Delicious Italian food and friendly service! The wait was not long, we arrived on a Saturday at a little after 7pm. Found a spot at the bar to wait and our table was ready before our snack/appetizer arrived at the bar. Great value for the food, I'd recommend it to others looking for a great Italian dinner!

Nice surprise! Brighton Bar and Grill had a 20 minute wait for lunch, so we walked across the street and down a bit to, Ciao Amici's. What a find. Excellent Italian food. The chicken Marsala and the Eggplant Parmesan were both excellent. They were quite busy, but we had good service, also.

This place is absolutely amazing! Food and deserts are delicious, drinks are great too. The staff are very kind and personable. The owner makes a point to come around to every table and meet them. Making sure their experience at his restaurant is one to remember. Perfect for dining upstairs and special events downstairs. One of my favorites!!

Great food, nice atmosphere. I had the monk fish special and it tasted like Lobster. The wine was a bit pricey and I was confused by a 3$ up charge for a side ceasar salad, that was the same size as the house salad. Overall good experience.

Worked here for almost 3 years, from and insider and outsider, ciao is a wonderful place to eat. Ive read the "bad" reviews and most of them deal with bad service, and i can guarentee any where you go you might find that one server you dont click with, but ciao amicis is very strick in teaching proper politeness and etiquette. The manager goes over the specials and quizzes each server before a weekend shift. As for the menu changing, thats an inevitable thing in a restaurant but you can always as the server to ask the chef if they can try to cook the meal you want... They only want to accomodate you.

Only thing negative to say, is some customers of brighton thinking they own the world, only accepting certain location of tables, not understanding that when we are on a two hour wait that their reservation might have to wait five or so minutes while our bus boys are running around to clear tables.. compared to how we are treated, i cannot say that the service is bad at all in regards to the people/attitudes we have to deal with.

Decent service, but great food. The calamari, amici gorgonzola and tortellini diablo with sausage were all delicious! The pizza margherita came soggy and slightly uncooked. We had coffee and tiramisu for dessert and while the tiramisu was fantastic, we should have skipped the coffee.

Very nice atmosphere with a very good, professional waitstaff; white linen tablecloths and napkins. Casual dress is fine. The food was very good, actually incredible! The Butternut Ravioli and Chicken Cavatappi were great. First time here but not the last. Highly recommended for great experience!

First time dining at Ciao Amici and it was outstanding!! The Pasta Davinci was probably the best dish I ve ever had! The sauce was full of flavor and the mussels, scallops and shrimp were large and tender. My wife had the scallops which were also incredible. Overall a great experience and at a surprising value. Highly recommend.

I really liked Ciao Amici's when it first opened, but progressively since then they've removed our favorite items or changed the recipes we've preferred. Initially their 4-cheese (or was it 5-cheese) lasagna was the best pasta dish I've ever eaten. The stopped serving that a few years ago, but it was o.k. because their gnocchi was also amazing.

So tonight we ordered carry out, a pair of gnocchi for me and my wife and pizza/spagetti/ceasar salad for the kids. Well... they changed their gnocchi recipe on us and it's not nearly as good. I could make gnocchi this good... and it wouldn't be very good gnocchi. :(

The service itself was fine, but the no longer make their original delicious dishes we liked so unfortunately we don't have a compelling reason to order from there again.

I'm going to give it a 5 because consistently they are a 5. Today was more of a 4 since they were slammed. Colleen is the name of the main waitress running the bar area and she is why it is a 5. The wines she has recommended in the past have become favorites.

Bad food with awful portions. It was extremely overpriced aswell. My sister ordered spaghetti and meatballs and got one meat ball. The first time I went here it was great, though this time, not so much.

We had to wait but the wait was worth it! The aroma of the fresh food in the place was enough to satisfy but once we sat, every bite was a treat. Each and every course that we ordered was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right and made us feel as though we were in Italy. It also has a higher price tag depending on what all you get but again way worth it! Go there and enjoy yourselves!! You wont be disappointed!

This is my favorite restaurant. I don't make it in as much as I would love to but when I do it has been consistently delicious! I have had many dishes but my favorite is the Pasta Con Pollo. The description: Sauteed chicken and bacon tossed with spinach, mushrooms, penne pasta, fresh garlic
in a Asiago cream sauce and topped with fresh tomato relish. The portions are always enough for more than one meal for me. The picture I'm posting was after I had some. It is served with soup or salad and fresh bread. The service has always been exceptional. My work has had 3 Christmas parties in their lower level and my experience with that has always been spot on. And the last experience I will mention is when a high school friend who moved to Chicago came back for a visit, we all decided to get together at Ciao Amici's. There were 10 of us. Time got away from us. And before we realized it, we were the only ones left in the restaurant! The staff waiting on us. My guess is that they couldn't wait to get us out but We never would have known. They continued to wait on us. Pour water, etc... Always with a genuine smile. Upon leaving, the owner was at the hostess station. And again, very nicely thanked us for coming. We thanked him for letting us stay. I recommend Ciao Amici's. It will not disappoint! (After all these years of dining there, I can almost spell it!)

I've been here twice and both times I was amazed at how good the food is! They went a little cheap on the decor but I will definitely be going back. They've been busy both times I went. Once during the blues festival, once on Valentine's day and they still manage to provide great sevice and excellent food. Two thumbs up!

The service and staff were absolutely amazing. The food was great and on point. I grew up in Chicago, IL and love Italian food, and it made me feel like I was home again. The only thing I would add is maybe a bit of a personal touch with maybe a floating trio of musicians, I.e. singers or violins, and maybe offer a flower arrangement for date nights.
However, I took the woman of my dreams here for our 1rst official date, and we had an absolutely perfect evening, and when I'm ready to marry this girl and ask for her hand, I will do so here, in this establishment. Thank you for making the 1rst date one for the memory books.

I was here for luncheon after a funeral. The food was excellent, the room was clean & pleasant, and the waitstaff were attentive. And Tiramisu! My favorite! Also, they have their own parking lot, which is great for a downtown restaurant.
