Must visit restaurant named "Dakshin".. Amazing mouth watering south Indian food.... & " MSD's" favorite filter coffee

The parking management is abysmal at best. The property is otherwise great with some famous and favorite hang outs

Nice hotel to stay and organise events. Good hospitality, well managed guest rooms and they serve good food.

For the cost, we can go to Karaikudi and have Chettinad food directly...but the coconut milk is awesome.

Its a franchise... theu dont bother about the brand... dont waste your money

The standard of this hotel is slipping further and further. They have so many managers at this place but when it comes to dealing with complaints nobody wants to deal with it.
They used to have a front desk manager who took responsibility for these things and get them sorted. Lucky to give them three stars.

The room was stinking like some leakage has happened. It'd a 5 star hotel, other facilities were amazing but the room was pathetic

One of the oldest hotels in town - the "Adyar Gate", now "Crowne Plaza". Have several fond memories, from family dinners to best friend weddings, Dakshin, the south Indian restaurant here is a great place to sample the best of south Indian cuisine - from chettinadu to Andhra !

Crowne plaza location Adyar gate.Area surrounding is quite.They have breakfast buffet which is good,also available is lunch & dinner buffets.Swimming pool with gym.Has a steam room & health spa too.Pondy bazaar short ride by autorickshaw.Airport both domestic & international approx 30-40mins away.
Stay pleasant staff at reception & dinner hall very helpful & attentive.

This one is a very nice place and this building looks pretty attractive. Earlier it was Adyar Park Sheraton hotel. It was one of the top class star hotel having numerous amenities. Rich look and feel good place. Definitely we can try once. Moreover it is located in heart of the city Alwarpet. One of the happening place in Chennai. I had veg food here. Great place, super ambience, extremely friendly staff, super duper service. I wasn't a big fan of the appetizers. I felt it was a bit too oily for me and ruined the taste, but my friends seemed to like it. The other downer for me was the volume of the live music. It was a bit too loud for me. We couldn't have a normal business conversation during the dinner.

Deserves 7 star. I have a long affinity to this place

The place does not have the Oomph of the old ITC. Staff are friendly, though. And Dakshin is still one of the top South Indian restaurants in the country.

Was recently there for a conference. The arrangements were great and the hotel ambience is very good as well.

Lovely ambience leisure meeting spot rest is fantastic

Located at prime location in Chennai, Crowne Plaza faces a crowded street, but inside the hotel you get a very quiet ambience that allows you to enjoy your stay or a dinner with your family and friends. I visited the Arcot hall which can host a small gathering. You should definitely get into the elevator to feel the ride comfort offered by KONE.

The south indian restaurant in this 5 star hotel serves real great dishes

Good hotel in general but showing it's age, didn't like the sliding door of the bathroom.

Upmarket , upscale place located in posh neighborhood.

Good food. But certainly expect a higher standard considering the heritage of the hotel

Visited only Gatsby, very good service, food and drinks.
