Beautiful setting, catastrophic service. Nice teams but overwhelmed and under obvious staffing. Everything is a pretext for delay and yet the answer is "in fifteen minutes it's settled" which ultimately never was the case. Rooms not ready before 4 p.m. Meal trays lying around in the corridors. Queue for breakfast every day. Swimming pool supposedly by reservation but ultimately overcrowded. Not up to five star standards.

My girlfriend offered me a night to have a good time and to relax for my birthday last year. Hotel very beautiful from the outside, the interior is also beautiful, personal nice. Cleaning is to be reviewed in the spa and pool etc. The water in the pool was not heated and it was very noisy during public opening hours, but luckily it was an hour before opening and before closing or adults could enjoy and relax. Then it's impossible to get a good night's sleep because of the late evening and early morning work on the top floor or next room, all just awful. The speaker in the bathroom could not be muted because of the interuptor that was blocked. To tell you it was not joy. It is true a mini offer from management was offered for our next stay but not interesting and access to the spa was deducted, but it will not replace the anniversary wasted.

What a special hotel. From a distance, the classical building, which used to be a hospital, sits enthroned on a hill above the district "Panier". Big stairs lead up. If you enter the 5-star hotel, you will be surprised by a very modern interior. A great contrast. The rooms are all well equipped, with the standard rooms facing the sides and the backs have small windows. For the larger rooms facing out with a view of the harbor you pay almost twice. Wonderful terrace on the 1st floor. There is also a Michelin-star restaurant "Alcyone", which we also visited and which is very excellent.

To celebrate my birthday, my family and I decide to go to dinner in the restaurant "les terrasses" of the hotel Dieu
For dessert I am given an envelope containing cash. We pay the bill and off we go
Once in the car, I realize that I did not take the envelope so we call back the establishment which confirms that we have recovered the envelope, only after having recounted it was 200 missing
Having asked for an explanation, we are returned 100 which would have been "found on the ground", there is still 100 missing which would perhaps be between two towels ...
Hoping that the night brings advice otherwise you might as well go to the Quick

Perfection! The decor is modern, sophisticated and kept to the highest standards. The staff is friendly and helpful. Upon check in, they made us feel like celebrities. We found respite at their pool after a long day's journey from the US. Just steps out the door you wind into the old streets of Marseilles first stumbling into a soap shop then on to French bakeries, cafes and galleries. The location is convenient to many historic attractions and eateries. I would go to Marseilles again just to stay here.

Location and exceptional location. Room with terrace on the top floor and views of the perfect Mother ... however at this price some services would be expected: no special welcome in room (not even a free bottle of water), 22 euros a glass of champagne I would find it normal not to have to ask some accompaniments type pistachios or others .... a buffet breakfast very complete but the quality of bread very disappointing and service more than questionable (we were many to expect small spoons visibly unavailable in mass) .... in short the place and the good will of the teams are not everything, there is really a background work to do around the benefits and organization of the services offered.

Bet won, successful transformation, what to say between the view, the decor and the authenticity everything is there. Not to mention the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend this place steeped in history where you feel very good.

I stayed two nights in InterContinental Marseille ...

I stayed two nights in InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu mid-June 2018. My room was a balance of a beautifully modern design and cosiness. The bed was huge with lovely soft linen and each night my room (different each night) was large. Wifi speed in my hotel room was good. The lobby is also a beautiful design and if you have time to check out the spa - the pool is totally gorgeous. I had such a lovely swim, though not Olympic size, it's long and deep enough to have a decent swim and get some exercise. The front desk staff were very helpful, holding a room for me as I was unsure if I needed the second night, and they made sure I never needed to wait. My Dad was in the local hospital so it was a very stressful time for me, however I felt safe in this hotel, it was a lovely place to rest and the local stores/ restaurants were nice making me feel like a local not a tourist.

The breakfast served on the large patio was not good, the salmon made me feel a little sick and the scrabbled eggs were too runny. The breakfast waiter staff made me wait over 15 mins for my first coffee, but when I finally went over to the coffee counter to help myself they wouldn't let me. The whole breakfast experience took so long I decided to just take my plate of food back to my hotel room as I needed to make some calls and return to the hospital but they staff wouldn't let me. Most restaurant service in France is excellent, so it's not the norm. Even so, the view of Marseille from the court yard is very beautiful. I recommend getting breakfast from a local cafe just a short walk away.

As I returned in the evening I could hear live music playing from somewhere in the hotel - it's was such a perfect setting and quite romantic. I would definitely stay again. Amira rating: feeling the love :)

Great hotel !!! Location unbeatable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Big, clean rooms. The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast buffet is definitely recommended. For the fact that the hotel is located in the middle of the city, there is hardly anything to hear from the city life at night. If we would visit Marseille again, then only in connection with this hotel
