It was an awesome boat ride, keith , Dave and mark were our caption/crew. Knowledgeable crew , polite, it was a great trip just felt it's over priced but I enjoyed myself. Also people who are interested with kids, it's a good idea I took my 2 year and 2 month old :-)

Decided to go with these guys after chatting with a couple of other options in town and thrilled with our time with these guys. Very professional and courteous crew and Captain Scott was great and took the time to make sure we got our chance to see some whales up close and personal! Awesome trip!

We just did the hot springs cove tour and it was amazing!! Jeff was our tour guide and he was so friendly and knowledgeable about the wild life and surrounding islands. He radio'd in and found humpback whales for us to watch on our way there which was awesome, the waves got huge in the open ocean but he was calm and we felt safe and excited the entire time. It was about a 6.5 hour trip with almost 3 hours at the springs which was the perfect amount of time. Highly recommend this place to anyone!!

My 2 kids(17 yrs. old and 13 yrs. old boys) and I did the 2:30pm Hot Springs Tour. The front end staff were friendly and informative. Our Captain, Marla, was upbeat. positive and adventuresome and used her radio to communicate with other's to find and locate any whale's for us on the way. We saw grey whales, sea lions and a sun fish basking(laying sideways)at the surface of the ocean. Marla has a great sense of adventure and she easily communicated with us. She covered safety and asked what was important to us on this trip and she achieved just that. Tour was 6.5 hrs. total. 1.5 hrs. to the hot springs with a few stops on the ocean to view wild life, almost 3.0 hrs. on the island to enjoy a 0.5 hrs. walk each way and 2.0 hrs. time to enjoy the hot springs. Definitely bring a lunch, wear water shoes($8.00 at the Pharmasave) to scale the rocks in the hot springs and a second pair of dry shoes/sandals/runners for the ride on the zodiak, and a towel to dry off.

Had a great experience at Jamie's!! We booked multiple excursions, and each one was exciting and exhilarating and really "must do" activities in Tofino for any traveller. What was nice was the whale watching was on the open ocean - a real thrill on a zodiac! and the bears was on the beautiful and calm inner waters making for two different experiences and we loved both. Our experience with the office staff was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive and obviously they love what they do. Its nice to see a mix of students - both international and locals - as well as some staff that look to be seasoned veterans - so to speak. And the tour guides we had were so knowledgeable and experienced. Loved the stories of the area, and the education component about the marine life.Lots to learn about wild animals we did not now before. Amazing place, amazing people, amazing vacation!!!!

We went whale watching in late April, and had a blast. We saw several grey whales spouting and even a few tails out of the water. There were also some gorgeous sea lions on a rock, we were close enough to hear them but still kept a respectful distance. The guides were quite helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. There were refreshments on board and the staff was prepared in case anyone suffered from motion sickness or other issues. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Very professional and nice people. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and always made sure to check in with us regarding speed of the boat. We saw three (!!) different families of Orcas on our tour which was amazing. Definitely recommend these guys!

Not impressed, okay we did not see any whales but this was not the issue. We went out in weather that was not good and had to eventually return as the weather became more serious. Two things spring to mind should anyone want to go whale arching (1) ask about weather conditions, the company should have the latest weather reports and remember they will be other boats out already and they can radio these. (2) the offer of no sight of a whale means you can come again , sounds great but it is restricted to what was described as a stand-by seat which is fine if you are staying in the area for a while

Very nice staff. If you do not see a whale in Whale Watching, you can try it again later, until you have seen one. The guides have a lot to tell about the area. Have on two tours (a repeat tour) ospreys, otters, seals, a black bear and a humpback whale seen. Unfortunately, I missed one of these little dolphins, but the others in the boat discovered it. Tour takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and is absolutely worth it. And who is on roller coaster rides, should definitely sit in front.

The T'ashii canoe tour that left from Jamie's was incredible. It was the highlight of our time in Tofino. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful, she sang traditional songs as we paddled and shared stories from her childhood. On the island we learnt so much about the trees that grow there, the traditional conservation practices and history of the area.

I didn t end up going on a tour with Jamie s, but I had such a positive experience that I had to share. I called last minute, during off-season, to book a tour and there weren t any other customers scheduled to meet the tour minimum. Adam called around town and went out of his way to get us in touch with another company that was going out so we were able to experience the hot springs. Thank you, Adam, for your thoughtfulness and hospitality. Highest of recommendations for your professionalism.

What a great crew. Greg was super informative and even knew the name of every sea otter (lol). Though they cannot promise a whale sighting, we were very fortunate and witnessed grey whales all afternoon displaying their flukes for us. The boat was very comfortable and not over-crowded. I did not use them, but two washrooms were available as well as tea and coffee. We learned a lot about the area and the local habitat. the sea otters were super cute.

Best tour place! We did the hot springs tour with Skipper Chris but we ended up seeing 2 different types of whales as well as sea lions, otters and porpoises. Really great tour. Laid back and relaxed and really well priced. We enjoyed it so much and would recommend everyone to go

Great place to go if you want to see wildlife. Competent and experienced staff, our skipper - Shaun - found a grey whale and a humpback despite August is not a season for them. We've also seen eagles, otters and porpoises. Lots of fun and great memories!

Brilliant starter kayaking on a glorious summer day. Our guide Sam was totally amazing and brilliant with our annoying teens and sulky 10 yr old, enthusiastic yet chilled. Amazing scenery, tour was tailored to fit our group perfectly. Highly highly recommend.

Had a great day exploring the coast looking for Grey whales. Saw 5-6 total, with many tail flukes! Keith was our captain and very funny and informative. Would try the bear and hot spring tours too based on their professionalism!

Our boat captain was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area, Warren was his name I believe. He took us to see the killer whales and gave us a narrated tour of the area. It was a beautiful hike to the hotsprings. We loved it! A great experience. It is a long hike into the hotsprings with many steps.

My friends and I went Kayaking here on October 23, 2019. Our Guide Kelsey was professional in her debriefing and meticulous in her kayaking guidance on the waters. We had a great time, especially me as the first timer!

Sailed with them both from Tofino and Ucluelet. The Tofino trip was top notch. Good boat, professional crew who could also tell along the way. Sailing both on the high seas and inland. Lived up to expectations.

We took the Hot Spring Cove Tour and it was an incredible experience. Our skipper, Chris was friendly and he had so much to share with us about the area. It is still early in the migration for grey whales but we were fortunate enough to spot one. Chris was so keen on finding one for us and he spent 10-15 minutes tracking it until we all got a good view. We also saw sea lions. Once we were dropped off at the location, there was a 20 minute walk into the hot springs (we went at a steady pace, I think 30-40 is what the guide wills suggest). The walk was beautiful. At the hot springs there are 2 toilets and 2 change room stalls. The hot springs themselves were amazing. When we arrived, the tide was just going out so there was still waves from the ocean spilling into the pools. That was a great experience sitting where the hot and cold water meet. Once the tide was out, the pools were HOT! You have an incredible view of the ocean from the pools. There were 11 people on our tour and we all sat comfortably and had space of our own. I can imagine it would be quite full in the busy season. The trip back was equally as beautiful. We did not see anymore wildlife, but our skipper took us back a different route so it was nice to see more beautiful scenery. We were also so happy with the service we received from Stephanie back at the office. She happily looked after our dog while we were out. She was very friendly and we knew he was in good hands. Absolutely no complaints. Thank you for an unforgettable day, we are already planning our next trip. If you have the chance to take this tour... DO IT! You won't be disappointed :)

We checked in the day before to handle payment and waivers. And the morning of our Hot Springs tour, we arrived 15 minutes early like they said. However we stood around for a good 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us, and we were the only ones at the shop. Until we finally asked them, they said "Oh, you need to be down at the dock right now!".
No one told us about that the day we checked in, or when we were standing there for 10 minutes. After we waited on the boat for another 10 minutes for another passenger. Turns out they did a double booking and that passenger was already on the boat. Seemed quite disorganized!

However the Hot Springs tour was great. Chris, our captain and guide, took the time to find some whales. We were able to see some Sea Otters, Dolphins and Grey Whales.

The Hot Springs was very relaxing, they had change rooms and pit toilets for use. On the way back we saw some more whales.

All around great tour, besides the disorganization, worth the extra bucks.

Our Captain Chris was amazing , we went to the hot springs, travelled inside on our way up seeing Eagles, sea otters. The a nice hike and a soak, we came back on the outside where we saw countless California grey whales. THANKS CHRIS

My sister and I were in Tofino for just a few days and decided to do the three hour sea kayak tour. We had an incredible guide named Kelsey who was very knowledgeable, and showed us the wonderful sea life that we would have never noticed if she had not pointed them out. I would highly recommend the kayak, it allows you to be close to the water and notice the smaller details of the shore. Excellent experience and an excellent guide!

We had the most incredible time kayaking on the rainforest tour! Clay, our guide was extremely informative and took us on a very cool tour kayaking around the islands and then walking through the rainforest. He was patient and very helpful - it was brilliant! Highly recommend

This is a very professional operation, safety comes first and the zodiac was comfortable. The knowledge Mike (a former school teacher) had on our tour was amazing and his passion was obvious. The highlight of Tofino and worth every penny.

I had the opportunity to take a Bear watching trip in Tofino with Jamie's last summer and it was an amazing experience. The crew where perfect and knew so much about the area and the wildlife. We started off nice and early in the morning and I got some great photos as we headed out, with the sun cutting through the morning fog. We saw quite a few Black bears along the shore line tossing over huge rocks, again made for some great photos. I cant wait for my next trip out to Tofino! I will definitively go out on the Whale Watching trip I did not have time to do then! 2 Thumbs WAY up for the crew at Jamies!!

This place was awesome. From the staff at the till to the guys on the boat, everyone was top notch. We saw bears on our trip as well as other wild life. Would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone interested in an excursion. Keep up the great work and we will most certainly be coming back to do another trip.

We took the zodiac whale tour. Our boatman was Mark which did a great job and Was plentiful with knowledge.
The place looks very welcoming and even provides hot beverage after sail is finished. Website allowed to book day before (8pm) to the 12:00 whales zodiac tour which is awesome ( has to search 2 days next and then at the Results go one day back )

Staff could have been better trained in providing correspondence before my trip, and the price for whale watching was quite high in my opinion. Overall, my experience was good, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Went on a trip into the sound in late September 2017, it was my first whale trip and the experienced crew put us onto a plethora of spectacular wildlife. The views & scenery alone were breath-taking but combined with the highly attentive, talkative, knowledgeable staff who had a very broad knowledge of the surrounding area, its wildlife & history I'm sure I would have still enjoyed the trip even if the wildlife had not made an appearance.

I believe the crew on board that day were Chris, Rachel & Etienne (I could be mistaken, it's been a while) but special thanks to them!
