This place is amazing. It literally is like being in a tree house with oceanviews. Brian was incredible and was so friendly and knowledgeable. Pedro at the restaurant was amazing. This place is great.

There is a restaurant and also a bar area. I went down to the bar area for lunch in order to be closer to the sand! The view is amazing. The food was good (I head seared ahi, parents had sandwiches), but service slow. It's a bit expensive for portions, but the location makes it worth it. The carrot cake dessert was amazing.

Ask for Richard the bartender, he is the best of the best. Makes some of the best drinks and always with a smile....ps ask him about his Martini glass.

The location is perfect, and we love staying right on the beach. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We stay here every year and recommend it highly.

Fantastic views, friendly and attentive staff. Here for a corporate event with Radio and Television Experts. The food was fantastic and the service is excellent. We will definitely return.

I didn't go to the resort but I went to the restaurant good food not a lot for the price but it's Laguna so it is to be expected.

My experience here was fantastic. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I have found this attitude in many other places but here there was something exceptionally genuine about it. This resort, although not new, was clean and well-maintained.
I did not eat in there restaurant so I can't give you an opinion but swimming on the beach, even at night and using the pool at all hours was very much appreciated. I would have given it five stars if not for the fact that the rooms do not have air conditioning. With the beautiful weather I had, and the room I had that did not matter however if you were here on an exceptionally hot day and or if you had one of the rooms that did not have cross ventilation, air-conditioning conditioning would be missed.
Still, I would highly recommend this to any friend or family coming to Laguna Beach.

Stayed for 7 nights during the summer. What a gorgeous resort. We will be back to visit, until next time.

I hated that I got stuffed in a corner room, but everything was nice and clean. I liked that they had a coffee shop right in the middle and the fire pits are a relaxing way to spend the evenings!

It was hot in the room. And there was no ac. But views were nice. Just expensive for no ac. They also put us in a handi cap room. With a small shower.

Upscale spot right on the water. Rooms are recently remodeled and pretty well done with a bunch of modern touches. Restaurants are really great, offering high quality atmosphere and ingredients. The pool is awesome and being able to walk easily between the surf and the pool made the location even more enjoyable.

They even put ear plugs in the room in case the waves crashing outside your windows are too loud. Classic.

Great view and location but rooms and common areas are dated and in need of renovations.

Love the outdoor patio and live music! I had the seasonal grilled peach pizza, and it was deliciously salty, sweet and cheesy. Our server Corey was wonderful!

Had a wonderful time visiting. I asked that they draw a picture of homer Simpson mixed with a unicorn and place it on my bed as a joke and they did it!

This place gave me a wonderful experience! Each room was in ocean view which made my vacation a superb! The staff was kind and very helpful in all aspects. They were knowledgeable and very willing to make sure things went well. The views are just awesome. Going to sleep to the sound of waves is simply peaceful, and if it s too much for you there are earplugs provided for you in the rooms

My husband and I went to Surf and Sand Resort for our 25th wedding anniversary. It is a beautiful and clean resort. The reason I m giving it only 3 stars is because our room was right over the very loud pool and we were awakened starting at 6:30a.m and basically throughout the morning by noise. Overall, we were very disappointed that we spent so much money for what turned out to be a far from relaxing experience.

Beautiful hotel. Views that were so amazing... never been so close to the water.. every staff member went above and beyond to accommodate us for my moms 74th b day.. room was clean, beds very comfortable even the pull out couch. I will definitely be back.. kiddos to Juan from security and Tom the manager

We spent some time at the bar overlooking the ocean. Service was great, the place was very clean and the food was delicious. The craft beer selection was decent and overall I would recommend to anyone visiting Laguna.

We went for my grandmother's 80th birthday dinner. They personalized the menu for us and the dinner was lovely. The food was amazing. My only issue was that they were not very diligent when it came to refilling glasses.

My wife and I spent a weekend at this resort in late March 2021. We usually stay at the Pelican or Montage in Orange County. We just wanted to try this place based on its location. We paid over $1,300 per night and got a room over-looking the ocean. When you pay that much, you expect the room to be clean, smell good, have robes and even slippers you can use. None of these were true about our room. I was very angry the first night we were there because I thought it was such a waste of money. What made this place acceptable was it's location, views, and the service from the people who work at this resort. If this place spent some money fixing their rooms, making them cleaner and newer, and provided what is usually expected of 5 star resorts (robes and slippers), they would destroy Pelican and Montage because of their location. It is ridiculous to pay over $1,000 per night and get a room that is old, dirty, and smells. The only reason I gave them a 4 star is the view we had off our very large balcony, and their service. We are going back to the OC in 3 weekends and we are going to stay at the Pelican instead. I was trying to find a new place to stay at in OC, but it did not work.

I went to their poolside bar, but the service was terrible. I had a waitress named Anastasia who was both rude and inattentive; she seemed high and drunk, and was rude to both me and my children. As long as they employ people like that, I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay.

The hotel is very nice don t get me wrong , but it s very old.. the view was stunning you could hear the waves through the window. But there was no ac in the room which made it very hot. I was told to open the door for fresh air . The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. I wouldn t stay here again . It s definitely a memorable experience with the view but not worth the money you spend .

The staff is polite, and very accommodating. Diane, at the concierge desk was extraordinary in finding a difficult-to-locate item, plus called various stores for availability, price, hours, address, etc.; unparalleled professionalism.

No A/C, which isn't terrible I guess, but a great many guests had their doors open into the wee hours on our floor. Splashes breakfast food was oversalted, but the staff was very nice. Spa was amazing. Request Brielle or Carol Ann. Best part of our stay...

Location was great as we were right on the ocean..but the food was way way overpriced,not as described or pictured and not good quality at all.When I complained about it,check out person could care less. Spent 60.00 on a breakfast of toast,small portion of berries and two moon milks that were not as pictured at all..last day ate at a coffee shop down the street where the food was amazing and two full meals for the price of our berries! Also no room to put any of our shower stuff in the shower, not smartly designed for a woman.

There is NO AC. How could a highly priced hotel have NO AC in hot and humid CA?? At least, they should post it on their website. Spent a very uncomfortable night due to lack of AC!

Pricey but it's 5 star all the way and sits on the water in Laguna Beach. Everything is top notch. The concierge staff is amazing. The sweetest 2 Brit girls....Sandra and Diane will always help you find your way around town too

My wife and I went to Surf and Sand to have dinner at Splashes. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly. As for Splashes itself, we will definitely be returning. The atmosphere, the seats and the view alone were amazing! We sat in the main dining room in the center table that looked out towards the sea. It had a single elegant candle and with the dim lighting made for a very romantic meal. As for what we ordered, I would highly recommend the Lobster Bisque the Octopus appetizers. For our main entree we shared the ravioli, which is large enough for two people. The puree underneath it and inside was very light and airy. Overall, our experience at Surf and Sand and Splashes was very good. We will ba back for more. Buen provecho!

High class resort and hotel. restaurant that features gorgeous beachfront Vistas while you dine. After eating and drinks you can use one of the Resort's many beach access stairways or pamper yourself with one of the mini spa treatments offered. I myself partook of a 50-minute massage and afterwards had a very nice steam in the steam room.

Wow. Let s just first start by saying that this place is like a concrete jungle on the beach. There is ZERO cell Phone coverage in a room that cost $550. The room smelled like mildew , it felt worse than summer camp when i was growing up.

The food was blah at the restaurant , the service was slow, we complained to the management staff but since we only had a economy room , our complaints were not addressed.

Our final bill was over $700 for one night and we cancelled the remaining 3 days and left this beach front , overpriced , jail.

Please try and avoid. There are many better alternatives.

The team at the Surf and Sand go out of their way to make every moment here special. I say team because they are a well-oiled machine!
The accommodations are well-maintained and contain all the amenities one could hope for. The food is exceptional, only exceeded by the very warm wait staff.
The Beach attendants are very attentive and the location could not be better. Great walking!

So walking under this place in laguna I have wanted to stay here for years. Finally we did it. First of all let me say that stuff is great, check in and out check was smooth and valet was great. The rooms however are pretty dated, they have a dusty smell and if you run your finger over the counter or tables there is dust that comes off.

If you do not like goat cheese there are not a lot of things on the menu you will like for room service it seems like they are really really into goat cheese.

I don t think I would stay here again.
