Don't get QuicikBooks at a discounted special price unless you are willing to be cheated.

We had purchased QB at a special rate. Later we needed to have a second license. Our original license was "cancelled" and we were "sold" a 2 license package. When the network would not come up properly we were told that we needed to buy an $800 service package. The whole process took many hours and in the end we asked to cancel the whole thing and go back to the original single license.

Because the single license was no longer available at the discounted rate, we were charged an additional $189 for not being serviced. The agents that I spoke to all blamed on the problem on their computer system. They could do nothing.

The only reason we still have QB is because all our records are in that system.

I wish I could give a "no-star" review. It's no wonder this company hasn't claimed the business on Yelp. There would be an outpouring of criticism for their practices.
BEFORE purchasing, or "renting" anything from intuit, make sure you understand what will happen if you don't follow their upgrade policy, which is, at a minimum, of every 3 years, or you will lose the following:
- online banking and bill pay
- payroll services
- quickbooks payment
- billing solutions
- technical support
AND, if you don't maintain your YEARLY upgrade (which is essentially paying for the product again) and you are using any service tied to that support, like credit card processing (allowing you to send an invoice to a customer with a link so they can pay online) will NO LONGER FUNCTION.
You would think that they would recognize this practice alone caused me, and probably many others to seek a new credit card processor...DUH!.
They try to sell this under the guise of "high quality customer support" (quote from a response from the "office of the president" of intuit)

"In an ongoing effort to ensure our customers gain the most benefit from QuickBooks products and receive high-quality customer support for current and recent versions of QuickBooks, Intuit discontinues access to services for older versions of QuickBooks (e.g., technical support, online banking, merchant services, etc.).
Anyway, online banking does not require anything from intuit servers. It is a direct connection to the bank. There is no need to discontinue it except to use it as a lever to force their customer, who has likely paid them a LOT of money over the years, to pay them yet again.

I can understand not having support, and I don't care about that. Deliberately turning things off is something a lowlife does.
I highly suspect that some of the 5 star reviews are not legit.

IM GLAD I DIDNT PAY FOR QUICKBOOKS AND JUST TESTED THE FREE TRIAL, I SWITCHED FROM PAYPAL BECAUSE OF ISSUES BUT QUICKBOOKS HAS PRESENTED ME MORE ISSUES, WASTED COUNTLESS HOURS OF MY TIME ON THE PHONE, LOST CLIENTS, AND GOT NO WHERE! THEY'RE HOLDING EVERY SINGLE PAYMENT MY CLIENTS MAKE AND IT'S CAUSING ME TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND LOSE MY HOME AND UNABLE TO PROVIDE FOR MY 2 KIDS. Horrible customers service! Order and paid for 3 card readers. We never received them They refused to reimburse or replace the missing card readers. Was on the phone for over an hour 3 times trying to get this resolved. had to pay and order 3 more. They charged us over $2300 for merchant fees just last month alone. We will be looking for a new credit card processor. Terrible way to do business

I've been a customer of Intuit for over three years and I've loved every single day with them. Today my accountant noticed that some of the bank transactions are being duplicated. So i thought i would call customer service and have them fix it from their end. Well, that wasn't the case here. I've been told that my files are corrupted and they need to hire a third party company to fix my issue. They charged me $399 to fix this issue. I believe that it is unfair since i pay for the online services monthly so i would not have issues like that. I understand if this would've happened on a desktop version of quickbooks, but it happened on the online version. Disappointing. Hopefully someone from intuit can reach out and fix this inconvenience...

Intuit Quick Books is an Absolutely horrible company. They are a scam and you can't cancel.
I have confirmation cancelling emails and they keep charging me every month. Their phone folks, if you can understand them, just say, oh - that is another department and then transfer you.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Find something else. There are lots of MUCH better custom apps.
Accountants you are NOT doing your clients a service by using this and then wanting your clients to also use it.
Additionally, their software stinks and is difficult to use. this is coming from someone who has done software web design and is an engineer.

I've been a customer of QBO for over 6 years. Every time they do an update we all pay, there is some bug that we have to find a work around. The latest one is you can't convert an estimate to an invoice. You have to hand type it, yes you heard me right like the 1950's. This problem has been going on for about 4 months and no fix. I don't know if they offshore there engineering but if you told me they did I would not be surprised. Its sad the product is good but the engineers keep destroying what is working. They obviously do zero to little beta testing so when they roll out a new version there is always a bunch of customers upset because it doesn't work anymore.

Look like the only ones giving a positive review are the people that work there. I wonder if they make them do so to offset the waive of negative and genuine reviews.

Automated support line is horrible, tech's are not...

Automated support line is horrible, tech's are not always the best. At least intuit products dont break that much.. but seriously I shouldnt have to say and spell my name for an automated system then wait 40 minutes

I have been a QB online customer for almost four y...

I have been a QB online customer for almost four years. On occasion QB and my bank connection has a miss-fire and the software engineers must reset the connection. This repair is usually made within 24 hours. Last week this happened (Sunday) and I contacted QB right away (Monday) and was told it would be taken care of. Two days later I call back to find nothing has been done and they wanted to try more troubleshooting steps (although I was never contacted to try these troubleshooting steps). I walked through these steps and nothing was fixed. I was told it would be escalated and fixed within 24 hours. I then called back a couple days later (Friday) because I still had no connection to sync my bank account and spoke with a supervisor who assured me that it was being taken care of and should be fixed shortly. It is now Monday and still nothing. I contact QB and requested to speak with a director because this issue wasn t being resolved and now 8 days in and getting the same we are working on it spiel. I was told that a Director would NOT speak to me and I would just have to wait until the problem is resolved We are at the end of Dec., tax time is right around the corner and I have no way to reconcile my books for P&L s or balance sheets. This is ridiculous and QuickBooks could care less.
