No comparison to this view of the Grand Tetons. Go to the main dining room for a meal. You will see moose, Jackson Lake and the Grand Tetons! Totally awesome. Take the Jenny Lake boat tour. 1 HR for $17.00. wondetful.

Great views. Food is hit or miss, like most places in the park (grill at signal mt lodge was better). Cottages are spacious, slightly dated but still nice. Overall enjoyed my stay here!
We liked staying around the Grand Tetons better than Yellowstone as we also stayed at old faithful inn the nights before. The mountain view rooms were amazing and water activities and rides were close by at Colter Bay Marina which also has beautiful views. I would recommend staying at Jackson Lake Lodge where it's closer to the activities (if you like boating/kayaking/fishing) and visit Yellowstone a full day or two if that's in your itinerary.
The Mural restaurant wasn't bad. I've never had elk strip loin before and probably wouldn't again. It was cooked perfectly, but I prefer a nice beef steak over elk.
We didn't see any wildlife except for small prairie dogs up close which was fun. It may have been too hot mid July.
The rooms are extremely well insulated from noise from adjoining rooms. Very spacious and comfortable. The lodge had great dining at the pioneer grill. All staff we interacted with were fantastic!
I've stayed here several times over the decades. The rooms have been renovated and the one I had was very nice. Comfortable beds. Very helpful and polite staff. The view of the Tetons is always a marvel. Good restaurants and gift shops. The resort is centrally located so it is a good place to stay for early morning wildlife viewing. The paths around the lodge have 'Warning- grizzly bear in area' sings. I was there once when a person from the lodge came running up the hill to warn people they had spotted a grizzly bear and we had to quickly zip down the hill. So, if you are not comfortable in this type of area you might want to stay in Jackson. Dog friendly. No tv or air conditioning.
YOLO, worth staying in the main lodge for the veiws and in the morning all you have to dip is open the curtains to see elk herds, moose, foxes and bear. Well updated lodge with great food options at reasonable prices especially the pioneer grill. Taco salad the big and taste great. Shakes are good too. Lodge prices somewhat high but again for the verite and ability to walk straight down food it's great. Parents stayed in a cottage which us also very nice but can be a walk to some but closer to pool. Nice there's a medical clinic on site too. Pictures of tetons are from our hotel room. Fantastic
Great place to stay! Our cabin was kind of small but nice inside. There were tons of elk and a couple moose to watch. Even if you don't need a place to stay, stop here for lunch. They have EXCELLENT bison burgers. Best one I had on our trip
We had a very nice stay here! The energetic staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were terrific and the scenery was right out of a postcard. The food and drink options will not leave you disappointed either. It was a little crowded at times but the cottage area is very peaceful and you're never more than a short walk from peace and quiet. Be sure to go to the overlook early in the morning for wildlife spotting!
Historic lodge with great views through the floor to ceiling windows. Warm ambience in the lounge and restaurants, not pretentious at all though the prices in the Mural Room are over our budget. ($12 for grilled cheese and $35 for salmon) Definitely worth stopping to drink in the expansive views!
Great stop to spend a couple of days at the grand teton. The view from the lodge is amazing. Coming from Yellowstone where there is hardly any wifi service, the fast wifi here is much appreciated.
Id recommend the Sassy Moose Inn with free homemade breakfast daily. Other than this place having mountain views, appears to be more for business meetings, or people who want back yard views going to see animals. Or shop for expensive items .
excellent 1 hour horseback riding trip from Jackson lake lodge. 6 person tour, great guide, very informative and nice, even took pictures of us with our cameras on our horses.
Lunch here was very tasty. The portions were on the small side. It made up for the size in flavor. There is also a fantastic view of the Tetons. Don't expect to leave feeling full.
Well, they're basically the only game in town (that is the Grand Tetons). Although most of their staff is very competent, well-informed and helpful, the housekeeping staff was lackluster (room not made up despite 3 phone calls). The views are majestic, but that's not enough or justification for treating your guests with crappy accommodations. The food at the dining room, as one reviewer said, is tasteless. The wait staff service is outrageously poor. The rooms are spartan...think camp, or the YMCA. Liquid soap in the room (they really must mistrust their customers who might steal soap), postage size thin towels. Again, the Y has thicker towels. For the outrageous prices they charge (hey, we can get away with it, suckers), it's a big F-you to their guests. It could be so much nicer, but I felt I had had been sent to camp.
Best viewing location for the 2017 Total solar eclipse by a mile. They were extremely well organized. Lots of amazing sites to set up for viewing. Great restaurant after the eclipse. Incredible views. We would love to stay there someday.
We are staying in one of the cottages at the lodge. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The pool is a comfortable temperature and ranges from 3 to 5 ft. There is a large 2ft deep pool for kids as well. There is a nice place structure but it is very buggy back there, so bring bug spray. The view from the main lodge building is amazing, much like the other lodges in the park. Food options are rather lacking and pricey.
Had drinks and food at one of the restaurants with a spectacular view of Mount Moran. Great place to stop and hang out. The windows frame the mountains perfectly. Don't let the ugly exterior put you off before you get inside.
Great place to stop, enjoy the lodge atmosphere and gaze across Willow Flats, currently closed to public access due to bear activity. The views thru the picture windows are stunning and the back porch is a great place to wander. Today we walked up to lunch rock and encountered two moose along the way. Unique shops to visit in the lodge and plenty of parking out front.
Being in an emergency situation in need of a roof, we were very kindly received and offered a cabin without a booking. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We greatfully thank the staff for their professionalism.
This experience was beyond expectations. I called several months prior to plan a proposal for my girlfriend. Darcy and her team at the activities desk went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my proposal and trip was exceptional. I can t even give enough praise to describe how helpful they were. She helped me book a horseback riding tour to Oxbo Bend, with a photographer, etc. where I proposed. People talk about going the extra mile, and Darcy and her team exemplify what it means to provide stellar customer service and a wonderful experience. Furthermore, we took time to eat and drink at the Blue Heron which was amazing , with stellar service, food, and drinks. If you are looking for an enjoyable stay or fun excursions, the team at Grand Tetons Lodge/Jackson Lodge will make your experience one of a kind. Thanks again Darcy and everyone that made our trip/proposal so special.
If you have stopped by Grand Teton National Park, if you can stay here, make sure to stay~ You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the main lobby. If the price of the lodge is expensive and it is difficult to sleep, make sure to visit the Grand Teton at least once!
Large lodge off Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park. Amazing views of Wilson Flats, and the Tetons. Various dining venues to meet all tastes and needs. Hub for recreational activities. Pleasant cottages.
For the price ($$$$$) it is lacking. Would expect better quality of rooms and area. Also would recommend calling to make sure things are open (pool/roads/trails). Not at all bad, service is very friendly but I would say it is not worth the price.
Beautiful place but the management and some of the staff are bad eggs. We had 8 rooms booked and the cleaning was poor and at the end they tried to say we had $120 in wine purchased with our room number. First off, any hotel where you can purchase whatever you want whenever with no credit card or signature of the person who has the rooms booked has a rigged system and is open for theft and fraud. Anyone staying there could write our room number down and get taken advantage of. If you want to be ripped off, stay here but it's not worth the hassle considering you have great possibility of being duped. We also had ants all over our room and the management was very rude when we said the $120 wine fee was due to theft or a dishonest employee or customer putting random room numbers down for payment with no verification or proof that it's heir room.
Our 21st wedding anniversary. We were to have dinner in the Mural room and the reservation I made 2 months ago was lost. Finally got a table not by the window with no champagne. I am allergic to dairy. Please consider at least one dairy free entree that has a sauce and a carbohydrate. I had Brussels sprouts and green beans with elk loin and no sauce.they changed my order without even checking with me.
The lodge was okay, great food and the room was acceptable. They did not have air conditioning in the cottages, so be prepared for heat if visiting in the summer. Fortunately, it cools down significantly after dark, so I found it to be perfectly acceptable. The location is what makes this place amazing, stunning views of the mountains, and really easy access to the park.
Stopped for a quick bite after a day of hiking. My family loved the view. We placed a take out order at a family restaurant and ate out on the patio that looked out over Jackson Lake and the Tetons. My boys liked the cabins and asked if we could stay in them next year.
The Lodge is stunning. The people are genuinely gracious and caring. However, the details fall short of a 5-star rating. Our room had small fruit flies or other dead insects in the bathroom and behind the blinds. Not sure I would opt for NOT having my room cleaned for the sake of the environment.
The main Lodge is nice, but the cabins like the one we stayed in were pretty mediocre considering the price. The staff was great, friendly and attentive.
Wow, I spend one long week in Jackson Lake Lodge. It was a really big disappointment. We got there last Sunday the 11th, the lobby was nice, the check in was correct and polite. I went to the room, first impression: basic, 2 beds, no tv, light at the door, a table, one chair and a few more things. The bathroom looked renovate but the tub had some dirt stains. My wife told we didn t have Shampoo, conditioner, and soap / body wash, so I told that to the front desk. The view that they have from the lobby is amazing and to be fare, the location is also excellent. I think this lodge has a lot of potential but has a very big management problem. We had dinner at The Pioneer Grill, the waitress took the water and the food order and left, after 10 minutes waiting I had to remain her about the water and she told me hat she had forgotten. My wife got her plate, then my son, then my daughter and then me and it wasn t at the same time. The food wasn t good and neither the service. Monday: the light at my door stopped working, I told that to a guy that it was working at the housekeeping office next door from my room, and in front of me, he called someone on the radio and told him. The room wasn t very clean and I didn t have hot water. Tuesday: I didn t have coffee, the maintenance guy came, told him about the light from the door, he told me he was going to take care of it but he didn t know when because he was very busy. Wednesday: we came back late from Yellowstone, no coffee, the cup were dirty, the tub was dirty, they didn t vacuum, didn t change the light from the door and it wasn t hot water. Thursday: didn t change the light, I didn t have hot water, dirty room. At this point we bought liquid soap to clean the tub, sink and cups. Friday: by this day I spoke with one Front Desk Manager that I can t remember her name, Carl and they were very polite and understanding but took them long time to deal with the problems. So the worst happened: Friday morning my wife went to get a shower and we didn t have hot water, so that is how I meet Steven. I went to the front desk looking for the General Manager and Steven took his place. He told me he was going to take care, he was going to inform all to the GM and they were going to compensate me for the horrible staying that we had in the lodge. The compensation has 2 teddy bears, a bottle of wine, a chocolate bar and 2 letters from Steven and the Housekeeping Manager saying they were sorry. Friday Night: THEY HAD CHANGE THE LIGHT OF THE DOOR!!!!! One of the things I was surprise is when you walk around the lodge, the employees pass by your side and even when they do eye contact with you, they won t say hi to you, I thought that was rude but then I realize, what can I expect from the employees when the GM showed me he didn t care about a guest? I m very sorry, I was expecting a lot of this hotel and is a place I will never go back
Overpriced, inflexible with itinerary changes and no one here seems to care. The views are great but everything else was closed, understaffed, slow, or unresponsive. The website looks so nice, and except for the view, this place was disappointing.
The location of this lodge is unbelievable. The views are incredible. I was grateful for every second I was on this property, because it enabled me to be in the middle of this majestic national treasure all the while providing a convenient base for rest and refreshment. I wasn t there long enough to get an in depth feel for the lodge, but upon quick observation it seemed quite nice. I would definitely consider staying there for an upscale camping experience.
We did not stay at very high prices, but if we went to have a drink on its spectacular terrace from where you can see the mountains and the park, it is free, you can order a coffee and it is well worth the views.
Beautiful spot with unbelievable views, even with the smoke from wildfires. While front desk staff was very friendly and tried to solve problems with a smile, the stay was less than desirable, especially for the very high price commanded. I travel a lot and will happily pay a premium IF it is worth it. This was decidedly not. Lost reservation (even with my reservation email and confirmation number in hand.) Tired, thin walled rooms that were musty, beds that need replacement and with a housekeeping staff starts pounding on doors WAY too early and, we found in the morning, had not cleaned the tub from previous guests. Restaurant that posts they are open, but actually stop serving for shift change. So much that could be truly amazing, but in our case was not. I won't be back.
On a camping road trip this past summer I surprised my girlfriend with a night here for our 5 year anniversary. I thought it would be pretty nice but we were blown away by how great this place is.
Shortly after arriving in our room we had a knock at the door where one of the Cowboys from the lobby came by to deliver us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a hand written note congratulating us on our anniversary.
As others have mentioned the view from the lobby is spectacular. Both main restaurants allow you to enjoy the view why you eat and drink and the blue heron has an outside deck so you can really enjoy it if you haven't had your daily fill of outside time. There is also a pool bar with Mexican food as well as an all you can eat bbq buffet that includes a camp fire with s'mores for those who want some of the camping vibe without sleeping outside.
The service of the employees was excellent. Everyone we talked with was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good time.
What really put this place over the top was the food. Everything that is served in any of the restaurants is completely locally made. They make everything from scratch including their meat which they have their own butcher for and all the ingredients come from local farms, they had them listed out and everything looked like it was within an hour or two. And holy crap does it taste amazing, we even stopped by their little coffee shop to grab some breakfast on our last day there, which I expected to be a typical subpar $5 meal, but it was the most amazing breakfast burrito I've ever had.
Another note worthy mention is that being a national park this place puts in extra effort to reduce its carbon footprint. To reduce plastic they don't sell water bottles but instead have bottle filling stations for personal bottles. When we got coffee at the coffee shop the plastic cup had a note indicating that it was made from corn and was biodegradable. I would guess that is the reason the rooms don't have AC, which I've seen as the main complaint here, but really at night it's very cool outside. We stayed in the middle of July and were very comfortable. Just make sure to open your windows before you go to dinner and you'll be fine.
Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it. Yes it's expensive to spend the night, but even if your camping nearby I would suggest you stop by here for dinner, you will not regret it.
Re Dining: The Mural Room is not to be missed. GREAT buffet in the morning. GREAT dinner offerings. Been there many times. With the breadthtaking vista views, one of the BEST breakfast or dinners in America. Good, kind service largely by foreign college students. Chat with them! (Nice accommodations in the Lodge, or I personally prefer the Cabins.) Suggestion: Make reservations for dinner or lodging well in advance. Fun activities -- fishing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, NOT cheaply -- can be arranged at the Concierge. But HEY, you are on vacation!
The views of the Grand Tetons were absolutely mind blowing. We could hear the elk bugling outside, as soon as we walked in our room! We saw moose, elk, and deer everyday, right from our balcony! Go sit by the fire in the main lodge and take it in from the beautiful towering wall of windows. Don't forget your binoculars!
Most beautiful place on earth! Truely breathtaking every time you walk in the lodge and see the Grand Tetons through the several story tall windows. Great food as well with friendly service.
