Nice renovated hotel, well located, close to the ocean.
Comfortable rooms, in vibrant colors; bathroom.
Presence of a gym with some weight machines as well as bicycles and running equipment.
The buffet breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the dining room.

Room had one bed reserved a double. Then they had no other rooms to offer. Roll away bed took over 2 hrs to show up after 4 phone calls and a long wet walk to the lobby. Finally got to bed around 3 am.

Great location and great service. I had a package shipped to me and it was waiting for me in the room. The guys at front desk were so nice to me when their system shut down. They accommodated everything.

Royal Palm South Beach was a great place to stay for a 4th of july miami weekend. Rooms were well layed out with air conditioning that worked great. Facilities were clean, private pool was great. The only negatives was an inaccessable HDMI port for the room tv and the hotel charged a separate fee after booking through priceline which hid the actual cost of the hotel.

The nicest room I have stayed in. Bathroom is very large with incredible decor. The staff from the door man to the staff on the beach and everyone in between could not be any nicer and always willing to help. Location is in walking distance from Lincoln Mall to Ocean Drive. But our favorite part of the trip was Edwin he took incredible care of us at the pool bar. Thanks Brian and Carol Nashville Tn.

I gave this hotel a star rating of a 2 because the staff were exceptional. They were very kind, courteous and helpful. We chose this hotel because we felt we couldn t go wrong with a Marriot affiliated hotel; however it was not the four star hotel that was portrayed online. Upon returning to our room at 5:00, we had to request room service. The shower had mold and the entire hotel needs a good cleaning. Rooms are worn and need updates. We stayed at Loews in the past and should have paid more and kept with tradition

Let s begin with check-in, this is our 3rd year here.
We arrived at 3pm, so that our check in wait wouldn t be long. We were not allowed in our room until 5pm, 1hr after our the hotel policy s guaranteed check in time of 4pm. We didn t make it out to the beach until 5:45 at which we were informed that they close beach services at 6pm, and we were charged resort fees for 15 minutes of beach time. In addition to our check in experience, we requested the 15th floor at our arrival and were told that they had us on the 15th floor, once issued keys, we were informed that we were on the 10th floor because our 15th floor room was still not ready.

Once we entered the room, we noticed the hinge of the shower door was coming off of the wall. We told management and they decided it was not safe for us and moved us to another room. Once moved to the new room on the same floor, the A/C was not cooling off the room. Maintenance determined that the A/C was blowing out 63 degrees, but the temperature in the room would only cool to 75 degrees, not acceptable when you are accustomed to sleep with the A/Con 65 degrees. Once again management decided to move our rooms again.

The next day, we went out to the beach and purchased an umbrella for $22, the wind began blowing at a faster rate than usual, and we were told we had to put the umbrella down. We ended up not being able to use the umbrella for the length of time we were on the beach, but we were charged for it.

Lastly, each time we walked out of the hotel to Collins Ave. their were a group of guys asking us to buy drugs. We reported it to the hotel, but they guys were there the entire time of our week long stay- not a good environment for kids at all.

We were given a few days of free breakfast in an attempt to make up for the horrible experience. However, nothing could compensate for all of
the trouble we experienced except a total refund. Find another hotel in South Beach!

Nothing like expected. The renovation of your main pool during summer which forces people to the beach. Beach closes at 6 so towels and chairs aren't given past 5pm (should've been extended since pool is down ). My shoes were stolen from my room, my bill was incorrect , the staff was unprofessional, (outside of 2 ppl)and check in was even worse. After all this they sent me a survey and provided me email to VP and Operations manager. I emailed and I've received no response from either. Terrible first time on South Beach for me.

We had booked a stay here on the 1st of June in 2016 and there weren't any issues what so ever. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel itself was very inviting. Everyone had their space, and the walls weren't thin. The atmosphere was great, as well as everyone who played their role to satisfy their guests.

Quite annoying experience. Unimpressive got the max for $200/night. No comforts or luxuries with the stay. Long lines to wait, not updated rooms, just overall janky hotel. There are better options, honestly spend a bit more and stay at a better hotel. You get nickled and dimes and end up leaving feeling robbed of joy & $$$

Most disgusting hotel! Way overpriced! Only good thing I found is that it's on the beach!
Found hair in the bad, dirty bathroom and shower. Ugh!!! Stay away! Totally not on a starwood level!

I wish I could give it a higher review because I liked the room and the location. I was a business traveler in February. We had a convention next door at Lowes. When I arrived early, the registration line was a 30 minute wait. My room was never ready and I had to come back but when I cam back, there was nowhere to just get your key - I had to wait in a 30 minute line again. after I got my key, they said I couldn't get my bags because they were swamped so I had to go to my room with no luggage and wait.
I had a late business dinner and wanted to sleep. Housekeeping was still cleaning and they talk and socialize loudly in the hallways. they also keep the doors open by throwing the bolt lock over and letting the doors slam into the locks while they go in and out. It was so loud and awful. I napped an awoke to no bath towels. I called THREE times and was promised THREE times the towels were on the way. I never got towels. I used my clothes. the next day I hunted down housekeeping to get my own towels.
Then they locked me out of my room due to what they thought was a credit card issue. I had to have security take me up, let me in while I get my card and escort me back down. my 4 night stay was under two different reservations and they screwed up but I tolerated it - until they gave me new keys and they didn't work. and then I went back down and they tried again and they didn't work. And then they blamed a battery on the lock so I sat in the hallway and waited for security AGAIN and it wasn't the battery - it was how they programmed the key.
it was one disaster after another. I was texting with a man who promised a manager would contact me but I never heard from them.
and housekeeping just kept hollering for 4 days.
it was AWFUL. I have since stayed at Lowes, Kimpton Surfcomber, Marriott Brickell, Fountainbleau and Mr. C's in coconut grove - MUCH better options!

check in was a bit of a mess since there were many people trying to check in at the same time but with only 2 staffs on duty. He failed to mention alot of things tome such as high speed internet access/password, breakfast being included, asking for other things needed for the stay, etc.

My family stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment with ocean view, so cannot complain about the view at all. Rooms were clean although bathroom mirrors were old/chipped and one of the bathroom doors was not leveled which kept on closing on my toddler, making her bump herself onto it. One of the lights was not working and lounge chair was completely broken which made my husband fall off the chair completely which was scary since it could have been my toddler who fell, hurt herself badly.

Overall the hotel is REALLY understaffed - only one operator taking calls when the phone doesnt allow you to call the services like guest services, in room dining, concierge, house keeping, etc.

Also at the beach, our attendant was horrible - she took more than 30 minutes to bring us lukewarm beer, no table, asked for water and she told us to go get it ourselves but other attendants brought everyone around us bottled waters. Also we asked for cup of ice but never brought so we ended us leaving and on our way out we saw her just goofing around with others drinking her soda.

Table Attendant Pedro at the breakfast joint (Florida cookery) was AWESOME! He was really attentive, quick and served with care.

in conclusion, i am not sure if I would come back for the money spent, horribly understaffed with most attendants being somewhat rude/not so attentive. I am unsure if the hotel deserves 4-star status...

This is a real review from a traveler who booked their stay using one night with points and the other night paid. I can't thank Xochil Hurtado from accounting enough. She has been absolutely AMAZING!!!
After a quick mix up with a double booking she got it all straightened out, assured me everything would be taken care of, and put me at ease. I will stay at the Royal Palms again because of Xochil.
Starwood has a true asset with her as an employee. She should be working at Ritz Carlton, because the service and friendliness she provides is at such an amazingly high level. Thank you Xochil, it is because of You that I am able to enjoy my vacation. I am so grateful.

A nice, posh hotel with a great view of the beach. Really loved the proximity of the hotel to the beach, and ease of access from the pool areas to the beach. The lobby of the hotel is lovely, and the rooms were clean, hip and nice. loved the stay here.

I have never been one to complain or take the time...

I have never been one to complain or take the time to write a review on a hotel/restaurant, however, the lack of hospitality and customer service at the royal palm warrants it. After a long day of travel I arrived at the Royal Palm around 3:00pm. The room wasn t ready, which was no big deal. The concierge took down my information and said they would text me when the room was ready in about an hour. Before I even walked out the door to go next door to hang out until my room was ready, I got notified by my bank that I was charged $180. The concierge told me there would be a $30
Hold on my card. Regardless, it s not the money, because I was going to be paying that when I checked out. It s more so the principal that they were not honest. I didn t say anything because, as I said before, I was going to be paying that when I checked out anyways. Come 4:45 I still have not heard from the hotel. I called the front desk to check the status of my room and they said the room had been ready, but never sent me a text. After finally checking in, I got up to the room and it was 78 degrees in the room. I figured the ac probably wasn t turned on and needed some time to cool the room down. I got back from dinner around 11 and the room still had not cooled down at all. I called the front desk to ask if the ac was broken and they said the engineer was on his way up. It s over an hour after the fact and not one person has come up here to check the problem. I ve called the front desk again to check the status and no one answered the phone. If you enjoy paying money to sleep in a sauna and have zero customer service; then this is the hotel for u. If you are looking to actually enjoy ur vacation and not waste your money I would recommend staying elsewhere.

My girls and I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for a bachelorette party weekend and we all LOVED this hotel. The rooms decor was great, the staff was amazing they went above and beyond for our group, and the location is perfect! At the time of our stay the main pool and lobby were being reconstructed and we still loved our stay. I will definitely stay here again!!!

The hotel is beautiful because has access to the beach , cleaning service is very good free WiFi and tv room is good , pool is ok . If you have are driving (rental or personal car ) this is challenging
Because the Hotel facilities are over price for night
You should do research in parking garages around the Hotel , the stuff is friendly, fasciitis need repair (some licking roof in Whole-ways. If you booking with third party (Expedia , travels , etc) you might experience some second class welcome and atmosphere. General is ok Good location to walk and have fun around

Top notch hotel/resort experience. Came for our national sales conference. Anthony, Bradley and Chase were amazing hosts. Can't think or anywhere else to stay when coming down to Miami beach again.

The hotel itself is very good, right by the beach, pool is heated, convenient location to the most entertaining. Front desk customer service personnel are friendly and helpful. Room's are spacious and neat. The only down side is house keeping, they did clean the room but didn't dust the surfaces and one of the towels weren't clean after they have changed.

Service was above and beyond, location amazing, great public spaces and decent rooms. This was a special occasion trip to Miami and with a heads up to the staff, they added touches of superb service to our trip to bring the whole experience up a notch. It s a great location in Miami Beach, right on the beach, amazing pools and hot tub, while being easy walking distance to some great restaurants. Family friendly it seems but also we traveled just as a couple and found it great as well.

Stayed here recently and will come back again to the Royal Palm when we visit South Beach again.

It s not the biggest place in South Beach but it certainly has all the amenities we were looking for. We stayed for 6 nights and the rates were quite reasonable. They are located just off Ocean Drive in South Beach are on the route of the ocean walk/bike path but also a short distance from the most popular places within walking distance.

They have 3 separate Bars, a couple of restaurants & 2 pools as well as a large heated rain wall that falls into good size hot tub/pool.

The service and wait staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend staying at the Royal Palm!

Great hotel. It accommodated our group of a little more than 20 people. The team at the Royal Palm brought our refreshments and cleared to rooms for our events really quickly. Accommodations were great as well.

I just checked in and feel like I was bait & switched. Here for Art Basel $500+ a night and all the rooms they show are in the new tower. They gave the new tower to groups and I m a platinum elite with SPG. Complained and basically said there s nothing they can do. Which was bs, give one person in the Grouo the old tower.
Halls are torn up, doors are torn up, Room is not good. I would of happily stayed and somewhere else.

The Royal Palm is a nice hotel with a private beach area for guests. The rooms were fairly standard for what you'd expect from a tribute portfolio hotel - nothing spectacular but nothing negative. The concierge Florian was very helpful with providing information and booking activities.

Amazing location with 5-Star amenities and ocean views. Direct access to beach with cabannas, chairs with umbrellas, and food and beverages. Hotel is clean, well managed, and is truly a lively and entertaining Miami Beach experience!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. There are few things i would like to point out.
We arrived around midnight . We reserved a room with ocean front and got ocean front room though the room was on the 5th floor facing pergola for spa and the view was not good at all. The room was very dirty, had crumbs on the table, long black hair by the bed and in the shower. Tv was placed way away from the bed facing wall, don't understand what the purpose even was and how would anyone be able to watch tv. We complaint about the room and stuff wanted to send housekeeping to our room but considering it was already 1am we refused. Our luggages were delivered to our room about 45 min later after checking, don't understand why since we were the only ones checking in. The stuff was not helpful and was also rude. The vallet guy worjing after midnight had horrible attitude every night. The personal during the day was much better though.
After several complaints we were able to switch a room next day. We got room on the 17th floor ocean front and it was wonderful . Exactly as expected when we booked this hotel.
Breakfast food is nothing special, and expensive. You will get much better breakfast if you eat out. The beach is nice, the service at the beach is very slow. We waited for our orders for more then hour.
Overall if we forget the vallet guy and first room we got, out stay was pleasant. Location of this hotel is perfect, in walking distance everywhere.

Good location and excellent amenities. The room is spacious and comfortable. You have to be careful with the electronic system of the refrigerator and dispenser of snacks in the room, it is something strange, it says that if you support something it charges you! Only regular water (the one not in the electronic dispenser) and the coffee machine with starbucks are included.
You can not use the refrigerator for your drinks!
It has a microwave in the central hall that you can use.

We had a great weekend stay. Room was clean and modern. The pool and beach area were very nice, never too busy to enjoy. Spent most of the time in the beach which had great service. They also had bikes for the guests to ride. Concierge was very helpful with activity and restaurant suggestions.

They have issue with cleanliness: soap leftover from previous guests, hair in bathroom. Dirty lounge chair cushions. Holes in the bed sheet, run down furniture.

A beautiful Art Deco property in some of the best real estate in Miami. The lobby oozes classic design, with porthole windows, bright colors and plush chrome chairs. The pool is buzzing, but not crowded, and sipping a Miami Vice in the afternoon sun is a great way to beat the winter blues. The rooms are smaller than you d find a newer properties, but all you re sacrificing is a desk you wouldn t use anyway. Very walkable to all South Beach has to offer I m so glad I booked this place.

Doesn't matter if you are top end of the SPG status. you get cold breakfast unless you pay for hot one. Overall the hotel staff is nice, just poorly managed overall. of btw, apparently the hot tub doesn't work for most part

I DO NOT recommend this hotel! I booked here through Hotwire paying $1002 for a 7 day stay (which I thought was a great price) until I got bombarded with all of these other fees after checking out. I checked out early at day 5 because there was absolutely no cleaning accommodations. They charged me for every drink that was in the room even though I didn t drink any of it...I was charged a total of $745 in fees after check out... I understand resort fees and parking fees but they won t explain any of the other charges and the customer service sucks! I had to call and be hung up on 3 days in a row to actually have a conversation with someone. I am currently on a 10 minute hold writing this review smh. I travel A LOT and have never went through this with any other hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE!

This is a great Starwood property in South Beach, with great views of the ocean and the nearby nightlife on Collins Ave and Ocean Drive. Style of the hotel is very art deco, which had been well maintained by the excellent staff. The valet parking guys were especially nice and helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely come back again.
