DISREGARD good reviews (probably friends/relatives) and carefully read all bad reviews, as I SHOULD have done!
Unfortunately, this place came up as having a phone in stock identical to the one that my parents (in their late 70 s) had. When I got there the phone wasn t in stock and they proceeded to sell me the next best thing.
The phone is used for security/emergencies.
I was surprised when my parents advised me that the phone, without being used, would turn off after 4 to 7 hours from a full charge!
I tested it myself and took pictures of it fully charged and pictures of it at 1% 6 hours later.
(OVER THE NEXT 2 WEEKS)
I returned it and it was replaced.
Same issues with the second phone!
I returned it and it was replaced with a more current model.
SAME ISSUES with the third phone - my parents were afraid to leave the house!
I returned it and asked for a refund to my credit card - the owner wasn t there to issue the refund so I left - no phone & no refund (yet).
Went to Rogers, purchased the same phone (different packaging) LESS $$ & WORKS PERFECTLY - over 60 hours of standby time! My parents were relieved!
THEN THE GAMES BEGAN!
I was called and told the phone was working fine and no credit would be given.
After leaving a message (no call back) I managed to get in contact with them 6 hours later and after a heated conversation I was told to come to the store to get a cash refund which will include restocking fees (I had noticed was 20%) - I agreed.
When I arrived at the location I was put on the phone with the owner who proceeded to tell me that because the phone was working properly the refund would be 50%!
I hung up, politely asked for my phone back and left. Once back to my vehicle I proceeded to smash the phone into pieces, cut the power chord into 4 pieces and placed everything back in the box.
I returned to the store, handed the box to the rep and left!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CROOKS!
