Making their mark in the sky. The Petronas Twin Towers first sparked my interest when I saw them in the film "Entrapment." I even looked for the manhole cover that Catherine Zeta-Jones came up out of, but alas, no manhole in sight.
The towers are iconic and have a beautiful connection to the Muslim heritage in this city. Although the towers no longer hold the ranking of tallest single building in the world, they still make their mark in the sky and are well worth a visit.

A landmark in Malaysia, a must visit if you're in KL. You'll also enjoy its beautiful shopping mall Suria KLCC and lovely park with multiple fountains. Stick around for the daily fountain shows with music. Also, you could visit Petrosains if you're with the family.
A miraculous creation in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur. The design of the building was marvellous. It is almost impossible to take a normal phoyof the building from its bottom, only a panoramic pic can cover the whole. Best time of visit is early morning or evening(it is too hot at noon).
Built in the early 90's the Petronas Twin Towers has been an icon for many all over the world, especially for those of us who grew up in Asia or watched Asian films, these towers for a while we're in many action packed movies. They are still iconic today; though not as tall as the newer buildings around the world they are still formidable and at the 86th story still an amazing and breath taking view.
I enjoyed this experience very much and I thought it was interesting as I watched a movie for many years ago (Entrapment) in which the climax scene takes places at the Petronas Twin Towers. It's a bit expensive and some might argue that you could spend that money on something better. I thought this was a nice experience - some might be bored. SO - well it depends on who you are but the view is beautiful. Make sure you visit it before its getting too dark. About 5-6 pm might be a good time.
Amazing architecture and wonderful views. You are allowed only ten minutes on the bridge before they move you up to the gift shop floor so you better hurry up to take as many photography angles as you can take. Not too much time to hang out or lolly gag up there for 85 Malaysian dollar.
Petronas tower is also known as twin tower. It is situated in city center. It is directly connected by metro train service. These are 2 buildings which is connected by bridge on top..the Petronas Twin towers are as icon to Malaysia as the Eiffel tower is to France. From 1998 until 2004 they were the tallest buildings in the world, the Skybridge that connects the two towers is the highest two story bridge in the world..This is unique. A popular tourist attraction and wonderful place to visit. Very Beautiful and nice place for see in qualalampur. Many people take a ticket and go for see the towers. This is the top tourist attraction in Malaysia.
I really enjoyed the tour up here and thought it was very reasonably priced too. It takes around 45 minutes for the tour and I would say that this is adequate time for viewing and taking pictures. You get about 10 minutes on the bridge and around 20 minutes at the top of the tower. I did this visit at sunset/evening and really enjoyed it as I'd been up the KL tower in the daytime.
The views are great when the city is lit up at night and I prefer the evening visits for this type of experience. The group numbers aren't massive either so at each point it's not over crowded.
Excellent visit, we visited twice. Once in a morning and once at night. Both times were good for different reasons, the fountains were lovely to see from above at night. Fantastic place, the shopping mall is great too.
Beautiful area in front of the towers for taking pictures. I purchased 1 of these wide angle clip-on lenses for just $4 from a street vendor - with it I can take great pictures with both my front and rear cameras on my cellphone.
More than 6 years in Malaysia, doing my master and my PhD. I feel so good when I go there. Many restaurants and variety of food from different countries..many brands there like sony, Levi's and so on. All the world there. I love it
Really love this iconic building ... Landmark of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia .. Located at Golden Triangle.. Beautiful panorama when u visit on night... Please buy Skybridge ticket to enjoy the view from 86 floor
We have visited the twin Petronas Towers at 7 pm to watch the sunset from the top of Kuala Lumpur. It was great view but could have been better if we have choosen a bit earlier time as it was a bit more dark due to cloudy weather still we have enjoyed the visit and great views. My advise is to come a day earlier and book a suitable time to get your desired time if possible
Petronas Twin Towers is a signature of Malaysia. Suited in capital city of Kuala Lumpur is one of the tourist attraction place in the country. In my third trip to Malaysia, I visited that place at evening when the towers seems like glowing at night. We have been watch one of the nice and beautiful fountain show behind the towers. The tower have a shopping mall with world renowned brand shops which is also attract to the shoppers. I never been on the top of the tower.
The Twin Towers are amazing buildings it has a huge shopping centre with beautiful gardens and lovely lake & water fountains at the back Which is a great place to take photos. Both day and night views awesome so try to stay till the lights come on at night.
Wonderful place to hang around. Evening light and water fountain is amazing. One of the best I have seen in south Asia. Amazing ambience in the night. It's important to book in advance if you wanted to go on top of the tower and its closed on Sundays. Well designed for catching public transport. Just cross the road you will find metro .Such an amazing building.
Best to see it both during day time and at night. We went about 5 o'clock and took some photos in the day from the front. Then browsed the shopping centre and had dinner. Then went out the back to the park at around 7:30 took some great photos and then saw the fountain show at 8pm.There are also shows at 9 pm and 10pm. The show isn't that great but the park is pretty and relaxing to sit and have a good view of the towers.
Really nice experience that I totally recommend it! The guide was nice with us, speaking good English.
First stop is at the bridge between the 2 towers where, after a brief introduction, you are left to wonder and take pictures for 10/15 minutes.
The view from the top was really nice, we saw the sunset from there. Quite crowded so I recommend asking some fellow visitors to take you photos!
One particular awesome thing is the introductory video projection that is made on steam! Indeed. Steam. No photos though - you have to see it with your own eyes!
There's no reason to not visit Petronas Twin Towers I'd you are in Kuala Lumpur. Beautifully constructed, good amenities. There's a lake behind the towers and an affordable mall inside.
Absolutely Gorgeous and Stunning View of City One of the places of Iconic Kuala Lampur, this is a must visit after you arrive in Kuala Lampur. The structure is beautiful in the night with thousands of LEDs to light it up. It costs 80 MYR to go to the top and gaze the city below. There are gardens and fountains all around including a convenient shopping mall just like Dubai Mall.
My children love to spend their time at the Kinokuniya bookshop.I love spending my time in G floor where all the ladies stuffs is there at 1 floor.Great place in town
One of the best tourist attractions on Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One tower which has allows tourists is Petronas Tower owned by Petronas Group. Tourists dont have access to other building. What makes it attractive is the lobby between 2 towers. Tourist has access to 2 floors. Almost whole Kuala Lumpur city can be seen. There is a fountain show outside and also an elite shopping mall in ground floor. They are very particular with time slots for entry. If you miss the slot you won't be able to enter late and will have to purchase new entry ticket. It was a very good experience.
The Petronas Twin Towers are one of the most famous monuments in Malaysia. They towers house number of offices and us made of metal. During the day you can see the sun light reflecting over this shiny towers, but the view in the evening is magnificent with the lighting, the fountains. You will need a wide angle lens to cover the towers in a picture frame. There is a metro station KLCC just outside so it is easy to reach from anywhere in KualaLumpur.
Really nice shops down the bottom, very expensive brands. Bit annoying how only 1000 people can go to the sky bridge a day though. So if you want to go up to the sky bridge get there early.
Must see place in KL. We didn't go in the building. There is a park Infront of the building where you can go to take photos. But the park is too close to the building to take photos from a regular phone camera. So there are people trying to sell you phone camera lenses for MYR 150. Don't fall for these. Best to bring your own lense from elsewhere for about 80% of that price.
These towers and the grounds are a modern marvel not to be missed! I would highly recommend visiting these massive buildings. You will not be disappointed!
Shopping in here in glorious especially at Christmas as it is beautifully decorated. There is something to keep everyone happy shopping wise. Maybe call in at the Durian fruit stand to try their Durian flavour ice-cream ( won't tell you how my tasting went, that is for you). Then you can exit outside to the lovely gardens outside and the beautiful plants. A quick walk along and you can visit the Aquarium, this is a must see too.
We can't watch the entire building in a direct single view, we need to watch from a very long distance but we can't achieve that but because there are many buildings so you can't get that view...
Pretty to look at, they try to sell you these magnifying and expanding lenses outside which do work really well if you have an older model phone... I bought one for 40ringit (they want like 95 but just bargain)
Inside is a nice mall, 1st floor bathroom charges 2ringit, top floor by food court doesn't and also the food court is really good and affordable
Impressive construction and nice to see at close range. The photo spot north-west was crowded in the evening. On the Park-side the view is nice as well and you don't have to fight for a spot to make a nice photo. Below the towers there is a big mall which, as the other malls in Kuala Lumpur, contains mainly expensive brand stores but is worth a look.
This is the best of tallest buildings ever made. They look pretty good at night time. Such a picturesque view. The dancing fountains on great music is a must watch.
Quite disappointing. The windows were dirty. They only clean them twice a year. And, I was told that that will be happening next in late April. You get ushered into the viewing areas for such a little bit of the time and there is no background of who, why or how it was built. I understand that it is a large building with two large towers attached together and that there is an observation area on one of the towers, but there is no soul or background to the building. There is nothing that makes you feel that you are learning or there is an in-depth experience when you are going up there. Being able to go through the observation areas for about 30 minutes in total is unexceptable. Furthermore, for the price they charge foreigners they should fix the elevators on the transfer floor between the 83rd and the 86th floors. That smaller elevators is certainly not smooth and caused guests to shreek when it shook and jumped. In my opinion, for a building that you have to book sometimes days in advance and the elevator is enclosed with fake visuals to simulate outside and shortness of the tour, it was not what I expected. It lacked a feeling, especially if you are not afraid of heights. Between, the faulty virtual reality games on the main observation and the numerous dirty windows, some even having hand prints on them outside. In my opinion, the pricing and the time spent was not worth what you get. I hope they can improve on some, if not all of these points.
I ve seen many buildings before so this is nothing new to me but what I like is the things around this towers. They have a garden and mall and aquarium. It s definitely a place to visit if you come to Kuala Lumpur.
The jewel of the crown in KL. Being able to go up to the skybridge and then to the very top of the tower is a fantastic adventure. Worth the ticket price. Wish they allow people to stay a little longer , mainly when there are not that many people coming up, but it is understandable to control the flow of people and space in the different stages of the visit.
The monumental structure that defines Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. A sight to behold and takes time to absorb the greatness of the twin towers as they are something amazing to witness. Better to reserve the sky bridge tickets to go up a week prior. Made my trip complete.
They are absolutely marvelous, standing amongst this city of skyscrapers. It is surrounded by gardens, fountains and a beautiful space. For someone like me, who has not seen such architectural marvels; it was a treat! But if you come from New York or Singapore, it may not be as amusing.
Amazing architecture and beautiful building. Looks best at sunset when lights are on and natural light is fading. Inside, shoppers paradise. Definitely worth visiting when in KL.
Visited back in Feb before the MCO happened. I was lucky to get a tour of the towers before the shutdown. The towers are an amazing sight both inside and out, but inside you get to walk the famous sky bridge connecting the two towers. The most important reason is to visit and get the all important selfies and photos at this most famous of landmarks in KL.
I come to the area around KLCC at least once a week, and always go around the twin towers to destress. I don't know why but it's always nice here. I have always liked coming from Bukit Bintang, walking the walkway, past KLCC Park and coming across the towers. The sights never bore me. It can be too much at times, there are always plenty of people here, but the towers are always there and always stunning.
If you're a tourist. You can come to Petronas Tower by Go KL (psssttt it's free). You can take the Green Line and get off at KLCC (the last stop for Green Line bus). You can surrounding the Suria Mall or entering the mall to get to Petronas (I prefer enter the mall because outside was hot). The Petronas is located beside the mall and you'll find out the Petronas is easy to find :) Why i just give 4 stars? Because it was crowded and hard to find the best angle to take a picture there. And it was hot~
buy the tix and visit at the specific time. interesting experience. the building is next to a shopping mall. food at food court "signature" is cheap and taste not bad. a great try for a day tour at Malaysia
need to reserve 1 hour for the skywalk tour as after skywalk need to go up for another visit. only will let you down when times up.
no big bags allowed when visiting. if you want to buy souvenirs, pls keep some money before you hand in your bag
The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers are twin skyscrapers. According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat's official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. Standing 452 metres tall, the Petronas Twin Towers retained its world-title claim to fame until 2004 when Taipei's 101 was built, measuring 508 metres tall. Today, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (opened in 2010) retains the spot as the world s tallest building. Located in the KL city centre, the Petronas Twin Towers architecture is Islamic-inspired and the buildings primarily house the corporate headquarters of the Petronas Company and other offices.
Now my experience
No trip to KL would be complete without a visit to the world's tallest twin towers. A restricted number of tickets are given at the counter on a first come first served and the queue can start as early as 7 am. My friend and I were there on a Saturday morning at 8h30 and they were already sold out
I wasn t going to give up this easily so we got back earlier on Sunday and got tickets =]
A high speed elevator zooms you up to the 41st floor and you are allowed to spend 10 minutes on the bridge. The view is beautiful and very bright for pictures. Good place to visit.
