This is a horrible experience in this hotel, the room smells terrible, looks like a motel, is supposed to be a 5 stars hotel but is so far to the reality. We made a complain about those issues but they doesn t make a solution. Never stay here again.

Aggressive and impolite Front Office Manager, Kenner Elizalde. After a lengthy stay at home order was lifted we decided to visit South Beach like we have many times. Upon check in my agent was Kenner. He made assumptions about my reservation saying that I had booked through a third party site. When I told him I didn t he demanded that I show him, prove it to me, show me the confirmation because you re not getting points for this stay .

As I begin to ask questions Kenner got aggressive and rude. As a Marriott Titanium Member I am familiar with the reservation process staying 75+ nights a year with Marriott.

I than ask questions about an upgrade and he stayed aggressive telling me that just because I made a request doesn t mean it was approved. I again showed him the confirmation email. The conversation got out of hand in front of family, friends and strangers.

The whole exchange was uncomfortable Kenner was speaking down to me, didn t acknowledge my status with Marriott he never gave us wristband that are required for the property it was not a good way to start a vacation after being home for 90 days. I m not sure if he treated me this was because I am a black man or if he is just rude but it was unprofessional and very much a street tone.
I have stayed at this property 3-4 times in the last year and this will be my last stay here. There are so many options.

I paid online than when I arrived they will asked you for $250 deposit that you will never get back when I call them asking for my deposit they said Resort fee and parking
But still all does not even $100 and they charge me for mini bar that I didn't use they're absolutely thieves I don't recommend it

Location location location not to far from art deco friendly staff great guest service. Specially Chase out side for the chair and umbrella service very professional courteous and make your stay pleasant by beach for all your needs

Well we were treated very well as we were platinum spg member, got free upgraded room and free breakfast, but the free breakfast had a little twist to it. But not a disqualifier anyway because we only made it one day. Nice clean and immaculate room. Nice veiw. I can say if i would go back, i stay there again.

The rooms are dated, worn and stink. Had to change rooms because of the excessive mould smell and even the new one wasn t great but smelt better. Asked if we wanted it cleaned again. Lady no cleaning gonna fix that. Room service ladies speak NO English asked for towels got teabags. In then end had to go to their trolly daily and help ourselves. 4K AUD for 7 nights and I wish I d paid the extra 1K for Lowe s next door now that s 4 star! The beds are cheap mattresses on ply board and the bathrooms no privacy as door keeps opening when you close it and the door handle is a massive hole in the door.
End of the day location is great but not worth they money they are charging per night.

So far this place is amazing! The menu at the Grove next to the pool is delicious. Everything on it is great. The service is so sweet as well. I definitely recommend this resort for anyone.

If your expecting a 4 star hotel it's not here. Ice machine had mold and algea growing on it staff didn't seem to care until we reported twice. Some staff are friendly and care some really don't like don't like there job. I definitely received better service at 3 star hotels. I will not be staying here again.

Lovely property, spacious clean rooms and you couldn't get closer to the beach. Beautiful lobby, very nice pool area that is usually very lively. In-room amenities are on par with what one would expect for an upper-end hotel that is still priced affordably. However, this is one of a number of properties in the area that are kept up very well and have a distinctive local flavor, so the experience comes down to the little things that separate just okay from great. Unfortunately, on my first trip staying at this property, I had a few snags with customer service that I found a bit frustrating. Small things yes, but enough that I felt less than welcome which is the most critical part of the hotel experience in my opinion as a frequent traveler. Specifically, one evening I was looking forward to a late night glass of wine and went down to the lobby bar to request one. To my disappointment, the bar was closed about 20 minutes before its 11pm closing time - small thing, but disappointing all the same. Additionally, I went to the night time concierge to ask a few questions about replacing some consumable items in my room and felt as if I was imposing by asking based on the response I got. Again, small things but consistent and reliably warm customer service are my top priorities when looking for a place to call temporary home when I travel for work, and I did not find that here on this trip.

It all started with great service and attention to detail by Alima. Checked in quickly but after a day as I walked by the front desk Alima remembered my name and asked how things were. A valuable employee for sure. If I had to say anything that could be better is the pool area. There are 2 pools but just seems a bit awkward and the sun gets blocked too much in behind the other buildings. But I would highly recommend this property and will be back for sure.

My wife, 2 year old and 1 year old visited the Royal Palm South Beach hotel for 4th of july for 5 nights. The hotel staff was not very friendly. We didn't get a great vibe from them and our hunch is it was because either we were a family which this hotel is not catered to or because we were staying through a Groupon. The room was very small and not very accommodating. Any extra cost even more money on the already 300+ a night room. Also, valet for the each day was 43 dollars. The valet was nice for the most part and accommodating, but it was quite an extra expense. Never the less, decent location, right near Lincoln Rd which has a ton of shops a few blocks west. My advice if you are a family with young children is to maybe consider somewhere else. I dont feel like our money was well spent.

Loved the hotel and was so close to the beach and very close to restaurants. The elevators did smell pretty bad and it was kinda hard to keep sand out of the room. Only problem we are having now is we still haven t gotten our deposit back. I have tried to contact the hotel but haven t had any luck no one answers the phone.

This was the worst hotel in Miami, they gave me and my wife a room in the 9th floor, the other people in the floor had a party going on all night! Phone in the room didn t work either, when I checked out they said I would get a discount which that was Not true! Not only they charged my card for the 350 they said was all included, they swiped it again for the difference they supposedly had discounted me for!!! Worst Hotel ever!!!

It started out good until we were trying to leave our room and loud snoring. And to our surprise drunk man curled up at our door....as in we would have had to step over to get out our room. And vomit in hallway. Called security and took 20 mins for them to get him removed from door. Then continued to call back down there 3 more times to ask when the vomit was going to get cleaned up for front desk to say They were on limited staff so it would have to wait. With all security camera I would have thought they would have seen it happening in hallway. Then not cleaning up vomit during the pandemic. Then asked how are stay was for them to say all you were people with drunk. Not no sorry for inconvenience...Nothing. I was not happy at all. Pictures attached

I can definitely recommend it.
Between Victor's Hotel and Breakwater there is no comparison. Choose this one and you are going to be happy.

Overrated. Not 4star quality. Service was bad. Room was small and not cleaned. Pool was really small and congested. Also, housekeeping was banging on my door at 11am when I was confirmed a late check out at noon. Then to top it off I forgot my jacket and a dress in the closet and no one turned it in. I checked out at noon but was still on the property until 4:30pm doing some work and having lunch. Housekeeping was outside my room when I left at noon ready to clean my room and NOONE tried to contact me about my jacket and dress!!! Very disappointed. Not ever coming back or recommending to anyone. I will go back north to Fontainebleau or Eden Roc.

Expedia switched us here after we had the worst hotel experience of our lives at Ithaca South Beach. This hotel turned around our vacation experience and made the week worth it! Balcony, spacious handicap accessible room, breakfast included for our stay, and extremely nice and helpful valet. Did not seem like much of a party hotel, which we were thankful for. View from our room was of the other part of the hotel but still a good balcony!

This is another example of the Marriott Corporation under staffing hotels to the detriment of their patrons and their own employees. Staff is extremely overwhelmed which is a fault of Marriott and management. Waiting 20 min at an outdoor bar to order a glass of wine. Understaffed bar couldn't keep up with the resort crowd. We moved to a table with 2 managers saying sorry about the wait, we'll take care of this. Another 20 min later still couldn't get a glass of wine. I feel bad for the employees and the patrons there.

I had an awesome stay and it was very affordable during the week. Very clean rooms with a spacious bathroom. The view was very nice and it was a short walk to the beach. They had free 2 hour bike rentals which was a great way to scope out the neighborhood! The staff was very friendly and gave us water bottles. I highly recommend Royal Palm!

The beach view was very nice! The hotel accommodations were pretty staggering once we arrived. We were able to be placed in the correct room the next day. Not to bad but considering we were only there for the weekend it slightly delayed our partying.

Stayed here many times over the years. Great property conveniently located on Collins ave close to all the attractions. The hotel underwent a really nice renovation a few years ago, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Most of the rooms have a balcony which is nice to hang out on after a busy day of activities.

I am giving it a 3 star review because on the check in date my room was not ready until 4 pm and on the check out date the cleaning lady started knocking on our door at 9 am , 9:30 am, 10 am etc... it was annoying.

Also the food at the pool is the worst I ve ever had at a miami hotel pool. We didn t eat the chicken that came with the salad it looked and tasted like rubber. We told the waiter and he said we were not the first people to complain about it. For a property like this I would expect better.

I am here for the first time. A Bonvoy business traveler. Absolutely awful. Unrecognizable as a portfolio Marriott. awful checkin with unhappy guests making scenes in lobby. Floor 9 smells of marijuana. I was told I was given a nicer room due to issues at check in. Not so. My sinner was over ooked. When i asked to be teased of room i was offered 20 minutes to find d a new hotel. never coming back here

Place seemed pretty standard for Miami. We had one one the 2 bedroom suites, which had a great 180 view of the Ocean and strip.

Only drawback was that housekeeping missed 2 of the 6 days we stayed there. We called down to the managers and had someone come up, but even then they kinda did a half-assed job.

It's a staple of Miami and a great location. I would stay here again, just wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

Amazing hotel. Great location, never used a car service like Uber or lyft except for the airport. Hotel has free bikes for rental. Most things are within a mile. Frozen drinks are handmade to order. Valet and concierge are excellent!

For a Marriott Resort, this is terrible. Arrived and waited 5 hours to get checked in. I always ask for a room away from elevators and ice machines...the elevator shares the wall next to the room and the ice machine is the opposite of the bed headboard. This information is in my Marriott profile as a very frequent Marriott member. Uggh!

Not a 4 star resort. I've been to other 4 star hotel resorts and they are far far better than this. I would say even a few 3 star resorts were better.

Cons:
* Not so clean, tiny hair bits lying around the bed and even in the coffee cup. I wonder how it got there.
* Extra charge for refrigerator $30/day and that too is limited in count. You have to call and get it before they run out of refrigerators.
* Small rooms
* Bathroom door doesn't completely shut and it doesn't have a lock. Confirmed from one of the staff members after repeated asking for 2 days, it's the same in all the rooms.
* No carpet flooring in room.
* Uncomfy pillow. There was no filling inside them, they just lie flat.
* Staff was not so friendly. (Common reply, "I'm new here, I don't know for sure, I'll talk to someone and get back to you! And no one gets back")
* daily resort fee includes bikes, beach chair, etc.
They have a few 4-5 bicycles so they run out of it quickly. Seriously you have such a large resort and you are keeping just a few bikes? The beach chairs are included in your stay but $20 charged for the umbrellas. Oh and there will be tax charged on this resort fee as well .
* $43/day for valet parking. Opposite to the hotel there is a self parking garage, charges $2/hr or $20/day.
* They try to get extra money out of you by any means possible. If you reserve this hotel by comparing it's lower rate to other 4 star hotels in the vicinity, do know that considering other hidden expenses this one will cost you more eventually.

Pros:
*Amazing views of the beach and Miami city
*Quick access to south beach and lumus park area. As soon as you get out of the doors you are on the beach .

Customer Service was terrible .. asked for them to send help for us to bring our bags down and 1 hr later we received no help... also if you want anything complimentary like a toothbrush dont count on getting... overall wasnt very satified with the room either, seemed very old and didnt look much like the pictures in person

Great setting, staff are friendly, rooms were nice but not quite what I expected, beautiful pools, beach location was great, expensive drinks, not much for snacks or food there but it's a shot walk to Walgreen's.
