could eat, which is a challenge with 12 food allergies, an iron so I could look presentable and professional for job interviews, as well as a few items of clothes for my girls and I. Thank God for organizations like this. Everyone along the way, from the initial phone call clear to when I was leaving with a cart full of food, was SO loving, caring and helpful. Thank you Jeffco Action Center.
