Like others have said, shoddy craftsmanship combined with poor post-sale warranty work is very common. I have heard from several neighbors complaining of the same in my neighborhood. I could laundry list the things I've found but the worst defect is the cheap/watered down concrete from their subcontractor, it cracked badly in the driveway, garage, front sidewalk, etc. just a few yrs after moving in.
