Very strange hotel. Didn't quite live up to the South Beach level of service that I've experienced at the other hotels, no one to help carry luggage from taxi, rooms quite basic.

Excellent service. Door man delivered complimentary champagne because there was a mess up on reservation. The owner sat and had drinks with us and asked for genuine opinion. This was such a great spot! Good deals during happy hour at pool bar. Outside amenities for beach are great with dining service. Balcony could be better but why would you want to be in your room in south beach anyway! Not far from ocean side gym! It s closer to 10th street. They rent you bikes so it s a great way to get around on the board walk!

Valet is terrible! Paid three times the price from the parking across the street, but waited half an hour to get our car. There is definitely problem with the management of this hotel. Will never come back!

Staff was friendly and made the check in process easy.

Forgot a family necklace at the hotel. I ve tried getting in contact with the hotel for already 5 days straight. I ve called over 20 times daily and they not yet have answered the phone or have gotten back to me. Very unprofessional

The hotel is very nice. The rooms very clean, the staff very friendly. They charge 200dl of insurance but then they refund it with the check out. The breakfast is very complete and worth it. The bad thing was the loud music and the thin walls, you hear everything. The location is excellent, close to everything and with exit to the beach where the hotel has chairs and towels, although the umbrella charge 25dl per day.

Great place to stay. Staff is really friendly and attentive.

Nothing royal about this hotel staff was rude housekeeping did not do our room when we left . & I didn t get the room i paid for they give you what they want to give you and tell you everything is sold out

Great hotel. Awesome location. Right next to the beech on Collins Ave. 2 outdoor pools. Friendly staff and super clean rooms. Staff made our stay enjoyable!

Beautiful resort, loved the entrance to the beach, and the pool area was beautiful. Only complaint the drinks at the bar holy cow for the price of two Pina coladas I could've bought a liter of rum and mix to last all week.

Noisy, not very clean, expensive. I don't know why the walls between the "suites" are defined as thin as a sheet of paper. If unfortunately your neighbor takes a shower at a time when you want to sleep, you can also get up. It seems to be there with him. There is no no smoking in the room, now present in most of the USA. Result? Hallucinating smell of Cuban cigar and door open for the first three hours of stay. Nice style, but roadside Motel details. Nice pool. For what they ask, stay away.

Both front desk and bellman service is top notch. Carlos G. (Bellman) went above and beyond by providing us with water bottles, an umbrella when it was raining, and an overall positive attitude. You can really tell that he loves his job and he enjoys what he does. We will return to Royal Palm because of his wonderful service. Shakela Martin is also amazing. She provided great customer service and great professionalism. They both deserve a promotion and a raise. Our only issue with the stay is that house keeping came too early every morning (9am) and woke us up both mornings we were there. When we asked for them to come later, they never came back. Thus, are room was not cleaned during our stay. Otherwise I would rate 5 stars.

All I can say is on the outside it looks so luxurious and expensive but on the inside it s not like that!! I paid a lot for 2 nights and then once I arrived they make you pay another 250 before checking in then they charge you 33+ 4 dollars in taxes each day you stay just to go to beach and use the pool even if you don t even use the pool or the WiFi they will still charge you that each day !!! And it takes days for them to give you your deposit back it s not something you get right away just fwy!! I think there s better hotels near the beach for that price and with a better view!!

Not value for the money...rooms are pricy yet they dont live up to it...only good thing is u hav beach access right behind the hotel

It was really a great intimate resort oriented to the beach and close to everything, the activity guide turned out to be very very kind and generous of its time to organize everything according to our desires

Good hotel for young folks that just need a few days in miami. Close to everything the staff is very nice. Decent pool and gym and the beach is right behind. I recommend its once of the best. PS there is a resort fee.
Only negatives, make sure to view your final bill they charged me for things out the mini bar and I Didn t not touch it at all I contact Mahmoud Hamzeh who is in charge of Accounts Receivable, he drop the ball big time in fixing this small situation. I m trying my best not to have to call my credit card company to resolve it. I have called and emailed him over 6 times and only got him once and is was so unsure about is job.

This hotel is in a good location but it's really not that nice, esp for the price. The rooms were old and felt dirty. I had to switch rooms when I first got there because the hindge for the door lock was coming out of the wall.
Also, there's no carpet in the rooms and the walls are thin so sound travels. People were coming back around 2am and it would wake me up, even with whitenoise playing on my phone. I was glad to only be staying there a night.

Great location , but the best part is the Pool and Beach! LT the manager of those areas aims to please ! He and Kervin gave us the royal treatment during a Mother - daughter get-away! We WILL be back and we WILL stay at the RP due to outstanding service from LT and Kervin. Make sure you get the tip I left and many thanks!

Kelvin, Pedro, and Eduardo were excellent at the front desk. We had a bit of a complication when checking in (all on our part). All 3 guys were so very very helpful and patient with us. Great customer service!

Great location, and not alot of children, rooms are dated but are acceptable for the price over all a very nice place to stay, food and drinks are very expensive, no in room microwave, but again stay was very pleasant.

Hotel from 1930, renovated not new. Small but comfortable rooms, some with the other balcony without. There are two pools a small and a large, heated in the "mid-season." A stone's throw from the beach. There is also a Spa but I have not used it.

I ve stayed there a few times each year for the past 5 years so I feel pretty qualified to write this review. The place has a tough reputation because it used to have a lot of issues. They are very conscious about it and really want to make sure you have a nice stay. Staff is helpful, attentive and caring. The rooms are pretty nice for what you are paying to be on the beach.

A lot of families and foreign people stay there but it is still pretty good for younger people too. They ve come a long way over the past few years and I d definitely recommend staying there while the prices are still very competitive in the area.

Don't ever stay at this place when visiting Miami. So much went wrong when staying here so let's start the list:

1. On the day of our check in we had a random hotel staff member enter our room without knocking at around 4pm. That's a good start.

2. Day two, went to the beach and upon return, realized cash was stolen from our room after it was turned over for housekeeping (mind you we passed on housekeeping earlier when we were still in the room, but apparently they came back after we refused). Filed an incident and worked with Harold and Cathy. Both displayed exceptional customer service and I applaud them. Credited our room the amount stolen and added star points to my account.

3. Day 2 continued... Had 2 rolls of toilet paper delivered to our room at 2AM. First off, why there's anything being delivered at 2AM is beyond me. And if the staff is delivering something, you better make certain you get the right room.

This hotel is a train wreck, save your money and go elsewhere, like the Loews next door. If you're an SPG member like myself, stay anywhere else on Miami Beach but this place.

If I could give negative stars I would, unfortunately that's not an option.

Not impressive to me. My room had a stench and was promised a new room. Never happened. The rooms are outdated and in need of an update. For partying and not really relaxing, its doable!?!

Excellent location.dated small pool. Super slow restaurant pool,service-like 45 mins! I asked for things over and over and over again to be delivered to my room: towels, pillows, medical fridge, champagne bucket-I had to ask for many of them so many times. The pillows took 3-4 phone calls and about 3 hours...towels, I got from a lady in the hallway...even the Mgr made primroses about getting items delivered, didn t happen. Employees don t follow thru, not so happy. EXCEPT THE CAR GUYS AND VALET AND bellman-Heinz -front desk, to helpful at all-the texting service doesn t work worth beans...10-15% rate is not good...the upgraded room that I cashed in a suite upgrade coupon for was micro tiny-good view-but tiniest upgraded room ever-they had some lighting issues and the telephones were so dated, they showed the old hotels name-HOW CHEAP ARE YOU THAT YOU CANT HCNAGE OUT THE NAME PLATES FROM THE OLD HOTEL FROM 4-5 YEARS AGO-SHAME ON YOU MARRIOTT-
Marriott needs to do some serious changes to this property-train your people and make some other nicer features . It appears Marriott simply grabbed an old property and Thru it under their propperty umbrella with ZERO OVERSIGHT-
BTW:I m the highest tier possible at Marriott- I am lifetime Titanium Elite-and I got treated like $@#&...good,luck peeps

Check in easy, suite beautiful, housekeeping perfect, bar fabulous, music awesome, pool and beach wonderful, Lobby huge and nice, concierge very helpful, espresso bar great, workout room very nice, restaurant delicious and reasonable.

This place rocks!

Located right on South Beach, with easy access to the beach and Ocean Drive. It's nice and quiet if you need a good night's sleep. The staff were accommodating of a request for early check in, however, the room could've been a little cleaner. The floors were still wet.

Went with some friends and they had nice rooms and great atmosphere. The staff and servers were all super nice and Melina took great care of us. Great service. Would definitely go back again.

Beautiful hotel in a strategic area a stone's throw from the start of Ocean Drive and Lincoln Ave. We have chosen a deluxe ocean view room and we are enjoying it very much: spacious, tidy, clean and the TOP view! Excellent free service fresh water bottles; a convenience the beach towels always available unlimitedly and the deckchairs included.

The hotel itself is nice and has nice beach access but the rooms smelled musty and they really do not have a great food selection for guest so plan on going elsewhere to eat. Might want to bring a portable air purifier for the room. Wifi worked well.

You want like it if you want to walk and shop but if you want beach and pool (witch is so pretty) time it is the place. Love the balcony. Will stay again

Nice accommodations but needs to be upgraded, no cream or coffee in room, had to call for it, no room service and last day and looks like mold growing in closet on baseboards

Total disappointment !! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I do not even know where to start. Staff at reception who do not care and can not provide even estimate time when the room will be ready or express even simple apologies for making us wait. The whole check in process took over three hours. Rooms are nice, that is why you get 1*, otherwise you do not deserve any. It all starts at reception. Now the whole experience is ruined as we use tired and upset.

The pictures on their website gave the hotel no justice. The 1st Room we got was dirty so we was moved to a second room was just OK. There are too many updates needed to be added through out the hotel. The price for the low budget breakfast that was served was ridiculous and thanks to another couple they gave us a coupon made it a little bit better. It was my second wedding anniversary and the only thing that was worth the trip was we had each other and thanks go out to Front Porch Cafe around the corner from the hotel they were wonderful.

Great hotel! Oceanfront with 2 min walking to beach and complimentary chair. Umbrellas are $19 extra.

Not great. Was supposed to be a non smoking room and gave us a room that smelled like a cigarette carton. On top of that they told us there was nothing they could do about it. Upon entering the room we were greeted by two cockroaches. Staff seemed annoyed to be there. Lots of construction.

Actually i only went to the public beach i didn't stay @ the hotel... About the beach i have to say That the waiter has good tempeture compare to the rest of unite states beaches.... The colors are beautiful i enjoyed That moment

Really nice place for ovecation, just few feet from beach with pool gym and one more extra pool with warm water specially for mornings relaxation and bar, I like breakfast ,it s huge menu and food is delicious

Unable to Accomodate a Full House (#RollingLoudWeekend). Day Staff & Night Staff at Front Desk lack communication. Suite Delayed Hours due to cleaning. Oh I'll definitely be sticking with Marriot, but on this round, this place, absolutely disappointed! View was good though

Beautiful boutique hotel on Collins Avenue. Close to all of the South Beach eats and night life. The Beach is literally at your doorstep. Definitely returning to this hotel on my next visit.

I WAS SCAMMED AT THIS HOTEL, I DREAM CHARGED TWO CALLS TO SPAIN BY PHONE ABOUT $ 500 TO $ 23 PER MINUTE, OLD LACK OF CLEANING, if it occurs to you just to touch something from the minibar or above the cookies and the things that are in the room only touch it (they have sensors) they charge you directly to your credit card account three times more than it is worth, then you already discuss if you have eaten it you have not eaten it, it is made to scam you already told me until a worker there, lousy lousy lousy.

Catch Miami Restaurant - I realize this is a primarily seafood restaurant, however in addition to being seated on top of the couples on either side of us my steak was not edible. It was even difficult to cut much less eat. For such an expense meal it was a total fail.

I didn't get to check in because my booking was canceled. They said my credit card was invalid but after I check with my bank everything with my funds was in good standing. (Two different cards) The phone number on the website was incorrect & I didn't receive any returned emails to try to fix the problem. Once I got the correct number one day before I was to check in the manager Max had the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and he never returned my phone calls. This cancellation nearly ruined our family vacation. I was luck to find another room last minute & my credit card paid for the room immediately. All of this occured while driving to florida 10hrs & finding a room at 12midnight.

miami beach, dirty room, said we have to wait for the rrom to be ready but it was not cleaned, very dirty i dont know how tbey have 4.5 stars on the seach media i wouls give it 2 stars, i been to 2 stars motels and they looked better

Beautiful resort the pool a bit small but the beach is amazing!

I love this place so much, great location if you want to experience the South Beach nightlife. It's close to everything so no car is needed and you can focus on recharging the batteries. Been here 3-4 times now and I'll definitely be coming back soon

Extremely chic, upscale and elegant hotel, with numerous facilities and, above all, an extremely well -organized beach access and service.

Would definitely stay again. It's right on the beach, with two nice pools. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond on many occasions, and even gave suggestions on where else to park. Valet is $42 a night which was outrageous, but public parking was much better. Drink and food prices are expensive, but it is South Beach and every place is the same. Service charge that others are complaining about is the tip, which every other place has as well. Could not say enough good things about the hotel. Booked through the hotels website rather than Expedia or those discount sites. It was cheaper and they treat you so much better. They even gave us an ocean view at no extra cost!
