Based on my interactions with Mike Sandlin I would certainly never consider buying a home from J B Sandlin Homes. Mike was unable to have a respectful conversation about a challenging situation, and he elected to hang up on me instead.

After meeting with Sandlin Homes team members on multiple occasions and visiting one of their spec homes, we knew that they were the perfect match to build our family s home. It was a great experience and we would build with them again if we had the opportunity. When speaking with friends I have already recommended Sandlin. We were very happy with the workmanship and build quality and if ever there was an issue it was sorted and fixed. We did have a few things that needed resolving but everyone at Sandlin was great with their communication, organized in their approach, and professional at all times. Our Customer Service Consultant provided a great customer experience and always responded to inquiries promptly and with care and attention to detail. Thank you Sandlin, we are really enjoying our new family home.

Being a first time home buyer, I didn t know where to start. Sandlin helped me build my home. They were there from the beginning until the end. They have so many beautiful homes and floor plans to choose from that choosing the right one was a hard decision to make. I can t wait to build my next home with Sandlin Homes!

We loved our first Sandlin home so much, when we were ready to build larger we went directly to them for our next home as well. Their attention to detail is amazing and we get compliments from everyone on the beauty and quality of our home! I've read other reviews and I'll be honest that we had a short punch list after closing, and every single issue was addressed efficiently and quickly. Before the one year warranty ended we had a home inspection completed for peace of mind and the inspector complimented the craftsmanship of our home. There were literally three minor things he could come up with that were again addressed without question. I am a 'real' homebuilder that has no affiliation to Sandlin, I am just extremely happy with the process and product and would use them again if we decide to build.

As an interior designer myself, the decorator services are the best I have ever seen.

This is my first time having to write a review good or bad... My wife and I decided to purchase with Sandlin homes because most of the homes we've looked at had multiple offers. Needles to say this experience with them by far is the worst ever. All they do is lie! Move in was 4 months late(which I understand but 4 entire months). The family across form us backed out because of the many issues with their home.The address still isnt validated,No internet until a few weeks ago.The Builder is careless and the work is poor quality. Our floors are coming up,paint is chipped,doors falling off the hinges,and not to mention the garage door had about 10 missing screws but we just found that out. I have much more to say but stay away from SANDLIN HOMES! (excuse typos) I'm a real Buyer and this is a real review!

Like others have said, shoddy craftsmanship combined with poor post-sale warranty work is very common. I have heard from several neighbors complaining of the same in my neighborhood. I could laundry list the things I've found but the worst defect is the cheap/watered down concrete from their subcontractor, it cracked badly in the driveway, garage, front sidewalk, etc. just a few yrs after moving in.

Our brand new home had a shower leak that was under warranty but they refused to fix it. If you are thinking of using them as your home builder please think twice.

I am building a home on a lot that I previously bought. Krissy and Jerrod were very helpful. Jerrod gave me a lot of advice of how to change the standard floor to meet my needs. Krissy helped with getting through the process even with the things that are normally outside of her responsibility. I am very much looking forward to seeing the house when it is built.

We had a great experience with Sandlin Homes! Brian Bublitz went above and beyond helping us with any needs that came up. Would definitely build again with Sandlin!

We unfortunately had a horrible experience with Sadlin Homes. The delay and miss communication or Lack there of, we ended up Terminating Our Contract with them.

Very nice house......Stated living in the new home since oct.

We bought a quick move-in home in the Mountain Hollow subdivision. We are charged an HOA fee that we are expected to pay but we get nothing in return. In other communities the HOA is used to keep the community maintained and clean (lawn service, trash that mysteriously appears in your yard, decorations during the holidays). The materials used for the interior are not quality materials. Also, it's extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone when there are problems that need fixing despite the warranties. I wish i would've looked at the more honest reviews before buying. Save yourself some time and spend your money elsewhere.

Sandlin can be describe in two words. High Integrity! They are Customer Focus. My experience with them were simply the BEST! It exemplified why they have been serving this community for over 61 years! They are the Benchmark of Builders. There is Teamwork and Accountability at every level. If you Dare To Dream of owning a new home, Sandlin Homes is the place to make that dream come true!

Great options and even better quality and attention to detail. That is hard to come by with other builders. Would build again and again with Sandlin!

On June 30th, we signed a contract to build a home in Justin, Texas, and we absolutely loved the floor plan. However, we had some unforeseen circumstances due to family and location, and we chose not to proceed with the home based on our family needs. On July 2nd, we receive confirmation about the contract, and we received a congratulations e-mail on the purchase of our home. On July 7th, I reached out to the sales agent to inform him of our decision to cancel the contract. He promptly did a follow-up, and he stated that he would send a request to the corporate office to provide us a cancellation form to sign. He also suggested to view some other floor plans, but we were still concerned about the distance from my father and his medical needs. On July 10th, I followed up with him to check the status, and he stated that he had not received any information from the corporate office, which he stated that he would reach out when he received the form from the corporate office. On July 18th, I sent another text to the sales agent checking on the status of the cancellation form, and he shared with me that he had not received the form from the corporate office yet. He stated that he would send for our signatures when he received it. On July 24th, I sent an e-mail to the corporate office asking for the issue to be resolved quickly, and I did not receive a response from the corporate office. Therefore, I called the corporate office, and I spoke to a nice woman that advised me that she could have his direct manager call me back. However, this never occurred. On July 29th, the sales agent reached out to us to share there was a mix up in the corporate office, and they are currently working on the cancellation form, and he would get it to us as soon as possible. This is a document requesting our signature to cancel the contract. Today is August 7th, and we still have not received a document to cancel the contract. The company still has our deposit, and I have yet to receive a cancellation form to sign. It has officially been a month to get a form to sign.

This was just filed with the BBB as well.

I am getting a little worried about the design center prices. Can anyone share their experiences? I saw another forum where some said how expensive it was once they got their. So far we have had a great experience but do not want to get caught off guard once we get to the design center.

This is not a Custom Builder ... Buy as is and nothing else.
We love the lot (neighborhood) but not the model/plan they are selling then we try to comprise the house with some requests:
1. Different Plan (plans offer from other community) - no can't do
2. Add addition half bath - no can't do
3. Extend patio - no can't do
4. Change patio doors/windows - no cant' do.

The bottom line is with this builder, you can't not change anything that involve a city/county permit change.
