Jim's group catered a event of mine to launch some of my new photography. His staff was great! Servers were well dressed. Menu was imaginative and delicious. He is a hell of a nice guy and I highly recommend him!

Jim and Jeff truly are the best! My fiance and I used the "JJ's" to plan and cater our wedding, and I couldn't be more pleased. They really care about you throughout the entire process and do such a great job personalizing your event down to the "T"! Can't wait until my wedding day to see how everything comes together!! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU Jim Benton of Houston!!

We had our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at McGovern Centennial gardens. We searched for a caterer that could help us with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour. After meeting with Lavada, they helped us put together a plan and menu that would best fit our needs. The tasting was at their beautiful office where we were spoiled by the chef with wine and our selected hors d oeuvres. We ended up ordering the Indian beef skewers, goat cheese palmiers, mini empanadas, meatless meatballs, and mini crab cakes. Everything was delicious! On the wedding day, they had servers walking around with food, water, and sparkling lemonade.
Jim Benton and his team clearly have experience catering large and upscale events. We were so glad they took on our small cocktail hour with so much attention to detail and made us feel so special on our wedding day!
Lavada was the sweetest! She had experience working with McGovern Centennial Gardens, so when my coordinator cancelled, she kindly sent me recommendations and helped in any way she could!

This place is Jim Benton of Houston without Jim. Jim's husband Jeff is the new owner. According to Jim, Jeff is the biggest reason Jim Benton had to close its doors and consider bancruptcy. Jeffs lack of experience speaks loudly when he sits in the office taking webinars while the reinvented company only remains alive because Covid-19 allowed access to government backed loans that mostly got used mostly to pay the debts and IRS from Jim Benton of Houston. Find someone else who has fresh ideas and an exciting perspective. jbh Catering isnt even worthy of being mentioned in the same breath of Jim Benton of Houston.
