Terminal that has plenty of amenities for their drivers but kinda tight in parking space. Coffee bar is pretty good, plus they have a cafeteria which I haven't seen at any other of our terminals.
I gave this place a 5 star till Heartland bought them out. Sadly they chased away all the Owner Ops. Heartland is just another Swift!

Been driving for Interstate almost 2 years now, and zero complaints. Everyone I deal with, whether it's load planners, fleet managers, shop monkeys, cargo claims, billing, safety, complaince...they're all super friendly and helpful. The family atmosphere flows down from the owners at Saltchuk, and it shows. This isn't a company to drive for for a while, this is a company to retire from.
Interstate was great till heartless bought them out and it went down hill real fast, and was left to my own devices to get home when I was trown under the bus by driver manager when I wouldn't drive an automatic transmission truck, and wanted a real truck with a manual transmission. Anyone wanting to work here I feel sorry for and should run the other way.
My partner and I work as a team and we can't make it 5000 miles a week. For me it sucks as team drivers. I think you guys use us only to rescue your crappy loads. It also bothers me to constantly put in the same in same information.
I worked for spectrum logistic from 11/2015 to 4/2016 before it changed to be Interstate Distribution Co. Administration...I never have had problems with the apponiments or the costumers.. I have over 2,000,000 milions miles experince never had an accident before..But in 5/11/2015 before I started with spectrum logistic i made a jack nife for that reason i got care less driver... Never got a ticket or points for that accident from the Dot... But Interstate put me out...Be carefull all drivers working for that company...`

A perfect company. The CEO and CFO work in perfect harmony - like chili and cream, tortillas and fajita, mustaches and kisses, Coca and soccer, or La Virgen and lowered vans. Incredible. Company leaders have good values, and are open to suggestions. And they are still young, but they are very wise. That Father!
My husband and I have been here 6 months now. We absolutely love this company. We get good to great miles, really like our DM, treated good and respectful, good insurance and actually reasonable, good bonus program. Terminals have free laundry and showers.
Not a bad company to work for. Treat you fairly. Too bad they had trouble getting me loads toward home or I would still be with them....Now owned by Heartland, so who knows how that will be. I can only speak of how they were before being bought out........
The guys who run this company are straight up geniuses. With a legendary CEO, and a fantastic financial superstar as CFO at the helm, this company is a force to be reckoned with. I can only imagine the future leaders of the world that these great men are raising. All hail Interstate!
Ive been an owner op with interstate about a year and a half. It hasnt been perfect but theyve worked with me a lot when having to do swaps with the company my truck lease is through. All in all, i feel they treat us really well, better than some other companies, and i enjoy driving for them. Theres never going to be a perfect company out there. There will always be good and bad. Its what you make of it that counts. There are things i wish interstate helped more with as far as owner ops go, or that we made a higher percentage, but otherwise i feel interstate is a great company to be with. :)
Very disorganized, very cheap company, and poor planning on loads. Expect to run up and down i5 in heavy traffic, sit without loads, make about 200-300 miles a day. My Dm was great, but then he quit. Stuck me with someone who just didn't care. Everyone is quitting this company right now, they bleed 50-60 drivers a week and only get back 10. Mostly it's because they recently purchased two other large companies. Trucks are the stripped down models, no fridges, no inside mirrors, very basic 10 speeds. They are slowly improving though so check back next year.
I worked out of the Fort Worth yard and the people there is so unorganized the fleet manager Hector Revis was so horrible you'll be out all week and only have 1200 miles.He didn't have a clue what was going on.They constantly lie about everything he will have you sitting more than anything he will tell you it's a drop & hook you get there it's a live load then you get there the loads not do to pick up until hours later he didn't have a clue I recommend that you do not have Hector as a Fleet manager
Did a few years here. Over 50 times i had to call payroll to adjust my paycheck. Got tired of babysitting my check. Got tired of split drops in lathrop Cali yard. They short u miles. Over and over and over by split dropping you everywhere. Zero communication. . Fleet managers are decent. Equipment is highly maintained. Terminals are nice. But unless u wanna make 600 to 900 a week the rest of your life, id look at a better outfit then this.
I had to leave. Cause They kept saying freight was short. Sat 4 day weekends. And layovers constantly. Went from 3k miles a month to 1800 miles at best. They raised there prices on freight movement. Thus lost a lot of good accounts. They simply have no freight. I recommend anyone else. They simply dont give the miles. You will regret it. This is a true review. Save the headache. Get paid what your worth. Dont bank on false hopes with this company. They pay good cents per mile. But no miles. Run!

I've made my way finally into the Tacoma facility, and let me tell you it's great along with the other things I raved about it also has its own standard cafe. I mean it came with the building but was decided upon by upper management to allow it to stay. WONDERFUL IDEAL!! The food served here is outstanding, I and the honor program because it shows how much heartland loves their drivers. I wonder if we could use this as a pilot program and see if enough can be raised in order to implement it at other terminals .
Watched the husband and wife team of truck number or 1400 83 dump their piss jugs out
My driver manager is awesome. Good equipment. However I am a local diver since I can't be over the road anymore because of family circumstances. I was making more money $20+ years ago working in a warehouse plant. I was told last year and this October of 2017 that all drivers will get a pay raise. All the local driver's that I have spoken with haven't seen a penny. Only reason I am still here is because I am home usually every night. And I enjoy working with my dispatch. Something is going to have to change soon. No wonder there are always hiring drivers. Other local companies are paying $18-20 hr. in my area. Come on Heartland get up to speed. You can buy GTI and Interstate and not pay your driver's great competitive pay. On your pay scale on my fleet that I run I would have to have over 20+ years driving experience and not even make $18.00 hr what a joke.

Great people, cant say enough about that, very caring and most will know you by name, but equipment is bare min. Not all yards are equal in qaulity. Very little team frieght.

Worst company ever post a comment about my dad working for this company on Facebook yesterday and it gets delete overnight and I get blocked so weird right?? All I said was my dad ask for time off and got denied my dad use to work for Gordon trucking before heartland express bought them out and he never had a problem and when he start working under heartland express everything change he said they weren t so nice no more he got denied vacation time he got promised lot of things for switching over to heartland and they never came thru if i was you I wouldn t work here my dad wouldnt recommend this company neither I feel sorry for all the employees that work for this company go work some where we re they value you and respect you and wanna listen to you

Was an Interstate Terminal. Very very nice . Hope heartland doesn't change it.
This company is one of the best ones I ve worked for, and not just in trucking. They have well equipped new-newer trucks. The driver managers and safety are easy to work with and friendly. The benefits are sufficient. I ve been here 9 months and the only con I can think of is that I really can use a few extra miles but that just might be a seniority think. As long as I don t have any life changing events I can see myself here for a long time.
I don't get the negative reviews. I've had problems, but some discussion, and a little compromise on both sides generally fixes it. Certainly, I have few, if any, complaints about my miles. There's plenty of work. You just have to ask. My driver-manager is quite accommodating, and I have a great view of the ever-changing scenery outside my office window. The cafeteria at the Tacoma terminal, where I home-base, is a nice little perk also.
A driver from this company chose to park in a merging turn lane in order to pick up his lunch. He had ample opportunity to park safely. Yet this driver chose to park in an unsafe place, put on their emergency lights to get food! There was an empty parking lot less than a minute away. This driver was being lazy and causing traffic. I honked my horn to warn him that it was dangerous to be parked there and he flipped me off. I'm calling this business today in hopes that they won't do this again. Very rude company, I won't recommend it to anyone.

Works for me. Good fm, get home weekly for 1 or 2 days. Lots of drop hook on the van side. Im out of the fontana terminal. The people here really do treat drivers with respect. I think they understand that the drivers are the core of the company. What i really like is the different hometime options. I think Interstate understands that hometime is one of the most important things for truckers.
No star yet Interstate is bought out. New owner is Heartland Express. Drivers are foodstuffs on the menu at top of list. Interesting thing is that Hurtland Excess is big and has shareholders that want to be paid. Drivers can be successful with Heartburn and enjoy many years of good trips away from home and family. Weekly mileage might be something to examine first. I'm doing fair, on a scale of fair through good through excellent to fantastic.
Watch for more Heartland logo decals to increase immediately as Interstate disappears from truck doors. Trailers will be seen everywhere still until the trailer fleet ages out service.

This place had Five Stars, until I had to get a 20min AM Service on my Semi...I was second in line on Inspection at 9am this morning...Here, it's 13:53 PDT and the mechanic is still not finished with my Semi...
I just don't get it...Why does it take 4hrs yo do a 20min job and still the guy is not done...This is the first time in Heartland Express Terminal History that I ever have been delayed on a 20min AM Service and on a Brand new 2019 Semi...The other mechanic that's in the other bay, has already finished on his 5th or 6th Semi...
Disorganize, bollogny Interprise, No respect, lazy to return phone calls.
Want miles? Want good pay? Want to be reimbursed for tolls/other expenses in a timely manner? Want to be treated like an adult? Keep looking, this Is not the company your looking for. The people rating this place as anything over half are office workers or old reviews. They used to be decent to work for. In fact when I started 5 years ago they were pretty darn good. I have since left. and don't recommend anyone work here.
