A whale watching tour is a must when you travel around British Columbia and no one is better to satisfy your expectations than Jamie's. Jamie's crew members are professional and dedicated, and above all passionate about their job. We went on a zodiac trip and were grateful to contemplate 7 different grey whales along the shore.
We had a super day out with this company. Fun informative professional. I was delighted to learn about the Islands and the wild life. We had a lucky day and saw a mum and calf whale , a basking otter and sea lions. The crew were great and in competition with each other to share their knowledge. Paul Amber Chris and Captain Chris are a great team. Complimentary tea and coffee on board . Only little thing that annoyed me was it wasn't made clear to our little group that we should make our own way down to the boat. We sat in reception expecting to be called like they did with Zodiac clientele. So we had a bit of a rush last minute. Amber let us know we hadn't missed anything and we were there just in time for the briefing and safety information from Paul. A good day we saw lots and great experience for us land lubbers. Paul needs someone to write him some new jokes. But he did try and give us a laugh. Oh I almost forgot some of the fee you pay on this trip goes to research and conservation.
My partner and I went on a kayaking and forest trail tour which took maybe four hours. It was easy to book a day in advance and the price was affordable. Despite light rain, it was a really pleasant experience, largely in part to our guide, Sam. She was super friendly, approachable, fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. In life, I usually lean towards going with the little company as opposed to the biggest brand name but I think Jamie's' popularity is well-earned. Would use their service again.
It was a fantastic experience taking a boat to the hot springs and then a seaplane home.
On the boat they showed us wildlife on the way;
Sea otters, black bear, and a seal! They made a great effort to show us everything in the area and looked for whales, unfortunately there weren t any at the time in the area.
The only thing bad about the trip was some jerk door dented my vehicle in the parking lot (tight spots).

We did two excursions with Jamie s: one on a zodiac for whale watching, and the other on a boat for bear watching, both experiences were great.
Even though we didn t manage to fully see a whale we had the opportunity to see other sea creatures, such as sea lions and harbour seals. The excursions were great also to see the island from another angle!
Extraordinary afternoon on a Jaime Zodiac visiting the Broken Group in Barkley Sound. Even if I hadn't seen a single whale or sea lion it would have been a five star afternoon. As it was, we saw plenty of both, so do the math . . . Our engaging and informed skipper, Ben, who toured us for considerably longer than we had expected.
Great time with some kids on the water. Saw sever whales, porpoises, otters, and eagles. Sydney was our guide on our enclosed boat tour. She was awesome!
Saw two bear Cubs, bald eagle and two orca's. Etienne and Chris were fantastic!
Excursion of 3 hours takes 2 hours. Very expensive.
Professional, friendly and informative crew - delivered what they promised. So awesome!
We were traveling with the First Nations canoe. It was very tiring. Wild animals were little to see and the stories of the canoeist could also be found in Wikipedia. The expectations were not met.
Always kind and efficient staff. Very knowledgeable boat drivers. This company stays a good distance away from the animals when viewing so we don't disturb them in their natural habitat, but you still get a wicked photo. Other companies seem to go as close as possible which is potentially dangerous for the people and is harmful to the animals and their natural eating or migrating.
Jamie's also offers one year rain checks if you don't see any animals! This is my second time with Jamie's. I came 5 years ago and was thinking of checking out another company, but no one offers anything as high quality as Jamie's.
When I come back in a few years with the in laws, I'm only going to go with Jamie's.

We did sea kayaking, for the first time as a family. First things first, our guide Sam was just brilliant - experienced, knowledgeable, patient and very friendly. She's kayaked with whales so she knows what to do.
We got lucky with the weather - still as a pond - and it's a stunning setting.
Learnt so much on trip, as well as exploring places I'd never consider without Sam showing us how. Beautiful islands, history, wildlife, seaweed - amazing.

Love the boat ride like always. This time kids came on full enclosed boat to see the bears. We saw 3 bears, 4 harbour seals out of the water. Wouldn t do this tour again, had more fun watching whales or going I. The inlet when to stormy to see sea lions and seals. But thank u for the great time.
Great trip with a dedicated crew that not only saw the whales; but also nature play the main role! Whether the giant mammals are doing pirouettes in the air or not does not matter on this trip! It is worth the price!
